Football What To Do? My Take on Boosters & More

What To Do? My Take on Boosters & More

I thought today would be an excellent day to review a few things I was thinking about this morning.

I want to start by providing some context with statements that got me thinking. This is in NO way, shape, or fashion calling anyone out, but rather a baseline point of reference for my thought process.

But the people who matter aren't as concerned with it. That much is obvious.

If Florida does not fire Billy Napier, they are not serious about Florida Football.

First things first. Unless you are speaking directly to one of the very few, and I mean VERY few people who will determine Coach Napier and his coach's fate moving forward, you simply can't make a statement like the ones above. We all can and should have opinions on the situation, but those statements above are false.

I don't know the exact buyout, so for the discussion, I will call it 25 Million (that is pretty close). Boosters are VERY serious about Florida football, so they have put millions upon millions into the program. To say they are not serious about football is silly, but again, this is just my opinion.

You can be very serious about Florida, the program, players, coaches, and the team's direction and still decide not to fork over that considerable amount of money. It does not mean you are not serious about Florida football because someone chose not to throw millions of dollars for a new staff.

People who can't afford to invest millions into the program might be upset or angry that those who can don't, but that is their choice. I don't see how someone can get upset with another person for not spending that kind of money. If you want to be that guy or gal, to make that kind of money, and you can.

People always talk about how angry they are against NFL owners. Be an NFL owner is all I can say, and you can do whatever you want. Make millions, and you can decide to spend that money however you like. I think it's easy for those without those means to criticize those with those opportunities. Like they always say, spending someone else's money is very easy.

Before the Georgia game, it was pretty safe to say or assume that most folks wanted a change; most still do. However, after the Georgia game, we saw a pretty significant shift, with more people saying they could see him getting another year - I can only assume this was based on two things. No. 1, the performance of the team and the way they played, and No. 2, the DJ Lagway injury, which seemingly makes the next three games nonimportant.

What is my point? The point is pretty simple - IF regular fans changed their tune and only if a little bit about bringing Billy Napier back (no matter the reason), so could the big money guys - call it human nature, if you will.

I believe there will be a clear direction for the program's future soon. However, while true, it might not be public information simultaneously.

I can't answer why or even if it should (Lagway Injury) change the Billy Napier thought process, but it appears it has just been by reading the board. Right now, the best thing to do is to be patient because I believe a decision is coming soon.

Even saying all of this could still change. Say Florida plays the next three games the way they did vs Georgia but comes up short with three close losses and then gets beat by a one-win FSU team at the end of the year. Guess what this brings right back into play: human nature.

I will leave you with this for those who want Billy Napier replaced. The biggest boosters on the UF planet might feel exactly the way you do and still decide not to spend the money they will need to replace him.

Football Urban endorses Stricklin decision

Buddy Martin

Urban Endorses Retaining Billy. Thinks CFB Season Is ‘Fantastic.'

Scott Stricklin is showing loyalty and I’m very happy for that coach because I am a Gator fan.’

They have tried to sack you a number of times, but you keep escaping the

Guillotine, coming back like a bad penny. In Las Vegas, they keep saying you are a dead man walking, but here you are again, back in the news, fighting for your job, dodging bullets and trying to find a path to go forward.

And then one day you get a lifeline. And you’re back!

Sound familiar?

No, not Donald Trump, but Billy Napier. Come to think of it, they both escaped the hatchet this week. Billy Napier is still the Florida head coach. And Donald Trump is your president. Even if you’re not happy with either, or both. So, let’s move forward.

Because there is no crying in college football, there is no “I” in the word t-e-a-m. and there shouldn’t be any Quit in The Swamp, even if you’re not happy with your new football coach.

CFB today is like what Jim Valvano once said about March Madness: “Survive and advance.”

For the rest of this Gator season, it’s about survival. Texas, LSU and then Ole Miss, with Turkey Day vs FSU sandwiched in at the end. We shall see next season about any advancement.

Some call it “Demolition Derby Season.”

People like Urban Meyer and I love it, because we’re both huge CFB fans, as we discussed Friday on SEC Sidelines/The Buddy Martin Show.

“I’m blown away,” Meyer said. “One of the greatest things that ever happened to college football is the playoffs. There are 25 teams involved and hundreds of players. But it’s much more that because there’s hope. I can’t imagine it being better. I think it’s fantastic.”

