When the House first said they wanted him and Loretta Lynch to testify, Comey said he would, but he wanted it to be public because.....wait for it....he said House Republicans are LEAKERS! LMAO!
In reality, he wants his testimony to be public for a couple of reasons:
1 - Members of congress will only have 5 mins each to question him, in private they can take all the time they need
2 - If it's public, he can easily claim confidentiality and not answer any question he doesn't want to
Now he's even filed a lawsuit to prevent him from having to testify privately. House has subpoenaed him and he's fighting that as well.
Reminder: Big John Huber will be on capitol hill on Wednesday to brief Congress on how his investigation into the Clinton Foundation and the FBI's handling of Hillary's emails and spying on Trump is going.
