VA Sends A Message

And you ignored the part where *I* and others here said that BEFORE TRUMP DID. By your logic Trump was influenced by US, not the other way around LOL

You just can't admit that Perdue and Loeffler blew it. In fact, you've never criticized them for anything.

They lost. Repeat: They LOST.

See? LOL Perdue and Loeffler both lose, you give Trump all the blame.

Younkin wins, and he gets all the credit. Did you not see that the other guy got busted trying to plant 'racists' at his opponents rally just DAYS BEFORE the vote?

Think MAYBE that had an impact?

No clue what campaign Younkin run, not my state so I didn't keep up.

But I heard about his opponents mistakes all the time in NATIONAL news.

Then again, if Younkin had lost, I'm sure you would have found a way to blame Trump for that one as well.
VA had early voting since mid September (Way too long, I think early voting should be 2 or 3 weeks). McAwful's "parents shouldn't have any say in what schools teach" happended in a Debate the end of September. McAwful kept doubling down on the comment. McAwful strted pushing the racist crap in October. Had President of Teacher's Union make an appearance at one of his recent rallies.

WONDER how many early voters regret who they voted for???

It was McAwful and Joe Biden who kept trying to make this an election against Trump, but Youngkin wasn't having any of it. He wanted you to vote for him, because of him, not him because he supports Trump. That is the way it should be.
Agreed

Ghost - good points, in order.

I have never said (to my knowledge), that you were a reflexsive Trump disciple. I have said that you have not been critical when Trump was undisciplined. You have noted Vaccines, here and before, and while I think you are wrong (deeply so) on Vaccine efficacy (versus mandates) you did not just do what Trump said.

Purdue and Loeffler both ran very flawed campaigns, no question. I was just saying, in a different context, that Trump, in such a close election hurt the efforts.

On Younkin and McAuliffe, you are right that McA ran a terrible campaign and was, wait for it, undisciplined.

If Younkin had lost, there is no blaming of Trump. Trump only had minimal virtual campaigns, AND, he did not talk about how the election was rigged and people should not vote as he did in Georgia.

In the Virginia race, Trump was targeted, disciplined and as such, Trump deserves credit as well.

Less is more.

So, I am agreeing with you on a number of points. Here is the question to you - could Trump have been better in Georgia or is this just a one way discussion?

What are you talking about bro? Trump was told to stay away by Youngkin. Youngkin refused to campaign with him. He gets zero credit for the win.

You'll never admit that you have weak "takes" in regard to election fraud, so whatever. Being a bad candidate doesn't mean you won't get votes, silly to imply that. There are plenty of people who only vote for the letter next to the name, as you would know because that's you.

Seeing Youngkin win in a state that didn't create new laws was great for democracy because it should shut up Republicans about election security (of course it won't).
Sometimes the avalanche prevents cheaters from winning. I'd get used to it if I were you. Looks like the tide is turning, Americans for the most part of sick of this shit.

Yep, another key moment.

Again, I have no idea what Younkin did that was so amazing, but @grandhavendiddy is clearly in love with his campaign.

But I heard about McAwful's screwups every time the news was on. Maybe Younkin ran the campaign of all-time, or maybe McAwful did more to help his opponent than himself.

So, I am agreeing with you on a number of points. Here is the question to you - could Trump have been better in Georgia or is this just a one way discussion?
Of course Trump could have done better in Georgia. He should have NEVER campaigned a second for either Perdue or Loeffler. His initial instincts were correct, he should have stayed focused on the point that there was no point in having a runoff election run by the same people who had just stolen the GA presidential election.

@grandhavendiddy we had them stealing the GA election ON VIDEO.

If Perdue and Loeffler had come out and echoed Trump's initial claims that we had to clean up the presidential election before we had the runnoffs, they would have won by a margin that would have made Younkin's win look like a joke.

Perdue and Loeffler were both handed a layup, and they each choked. Both of them had a chance to win the election by saying it couldn't go on, and they both folded.

Both of them put their political careers ahead of what was best for their supporters.

And that's why their supporters fired them.

Love ya, man, but HIGHLY doubt it. One can love Trump or hate Trump, but (to a fault) no one tells Trump what to do. Now, did Youngkin fully embrace trump, no. They maintained a distance.

Trump also did not try to insert and make the race about something it was not. Again the lesson for Trump, again and again, is LESS IS MORE.

Credit Trump, at a minimum, for being disciplined here. That has been my long standing critique here.

p.s. you may say, "Trump is not disciplined, he just got deplatformed from social media sites like FB and Twitter that allowed him to put out every thought he had on the hour, every hour."

That is likely very true.

Liberals, in my view, made a significant political mistake by deplatforming Trump. Trump did more for CNN and MSNBC ratings than anyone. He also gave D a "stalking horse" to run against.

I love hearing Florida fans like you talking about Trump's behavior.

He is the Steven Orr Spurrier of presidents. If you were on this board 20 years ago saying Spurrier was embarrassing Florida with his mouth, then I apologize.