Urban feels maybe there’s not enough emphasis put on strength of schedule and that “some of these three-loss SEC teams” aren’t getting enough credit. He expects teams that didn’t play a ranked team could even be in the playoffs. If they are in the mix at the end and get a crack at higher ranked teams “we know how that would turn out.”

On the other hand, he’s still riding with Ohio State as a top contender and favorite because of their remarkable depth of talent and smack-you-in-the-mouth physicality, as it showed in last week’s big win over Penn State.

Urban also addressed Florida’s decision to bring Billy Napier back in 2025.

“I will say this about Coach Napier – I thought they were done. I don’t know really, but there really must be a decent culture because of the way they are playing. A third string quarterback and they’re spreading out against Georgia. I just hope they don’t just accept those losses.

“Scott Stricklin is showing loyalty and I’m very happy for that coach because I am a Gator fan.”

Urban agrees extending Napier was the proper play, one that had the fingerprints of super-agent Jimmy Sexton all over it.

New Story Florida @ Texas Raw & Unedited Instant Analysis.

FIRST HALF:

Here I am once again hoping the Gators get the ball to open the game and march down the field for 7 to set the tone. And UF defers again to the second half. Welp, here we go the UF defense on the field first to start the game. 84-years since UF has played Texas, pretty cool honestly. 1st and 10 Texas from the 25 and Quinn Ewers. Texas 7-1 on the year only loss was when the dogs beat them up physically. And an easy quick pass and first down for Texas. 1st and 10 – from the 35, and I. Bond is back so look for deep shots today from Texas. Desmond Watson getting the start inside for UF. Another pass to D Moore and another first down pass. 1st and 10 from the 46 – Bridges beat easily inside on that slant route. And another big pass this time to Helm the TE and a long gain to the UF 34 and D. Watson should not be on the field – then a run for five yards inside the 30 yard line. 2nd and 5 – shallow cross for another first down and the DL getting NO pressure at all. 1st and 10 from the 23 and a quick pass to the RB and another 8 yards inside the 20 now Texas moving like butter vs the injured UF defense. 2nd and 3 from the 15 or so of UF – HUGE TFL by the D and K James busted through the OL and forced the play and Thornton made the loss of 7. HUGE play by the D and now a 3rd and 10 --- UF with lots of young guys in the game, Myles Graham getting reps early in this one. Time out by Texas on the field. HUGE sack by Searcy!! FG Time for Texas and he actually forced a fumble but Ewers fell on the ball and MISSED FG……

1st and 10 UF at the UF 33 – quick pass to Mizell and about four yard gain made the first guy or two miss. 2nd and 5 call it – Baugh straight ahead for about 10 maybe, man 235 pounds and he looks like he is 190!.. 1st and 10 from the UF 42 – Baugh TFL about two – 2nd and 12 – throw to Boardingham and another loss this time about four. 3rd and about 16 and here comes a run I am sure of that – 3rd and 15 – and we motion a RB out wide at WR – Dike for a gain of about 6 and punt time for UF – Crawshaw with another good punt down at the 15…

1st and 10 from the Texas 15 – Lucky bc horrible throw and McClain fell down and BOND was wide open and would have been 85 and a TD – WOW – 2nd and 10 – WOW and UF blows a pick by Gumbs right in his hands…gotta make those plays today! I mean RIGHT in his hands – 3rd and 10 – WOW should have been sacked and ended up tucking and running and gained about 8 so 4th and 2 and punt time for Texas – and they are going for it – first down on second effort surge. Wow lol first down Texas at the 25 – end around I Bond HUGE gain all the way down to the UF 30 – run for about one maybe. Nice play by Pyburn – 2nd and 9 – Jack with 30 tackles his last five games – wide OPEN TD and I do mean WIDE OPEN for the TD and a quick 7-0 edge for Texas…..Sark is a great play caller and they set that up PERFECTLY for the wide open TD.

