Florida isn't even recruiting this kid hard at all so not even sure why we are in his top 3.
Lemons, Aj Davis, and Ben Thompson are ones they've kept tabs on so far.
I also don't think RB is huge priority this recruiting class for UF with a small class.
Florida is an after thought for this guy. I am pretty sure FSU gets him. I wouldn't be surprised if this was not one of FSU's little diddles. "Hey, pretend you have Florida in your top 3 before you commit to us."
I was thinking the same thing, if we take a RB it seems like it would be the guy Mac really wants, can't see us reaching at that position with this being a small class.
UF has 5 quality RB's on the 2016 roster.
The only Sr is the former W-O Herndon.

When 5 Star Recruit Saban takes a team like a SCa to 3 consecutive 11 win seasons, then I might call him one of the best ever football HC's. (SOS is better imo)
Same for 5 Star Cal-Cheat at Kentucky. (BillyD is better imo)
Their (UA-UK) scholarships are definitely 'worth' a lot more than other school's ships.
Their ship's seem to me to be 'GOLD' plated...
Their GoB cover-up specialists are some of the best in college sports.
The SEC refs certainly seem to like them both.

You don't equate the record the same year as the class. Myers 2006 class won the '08 title. Meyer's final class in 2010 propelled Chump to an 11 win season in 2012. You are making an absolutely pointless argument. Most posters have said that there will be a talent gap down the road. You are blind if you don't think Chump's recruits were a HUGE part of our success last year. The NFL tells us differently.

Our areas of need are OL/DT/LB. it sounds like we are in on an elite athlete from Cali who just de-committed from UCLA that I understand Mac wants as a LB.
Of those "committed" I understand Telfort and Gamble are the least "solid" and I believe Saban is after both

He's not a sure thing for UF by any means, and he's not in a 'critical need' position at the moment, but yep, I'd sure like to have another Wilson in the Gator secondary after Quincy moves on to the NFL. DB-U is where he needs to be.
The recruiting class should get even better tonight and I expect it to continue to get better. I think we may have some more good news coming in the next week or two as well
