Who's watching Trump at CPAC?

Oh yes, these people devoted their lives to deceive us and you know this because you watch the news. What is your educational back ground? I don’t claim to be smart, but like being a fan of athletes that are the best of the best, I’m also fans of the smartest and brightest and I don’t pretend to know more than them. Just like I don’t pretend to be a better golfer than Paul Azinger, just because I played Golf at FSU on a full ride. Know your role
What is your educational background? You're pretty naive for an adult.

When I was in the 7th grade - a LONG time ago in the 60's - I remember it got to 88 one Saturday here in Jacksonville. I remember the next year when I was in the 8th grade it got DOWN to 13 - here in Jacksonville!
What a silly example.
Too bad none of us were hanging out here when most of Florida was underwater...before the Ice Age...tell me again, what exactly did Man do to cause that?
I do remember when I lived in Jacksonville and I had season tickets to JU basketball and Dee Brown was the star and it snowed like a bitch and people were wrecking everywhere. I have no idea why I bought season tickets. I could have sat anywhere I wanted. UK mentality cost me money. I just like basketball I guess.

Florida has been underwater no less than 7 times in fact.

When I was a caddy on tour for grant waite, I used to play a little at Isleworth. one day Ken Griffey and his buddy asked grant and i to play 36. After the rounds, we went in for Lunch and Dee Brown came out of nowhere to eat with us. Very cool day for me.

without looking at the almanac, I'll bet the temps form the 60's, would on average be lower than they are today in the same town.

I would say 50 gigatons of annual greenhouse gas is the likely culprit. I only say this, because that is what scientists, who are eons smarter than all of us, tell us what they have found thru their extensive research.

This one time at band camp...

I don't claim to be smart. I lean on experts and experience in life. I graduated from FSU. and you?

There's nothing wrong with leaning on experts. There is something wrong with just accepting what you're told without verifying the information...x100 when the issue is as politicized as climate change.

I don't believe everything that the experts who agree with me say either.

Bottom line, regardless of who is right or wrong, or more right and less wrong, we cannot simply throw out the baby with the bath water.

People, specifically the poorest humans on Earth, will suffer the most if the far left gets their way on climate change.

A few things...

There are people smarter than both of us who disagree on the cause of climate change.

There are people way smarter than both of us who have documented a LONG history of rising and falling greenhouse gasses on this planet and much of that predates human existence.

A few of them are cognizant of their surroundings too, right? We know the Vegetable in Chief isn't, but you lefties decide you'd rather have him than a guy who got the economy up to unprecedented heights.
But hey, Veggie is a nice guy. Never forget ORANGE MAN BAD.

I remember once when I was a kid, one winter day, I thought it was cool watching the snow fall, but melt away when it hit the ground in St. Pete, then got anger when I saw on tv that the kids in Tampa are buildind snowmen.

My background is both is science and accounting. I don't claim to know everything, but I do know bullshit when I smell it. I'm smart enough to know how these "scientists" get their funding. Always, ALWAYS follow the money. Do you have any clue what confirmation bias is?🤣
LOL. Like this bean counter knows anything about climatology. Youre not fooling anyone.. You just repeat the same old Denier nonsense. Nothing even scientific.

I sure don’t know why I like you.. I do... maybe in our day we would be best of friends. Denier? No. We have commonsense like you should. Do you you really think in gods earth we can destroy it? Nah... it’s a cult of people who do use fake science like the hockey stick to promote controlling people. I believe in freedom and liberty. Not a hoax perpetrated by man.. never 👎

What year was that? I remember in 1989, I was living in Mandarin. I left the house late on (I believe) the day before Christmas Eve and head toward Lake City, my home town to spend Christmas with the family. It was cold AF, I got on I-10 and headed west. I saw state troopers blockade I-10 behind me, deteriorating road conditions, 1-10 was an icy mess. I hit black ice around Macclenny and went into a 360 spin. The only thing that kept from sliding into the ditch was a speed limit sign, I came to rest against it. I drove 40 mph the rest of the way. That night and the next day it snowed pretty good, 4 inches of snow remained on the ground for two days. My (at the time) girl friend was supposed to come the next day, but every bridge in Jax was closed for a couple of days.

That's the last time it's gotten that wicked in north Fla, but we've had flurries now and then.

Unlike your fry cooking self, anyone with a brain understands how science majors get paid (unless they go into teaching). Even those who do teach and write for the journals get their funding from sources who pay them to publish what they want to hear. There is no money in hypothesis that man cannot control his environment. No one wants to be a pauper, so they do their science to formulate a predisposed conclusion. It is known as confirmation bias, with intent. Follow the money, always follow the money.......and that's why you'll always be relegated to timing fries. 🤣

I mentioned this sometime back in a thread @nail1988 created about 3 years ago(https://florida.forums.rivals.com/threads/thanksgiving-coldest-on-record-in-the-neast.73623/)
It happened on December 23, 1989. The day after, which was Christmas Eve, I couldn't help but laugh at all the dumbasses who slid their vehicles into a ditch almost everywhere I drove that day because the roads were still slippery.

You have just thrown the millions of scientists under the bus as little more than whores, implying that scientific research is a sham and the results are predetermined. Not just the thousands at NASA, NOAA and the EPA but ALL scientific research. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more naive take in my life.

In fact, the industry I’m most involved with (besides farming) and which has the most to lose, the O&G industry, no longer disputes the science behind anthropogenic climate change. We may disagree with how best to respond to it, but no energy company disputes it.

You clearly don’t have a clue. Which is why I don’t usually partake in these types of discussions. You people are blind to reality.

You like me because you dont Take this stuff too seriously and realize no ones mind is ever changed on these boards. But to address your post

1. Common sense doesn’t replace scientific research
2. No one claims it will destroy the earth, but merely lead to more extreme and costly weather events. Like the Rona, most people will be fine.
3. it’s not fake science. It’s been subject to peer review after peer review, and its models continually reexamined. Probably as much as any scientific theory in history. The actual weather trends support these models. Every counter argument has been shot down.

Many, if not most, don’t like what the science says because it means they have to change some aspects of their life, or indeed have to pay higher taxes. Nobody likes to pay higher taxes. I certainly don’t. That leads people to use such silly arguments that ALL of these scientists are just faking their research. When I see that, I just shake my head and move on.

They are all from the Washington Post. That is not a conservative columnist.
Yes, it is. Theissen is a well known conservative. He is actually a Trump supporter.

You guys never look past the name on the front. I have news for you, the WSJ has a liberal columnist, Fox has liberal guests, CNN has conservative guests. I can’t speak for MSNBC.

I live in the DC area. I look through the Washington Post just about every day (My office receives it). Most all of the articles, no matter the topic, are either anti Trump, Trump is bad or are pushing the lib agenda.

Village idiot!!

Education: Get you some!

An excerpt from a scientific forum. My husband was involved in trying to do a study on the effects of grant agencies on how scientists approach their science. His study involved questioning a bunch of scientists in a survey. Since this was a form of human experimentation he had to run it past the human ethics committee. They turned him down, not because of any bad effect on the scientists who would be asked to participate but rather because the results might be politically controversial and could harm the reputation of the university and thereby upset people, making it unethical.

🤣

The cancel culture and silencing of certain views is another sword of the media and the left wing nut jobs.

Wait, you have a husband?

And one unverified anecdote doesn’t implicate for the entire scientific community. That’s just absurd. Nope, you’re reaching again.

Tell us more about your scientific background. What, you took a geology course or something?

It’s an anecdote. Hardly proof that all scientific research is bogus.

I award you zero points, fake scientific guy.