1st and 10 at the UF 25 – Deep ball overthrown to Dike – incomplete but good throw it looked like good coverage –and 3rd and long again early on for UF – Flag on Arliss 3rd and 15 but what’s five more yards going to matter at this point – J Jackson run and fumble and Texas ball and a block in the back so 1st and 10 at the UF 22 or so – wheel route and good coverage by Denson over thrown – 2nd and 10 – and the TE WALKED INTO THE ENDZONE WIDE OPEN – Horrible coverage by the UF Defense – Graham was confused on that play. 14-0

1st and 10 UF from the 25 – and Baugh decided to bring it out so at the 16 and first down UF – Baugh with a three yard gain – 2nd and 7 – Baugh bounces it outside for a first down gain of about 10 – 1st and 10- at the UF 30 – Run for nada. 2nd and 10 – Baugh up the gut for about 2 maybe 3rd and 8. Texas by the way has the top D in America soooo…..Warner complete but short of the first down to Burke. Punt time again – Looks like UF might go for it I mean why not? And they are punting the football --- and lol wow we had a chance to down inside the five and it bounces off Rocco so touchback…

1st and 10 at the Texas 25 – run for about two and a flag down on the play – holding on Texas – Pass to Helm and no gain – 2nd and 20, LJ McCray on the tackle – good pressure and 3rd and 20 after the incomplete pass --- check down for about three and punt time for Texas – 1st and 10 UF at the UF 46 1st and 10 UF – J Jackson in at RB for the Gators behind Warner – 12:56 to play in the second quarter – WIDE OPEN TO DIKE all the way down to the Texas 15 yard line after the 40 yard pass play – miscommunication that time by Warner in the backfield he turned the wrong way and kept it got about one yard. 2nd and 9 – Baugh at Wildcat and gained about 6 man when he gets going he moves the pile!! 3rd and 4 – two downs to get four yards and UF needs a TO there – Warner confused which is to be expected --- 1988 since UF has been shut out by the way --- Baugh for gain of one. 4th and 2 and here comes the FG – and missed it…

1st and 10 Texas from the Texas Check down for about two – 2nd and 8 – run for about two maybe. 3rd and 6 I think it is – Simple pass wide open and another first down a great play design by Sark again to allow Bond to get wide open – from the 40 – Castell was burned BADLY and guy was WIDE OPEN and dropped the ball…run for a couple to the 47 yard line. 3rd and 5 – another wide open and Ewers overthrow – 4th and 5 – UF ball at the 13 after the punt with UF down 14.

1st and 10 UF at the UF 13 down 14-0. Dike was open but Warner under pressure and missed his WR – 2nd and 10 – Run and no gain or one yard for Baugh – 3rd and 9 – Gators now 0-5 on third down tried to get the ball to Hawkins in space did not work lost three. 4th and 13 or so. Punt time for the Gators. 1st and 10 Texas at the 50 – and a Texas TD just like that on a quick pass to the RB and he does not get touched TD Texas 21-0

1st and 10 UF from the UF 18 as Baugh once again brings the ball out short of the 25 yard line – J Jackson for a first down snuck out of the backfield for a first down catch – Jackosn run for about five but a flag down – Illegal block on Texas add 15 and this drive could be UF best chance to score gotta stay ahead of the chains to have a chance at scoring – 1st and 10 from the 50 – Warner under HEAVY pressure throws it away thank goodness. 2nd and 10 – 4:57 to go in the second quarter – Jackson for gain of about 5 maybe. 3rd and 5 and this IS four down territory – TOUGH run for a first down by Jackson…1st and 10 at the Texas 35 and that is the UF first third down conversion of the day – now 1 for 7 I think. Jackson gain for about 5 more. 2nd and about 5 with under three to play in the first half – Warner sacked . and keep an eye on Bryce Lovett at RG love that kid he is going to be an NFL draft guy…..3rd and 4 – with 2:04 to play – under heavy pressure again and overthrown by Warner and Barber with the holding – 3rd and 14 – blitz, sack. Warner NEVER saw him coming – no one was even open though….

