American media outlets aren't characterizing the Turkish shoot down of a Russian jet, but European ones are:

Observe.

Curious thing about the situation though is the shot down aircraft is a Su-24. That airframe is almost fifty years old. Makes me wonder if Russia was intentionally provoking the Turks.

Look for Russia to send in a "peacekeeping" force to "protect" Turks of Russian descent, who happen to live in areas that Russia covets. That seems to be the Putin playbook.

Russia has been flying over many countries (including the US) airspace in the past year. Turkey has been the only one to call their bluff.

No way Turkey did this without getting a nod from Obama, no way.

Think about it, there are a few well known things to consider when looking at this. Obama doesn't like Putin, or anything he stands for. Turkey has become Islamist under Erdogan, who is both Islamist and neo-Ottoman,

With Russia basically a Christian nation now, and the last major power to resist both the Islamist and gay mafia incursions, of course Obama cannot stand him,. And we all know that Obama is at the least more sympathetic to a Muslim nation than anything else.

But again, with the level of danger involved, with propensity for Putin do whatever he damn well pleases, no way Turkey does this without Obama's nod of approval.