But I'm guessing you loved it.

BTW, Republicans don't have to embrace Trump to win, in fact they can completely ignore him.

But if they don't embrace America First policies, like Trump did, then they are done. I think @fatman76 said he donated to Younkin's campaign, so I'm sure Younkin was running on some pretty sound policies.

DeSantis is following the Trump blueprint: Run on America First.

Trump did it his way, DeSantis is doing it his way.

Any Republican that does the same will win. This isn't that hard.

We are just built differently. I don't believe that dems or Republicans cheat. I think they both create laws designed to help them win. Are there some discrepancies? Yes, are there people who try to cheat? Yes, but massive party cheating? I don't think so.

I believe that we need each other. There are great dems out there and great Republicans, just like there are some awful ones in both parties. I don't believe dems have perfect policies and I don't believe Republicans do either. I'm all for bipartisan and I encourage more of it.

We will never see eye to eye on this cheating stuff or libs being the devil. Just like I'll never view Republicans that way. It's just not how I view politics.

They never appeared together. Youngkin didn't need Mr. Trump.

This I completely agree with. Strong borders, strong on China, stop forced technology transfer, move to green energy (you may disagree) but do so in a measured way that keeps us energy independent, applaud the core founding of our country and while we had horrific elements of our past, highlight our unprecedented ability to improve, etc.

Youngkin ran a pretty Trumpian platform from a position of a non politician businessman.

It’s time for bold leadership. Glenn will make sure Virginia has better-paying jobs, the best schools, the safest communities, and a government that works for you. His game plan will create 400,000 jobs and make sure every student graduates career or college ready.

Glenn will cut exploding costs for families and relieve the burdens of inflation and taxes. He will cut regulations to create jobs and make it easier for innovators and entrepreneurs to get small businesses moving again. He will restore our high standards for schools and our students, ban critical race theory, invest in our teachers and schools, and empower parents with real choices.

He will defend - not defund - our law enforcement heroes, end human trafficking, and rescue our failing mental health system. And Glenn will make state government honest, efficient, and modern.

While moving forward on these priorities, Glenn will protect our constitutional rights.

The result will be a Commonwealth where businesses can prosper, students can thrive, communities are safe, and people – not politicians – are in charge.

It’s going to take a new kind of leader, not a failed politician looking for a second chance, to make it happen. When Glenn is Governor, we will get it done together.

Why does the Lincoln Project still even exist? I thought they were just supposed to be about getting rid of Trump. Now they’re running dirty tricks for the former chairman of the DNC and longtime Clinton apparatchik? It’s time to put a fork in it.

Yep, that's an America First platform. Trump ran on the same thing.

Always a winner. Glad some republicans are finally waking up.

Plus, you had Abrhams on TV all the time for 2 weeks prior to the election bragging about how she already had 1.2 millions votes for the Dems.
RNC grandson came home for Christmas from Georgia. After, he returned to DC. He saw little need to return to Georgia with Stacey holding 1.2 million votes from the Democrat mail-in voting scheme.

I recommend Rigged by Mollie Hemingway. Powerful reading. American Marxism by Mark Levin.

Imma let you in on a little secret: Dems dont give a damn about the environment. In fact, no group does more to destroy the environment than the dems do.

Have you ever seen what happens to solar panels when they are discarded in landfills? The chemicals that ooze out? Ecological disaster. What about their attempts at 'forest management'? Has created many massive wildfires. Wind turbines? All they do is slaughter birds and pump chemicals into the oceans.

What is 99% of the dems focus when it comes to the environment? Climate change. They want to stop climate change. Which is, of course, impossible. You might as well campaign to stop the earth from rotating. But a campaign to stop climate change means they are always trying to solve a problem that can never be solved, so people like Al Gore make a killing speaking around the world and claiming the earth will die in 10 years.

I'm honestly amazed that dems of even average intelligence keep falling for it.

Now here's the great irony, if dems REALLY wanted to help the environment, republicans and independents would be all in.

Here's how you can tell the dems don't give a shit about the environment: They all but ignore the one area of the environment where ALL voters would happily support them: Cleaning plastic and debris out of our oceans and waterways.

ALL voters support this. Across the board. Because all of us understand the importance of clean water, and we understand how removing plastic and trash from water HELPS US ALL.

Dems all but ignore this issue. Which proves they don't care.

For several years, Maxine Waters received countless invitations to be interviewed on FOX News. Don't get your hopes up if you think Joy Reid will offer one interview with Winsome Sears. She has yet to serve a Lt Gov but she's already pissin' off every libtard in the MSM, and on this board.

I'll love to see them talk but Reid won't do it.

It's all about control and making money. It has nothing to do with actually helping the environment. Another clue it's not real, you don't require China, the biggest polluter out there, to do anything for 30 years!!! WTF is that??? China and Russia weren't even part of this last conference. And look at the amount of pollution caused by all the private jets and 85+ car caravan that transported all these world leaders around.