1st and 10 at the Texas 25 – with 1:46 to play – Wonder if Texas tries to score here or just get to the half – quick pass for a few yards and 2nd and 7 – 1:47 to go – Blue out of the backfield little swing pass and made derek wingo look REAL bad I mean REAL bad huge gain but a flag down..that play went all the way down to the UF 35 and he made Cormani LOOK just as badly..1st and 10 with 1:30 and incomplete – and Texas TD so 28-0 There is Cormani again BEAT BADLY TD Texas..Ewers with four TD passes in the first half…

1:19 to play and Texas up 28-0. 1st and 10 UF from the UF 25 – yard line. Texas has seven plays in the first half for OVER 20 yards by the way. Baugh for 11 yards off the right side UF going fast to the line – 1 minute to play and clock ticking – and ball tipped I think and picked off by Texas. 1st and 10 at the UF 40 – Texas WRs running wide open all over the field down to the UF 25 – five first half TD passes BUT the guy was juggling the ball lol wow. Bridges beat again…so 2nd and 10 – Jaden Blue down inside the ten with 30 seconds remaining – Blue TD Run 35-0 Texas…

35-0 Texas with :23 seconds to play in the first half..1st and 10 UF from the UF 25 – yard line – run for about 7 by J Jackson and that will end the half…..

The best part of this game MIGHT be the fact that they are interviewing the Undertaker in the booth lol. 1st and 10 UF from the UF 25 – Baugh for nine run and went over a DB. 2nd and 1 – Warner picked off again – tipped again – 1st and 10 Texas at the UF 31 – Run for about one – 2nd and 9 – Run for no gain. 3rd and 9 or so and Texas going to run run and throw on third downs and keep the clock ticking I would think – Flag down false start on Texas. 3rd and 13 or so – Half the d missed Bond and easy TD 42-0 Texas.

1st and 10 UF from the UF 25 yard line – Jackosn with a nice run for about 7 so 2nd and 3 – roughly – Jackson for a first down run. 1st and 10 at the 37 – Jackson again for about four yards – 2nd and 6 with 11:20 and clock ticking – Jackson for about 3 or 4 and now a 3rd and 2 – Baugh from Wildcat and a first down – 1st and 10 – incomplete looking for Dike – Baugh for about four yards – nice pass and catch by Baugh for first down and late hit on Texas so 15 more yards for UF. 1st and 10 at the Texas 25 yard line – Bough for about two yards – 2nd and 8 – 456 games in a row UF has scored --- Warner into the endzone overthrown. 3rd and 8 – Baugh with a great run for a first down at the Texas 6 – Baugh gains one up the middle maybe two – 2nd and Goal. Warner overthrown Jackson fell down was a walk in TD – 3rd and Goal – overthrown and here comes a FG try…down 42-0 I get it but this scoring streak is about as meaningful as well I don’t even know…..42-3 Texas but hey the streak continues….

1st and 10 Texas from the 25-yard line – Run for Texas for five yards – as Arch Manning is in the game for Texas – First down run – 1st and 10 but a flag on the play holding by Texas so 2nd and 15 – Manning looking to throw the ball into triple coverage – 3rd and 15 – great throw and catch but he was out of bounds or juggled it as he was going out of bounds – punt time – 4th and 15 – and it actually might be a catch very close to having his right foot down when he did secure the ball. Actually, now after a new replay he bobbled it when he hit the ground as well..not a catch. Punt time. 1st and 10 UF at the UF 45

1st and 10 at the UF 45 – runs on first and second down so now we have a 3rd and 2 for the Gators with still five minutes left in the 3rd QT – Jackson with another nice little run up the middle for about 6-7 and first down and ten at the Texas 40 – Boardingham with a catch and first down…1st and 10 at the 28 of Texas – Warner with a dart to Dike for another first down – 1st and 10 at the Texas 15 yard line – run for a couple. 2nd and 6 – from the 11 -- first down run by Jackson and a 1st and Goal – Texas has the starters still in on D right now – 1st and Goal – Baugh for about three. 2nd and Goal at the Texas two yard line – Baugh with a TOUGH run carrying multiple Texas defenders into the endzone. 42-10.

1st and 10 Texas from the Texas 25 – run for welp a ton all the way to the UF 35 ish. Texas trying to run clock and about to score again – 1st and 10 from the 30 – and 12 more on the ground down to the UF 18 – quick pass for a couple of yards down to the 15 or so. End of the third quarter.

2nd and 6 from the 13 and a TD run and not sure he was even touched. 49-10 Texas. Jerrick Gibson by the way looks great….

1st and 10 at the 20 and Baugh for about 4 and now a 2nd and 6 – 14:10 left to play in the 4th QT – incomplete as he was under heavy pressure again – 3rd and 6 incomplete – punt time for the Gators --

1st and 10 Texas after a 15 yard flag vs J. Weston on the illegal contact play on the punt. Targeting so 15 yards. 1st and 10 Texas – should not be targeting but the flag will stand on the 15 yards kick coverage interference – J Gibson for a couple more yards – 2nd and 7 – quick pass and another first down for Texas. 1st and 10 at the 38 of UF and Texas for a few more yards. 2nd and 7 – Manning for a first down after making Bridges miss but flag on Texas replay of the down. 2nd and 13 or so – FF on a run by Graham and Gators cover the ball. A Gates jumped on it after MG forced it. 1st and 10 UF from the UF 35 or so.

The Steve Spurrier Heisman House commercial was the best thing I saw today so far!!!! 1st and 10 UF at the UF 33 – Pass to Dike nice gain and first down at the Texas 49 yard line – J Jackson nice tough run for about 9 yards at the Texas 41 or so. 2nd and 1 – overthrow to Mizell on the sidelines. 3rd and 1 – Jackson first down run for the Gators. 1st and 10 from the Texas 35 and Jackson with another ten yard run – 1st down Gators from the 25 and Dike with the catch inside the ten yard line first and goal for the Gators – J Jackson TD run. He is running hard all day today and actually all year. 49-17 Texas with 8:27 to play and Jackson has 116 yards running today.

Feels like this game is taking forever. 1st and 10 Texas from the Texas 25 – Run for about 8 or so. 2nd and 2 -- slant way overthrown from Manning – run for a first down on 3rd and 2 – 1st and 10 Texas and Gibson fumble but he recovers it. 2nd and 13 – Gibson for about 10 or so great effort by J Gibson that time and push from the OL – 3rd and 3 – Gibson for a few more yards – 1st and 10 – 5:30 to go and clock ticking – Gibson for gain of two at the Texas 48 – 4th and 2 Texas going for it and Gibson gets the first down at the UF 43. 1st and 10 Texas – Gibson breaks one inside the ten yard line – 1:38 to go – from the ten yard line – Gibson runs to the 6 and clock ticking at 1:21 and rolling. Gibson with over a 100-yards rushing today --- 2nd and Goal – Texas taking a knee…Bye from Austin, Texas. Texas 49-Florida 17. Texas by the way averaged 9 yards a play......

Wow this is spot on.

Ive said I want to move to the woods and be left alone. I thought I was one of the few who hates losing the culture wars and just want out of the day to day nonsense of our perverted society. I am GenX and a lot of us have the same upbringing and beliefs. Its just that we are quiet and ignored.

We showed up and out Bigly, Hugely, Spectacularly for our Big guy (not Hunters.) Thanks to my brothers and sisters, the extra 7 percent, that finally decided to do something like vote for Trump this time . Our portfolios have been f'd from 2000-2002, 2008-2016, and 2021-2024. Retirement is coming and a lot of us are not ready. Its time to make some hay and get it in the barn. Its time to put cultural Marxism, DEI and LGBTQ out to pasture.

A lot of these speak to/for me perfectly:

New Story Florida Gators versus Texas Longhorns Preview

Florida Gators versus Texas Longhorns Preview
(HECTOR)

The Florida Gators will travel to Austin, Texas, to take on the Texas Longhorns. The Gators haven’t played against the Longhorns in Austin since the 1939 season. Texas has a 2-0-1 all-time record against the University of Florida.

Florida is coming off a tough rivalry loss versus the Georgia Bulldogs. The Texas Longhorns are coming off a bye week but defeated Vanderbilt in their last game. Here is the game preview for the Florida Gators versus Texas Longhorns.

Texas Longhorns

The Texas Longhorns will host the Florida Gators for the first time as an SEC opponent. The Longhorns will be led by their head coach, Steve Sarkisian, who’s entering his fourth season as the head coach for Texas.

The Texas offense will be led by their quarterback, Quinn Ewers. The former Ohio State transfer is considered to be one of the top quarterbacks in the 2025 NFL Draft. Ewers has completed 69.2% of his passes for 1,389 yards, fifteen total touchdowns, and six interceptions.

Junior wide receiver Isaiah Bond was one of the biggest names in the Transfer Portal and has made an immediate impact for the Longhorns. The Alabama transfer has recorded 23 receptions for 380 receiving yards and four touchdowns. Bond was also previously committed to the University of Florida as a high school recruit.

The Texas Longhorns defense is arguably the #1 defense in college football. PFF ranks Texas as the #1 defense in the nation (94.6 PFF grade). The Longhorns have the #1 total defense (241.2 YPG) and are second in the nation in scoring defense (11.5 PPG).

Sophomore linebacker Anthony Hill Jr. is the leader of the Texas defense. Hill leads the Longhorns in tackles with 28 solo tackles and 58 total tackles. He also leads Texas in tackles for loss (10) and sacks (5.5). Two other Texas Longhorns to watch this Saturday are running back Jaydon Blue and EDGE rusher Colin Simmons.

Florida Gators

The Florida Gators are coming into this game with major question marks with the availability of some of their top players. However, Billy Napier is no longer coaching for his job as Florida’s athletic director, Scott Stricklin, has announced Napier will stay at the University of Florida for next season.

The Florida Gators offense has not announced a starting quarterback since DJ Lagway is questionable with a hamstring injury. Lagway suffered his hamstring injury last Saturday against the Georgia Bulldogs. If Lagway is out, walk-on Yale transfer Aidan Warner will make his first collegiate start.

Senior running back Montrell Johnson is also listed as questionable for the Texas game. However, Jadan Baugh and JaKobi Jackson have played very well in Montrell’s absence. Both running backs rushed for over 60 yards against a stout Georgia front seven.

The Florida defense has continued to impress since their first bye week early in the season. While Florida’s pass rushers haven’t won in the trenches, they have had good play from their linebackers and defensive backs.

Sophomore linebacker Grayson Howard has been an excellent addition to Florida’s roster. The South Carolina transfer has recorded 37 total tackles including seventeen solo tackles on the season. Howard also has two tackles for loss, one sack, two fumble recoveries, and one forced fumble. Two other Gators to watch in the Texas game are wide receiver Elijhah Badger and defensive back Aaron Gates.

Their are 3 huge issues with the administration and these 3 reason are why Gator fans are calling for their heads!!!

Yes, winning cures all things and would make Gator fans forgive these 3 issues. However, if it wasn’t for these 3 issues I would actually be okay with retaining Napier, which by the way I still don’t fully believe because he could lose to the worse FSU team I have ever seen.

Side rant: If we lose to FSU he is gone. If they keep him their WILL BE a boycott. I will start it my damn self if I have to…

Let’s get to the 3 issues

1. The expectation of blind faith/lack of transparency - This is the most heinous one IMO because it feels like they don't believe they owe us a plan. I know people say football in the south is like a religion all the time, but it is just a saying. Our administration acts like they are a god and that people should follow them blindly. NO!!!!! If I am going to dedicate money and time then you need to give me a plan. Napier, would be going into his 4th season next year with a losing record. You don’t get to retain him without giving out a detailed plan. Why is year 4 going to be different? What specifically will make it different? Do you plan on dedicating more funds to NIL and/or make staffing changes??? What is the damn plan??? I am no longer okay with the plan being kept private. Mostly, because we have been so bad for so long now I am beginning to think we never had one in the first place.

2. Lack of humility - The letter Scott Stricklin wrote to Gator nation demonstrates this so perfectly. He believes in Billy Napier, but Napier keeps losing games, which is you basically saying it is either your fault or the administrations fault for not providing him enough support. However, nowhere in that letter does Stricklin take any accountability for the product on the field. I think back to every time he has addressed the media in the past and I realize he never has….his words indicate he doesn’t believe he has done anything wrong. Even, if he does believe he has made mistakes he has not admitted them to the fans, which as a fan makes me believe he has not and will not learn from them.

3. Taking advantage of the loyalty of the fanbase - Actually, I changed my mind this one is the most heinous by far. Scott Stricklin’s letter basically states that the fact our fanbase is so loyal and loves their Gators so much he doesn’t believe that the income lost by retaining Napier will come close to 25 million. He points this out by the fact we are selling out or nearly selling out every home game still. The loyalty of our fanbase is actually being used against us. If we decided to not support the team then there would be no choice but to fire Napier and dedicate a bunch of money to actually making a good football program. However, since people are going to show up anyway then F IT!?!?! I mean how does it get more messed up than that???

Interesting travel story. (Eagle 5)

Wife and I took Eagle 5 to DC the week before the election. We actually stayed in virginia, but took a day trip to DC.

Had never been before, but we put on our Trump 2024 hats and loaded up. Arrived around 10 am and parked near Washington monument. FWIW DC came in at over 90 percent Kamala and 6 percent Trump. We were in the belly of the beast to be sure.

It was crowded as we were there the day after they have a very large marathon of some sort. Anyway, walked to Washington Monument, the Capitol, White House visitor center, Lincoln Memorial, and The Smithsonian. Tons of walking.

We were the ONLY people wearing Trump gear. Got lots of looks, and had two of my people threaten us. I just laughed at them and shook my head. There is a miniature statue of Nancys desk with a turd on it and a phone. On the monument there is BS transcription of lies about J6 that portray Trump as a traitor. There is security around it so that no one vandalizes it. More security around it than Lincoln monument. When I asked the guard if that was privately funded or if our tax dollars were paying for it, he shrugged and said I don’t know.

Oh, DC is trash in the surrounding areas: There is alot to cleanup fellas, and our country needs us to continue our efforts and not just think things are fine now. Now the real work begins and we gotta stay vigilante.

Video of monument. No, this isn’t me.

Autopsy of an Election: What We Have Learned and What We Observed

I'll go first with my reflections and thoughts from today.

1) Numbers Tell a Story:
-Biden received 81,283,501 votes in 2020, the most votes EVER in a presidential election. A full 11.5 million more votes than the second highest total ever for a democrat, Obama in 2008 with 69.498,516 million votes. In 2012 Obama received 65,915,795 million votes. In 2016 Hillary received 65,853,514 million votes.
-Net increase on average of over 13 million votes over the prior 3 elections for democrats.
-Trump received 74,223,975 million votes in 2020
-Total votes cast in 2020 155,507,475 million vote, a full 26,669,917 more votes than in 2016, an increase of 17.2%
-Then, magically, in 2024 the current overall vote total for president stands at 139,685,213, a decrease of 15,822,262 (11.3%)
-Kamala received 67,462,374 million votes, a remarkable 13,821, 127 million fewer votes than Biden in 2020. That is an unprecedented 21% decrease in votes for one party in 4 years. That percentage drop is over 12% bigger drop than any such decline for either party in the 250 years of presidential elections.

WHERE DID ALL THOSE VOTES GO? DID 15,822,262 MILLION AMERICANS, AND, IN PARTICULAR, 13,821,127 MILLION DEMOCRATS SUDDENLY DECIDE NOT TO VOTE?
THAT IS A STATISTICAL OUTLYER THAT IS PRACTICALLY IMPOSSIBLE........................UNLESS THERE WAS BALLOT BOX STUFFING OF UNPRECIDENTED LEVELS IN 2020.

What am I saying? I'm saying that this is proof undeniable that there was cheating by the democrat party in 2020.
I was never one to blame 2020 on voter fraud (cheating). I have always accepted there is some cheating in our elections (see Chicago in 1960 for example), but until 2020 I never viewed it as rampant. I struggled with what happened in 2020 because I didn't want to accept that cheating to that degree could really happen in America, and I did not want to be a poor sport. So, I accepted it and didn't make as big a deal about it as some, like @NavigatorII

So, let's be objective about this:
The environment in 2020 was ripe for voter fraud
Covid led to unprecedented changes in the way we voted in a matter of months
There was not adequate time to ensure measures to prevent cheating
States that had never allowed mail in voting on a large scale suddenly allowed mail in voting for their entire state. They mailed ballots out and required no proof that the name on the ballot was the one that actually voted
Donald Trump and the irrational hatred of Donald Trump provided the justification to do the most Unamerican thing imaginable, cheating to steal the presidency on a massive level. To many on the left, Trump was the evil that justified an equally great evil, stealing an election
Opportunity, motive, motus operandi
So, I have gone from being suspicious to be a FIRM BELIVER THAT CERTAIN DEMOCRATS STOLE THE 2020 ELECTIONS FROM DONALD TRUMP AND AMERICAN AND I BELIEVE THE ABOVE MATH IS INDISPUTIBLE PROOF.

2) What changed from 2020 to 2024? Laws. The Republican party had 4 years to institute rules and regulations about mail in voting that required proof that the vote was actually legally filled out by the voter that signed it. And while there will always be a degree of voter fraud in our elections when over 100,000,000 people vote it is sadly inevitable, by enacting laws/rules/regulations the Republican party was able to keep the voter fraud to a much smaller level than "allegedly" was in 2024
What also changed, Trump and the Republicans accepted the reality of the situation and embraced early voting in all of its forms in 2024, something they did not do in 2020 which I think also cost them dearly in 2020.

3) Polling continues to underestimate Republican Votes:
-In 2016 poles underestimated Trump Turnout by over 5%
-In 2020 poles underestimated Trump Turnout by over 4%
-In 2024 polls underestimate Trump Turnout by close to 2%
Are they getting better? Yes
Why do they always underestimate Republican Turnout? Hard to say. On theory is that Republicans are 17% less willing to talk to someone over their phone about how they plan to vote. Another theory is that some pollsters have an agenda and do this on purpose to pick sides and discourage Republicans regarding their candidates and their chances in the elections.
What is the right answer, I will leave that for debate.

4) Running on a platform of demagoguery and hatred that vilifies Americans and American ideals is not an effective campaign strategy.

5) Media Bias is Undeniable
-Per the Washington Examiner, Trump coverage by the Legacy Media was 85% negative
-Per the Washington Examiner, Harris coverage by the Legacy Media was 78% positive
-Despite this overwhelming advantage, Trump still won both the popular vote and a minor Electoral College landslide
Why? I think it is because Americans have come to realize that there are no true "news" sources left in America, only bias television shows designed to both pander to their base for ratings and to PUSH AN AGENDA. American's no longer trust news outlets, and, even worse, news outlets no longer care about gaining the trust of the American people
The fourth estate is dead. This is very worrisome because the nation is far healthier when there is a 4th estate who morally works for the people to keep the government from being dishonest to its voters they represent. Edward Murrow and Walter Conkrite would be disgusted by this development
How did this happen? Is it the 24-hour news cycle, the number of news networks, the need for pandering for ratings, how reporters are educated, the peer pressure in the newsroom, the ideology of those that run the news outlets pushing the narrative?
I'd go with all the above, but what is true is there is no "mainstream media" left in America, only the corrupt skeletons of former giants long extinct in our modern world.
Can we get it back, not sure. It will need to be a generational swing back to their roots. Do they have it in them?

Donald Trump, not the hero we wanted, but the hero we needed.

I'll end my thoughts on this election with my favorite observation about the media today, from MSNBC Morning Joe, when one of the panelists made the astute observation that, "Clearly Donald Trump understands Americans better than the media does."

Football $25M buy out versus NIL boost?!

Instead of paying Billy $25M and starting anew, setting us back as a program a minimum of 4 more years, why not the bull gators put the $25M towards NIL deals?! We put the right people around DJ and things will turn very quickly I feel like. Get a couple studs on D as well and watch out! It’s always been about the Jesse and Joe’s, not the X’s and O’s.💯

As well, outside of Kiffen I didn’t see us getting anyone much more high profile to come. And I don’t think Kiffen was a lock to come either 🤷🏼‍♂️

Scott Striklin’s Resume at UF

The dude can raise some money that’s for sure. But let’s look at some of the other stuff that has happened under his watch:

1. Jim McElwain’s fake death threats

2. Dan Mullen’s hiring and subsequent quitting on the team; Mullen also had recruiting violations which put UF on suspension and got him a show cause

3. Billy Napiers’s hiring and “show of support” after he loses to UGA by two TDs sending his overall record to 15-18 with only one decent win in three years

4. Jalen Roshada’s NIL mess

5. Cameron Newbauer’s hiring as womens bball coach who is later fired under charges of physical and verbal abuse of players and staff

6. Tony Amato’s hiring as women’s soccer coach who was fired after one season for effectually body shaming all his players

7. Todd Golden’s hiring who ALLEGEDLY likes to stalk women and send them inappropriate pics

8. A brilliant idea to decrease the capacity of BHG stadium even though literally nobody wants that to happen

What did I miss?
