Trump suing the New Yawk Slimes for libel and political bias.
The Slimes has been endorsing Presidents since 1860.
From 1860-1880, 6 elections, they endorsed Republicans in them all and the Republicans all won. They did NOT endorse another Republican for the next 20 years, until 1900 when they endorsed William McKinley. BUT they refused to endorse Theodore Roosevelt in 1904.
They supported Taft in 1908 but switched to democrats for the next 7 elections over 24 years. They shocked everybody by endorsing Wendell Willkie in 1940 after FDR broke with the tradition of 2 terms only and ran for a 3rd. Then they endorsed the dying FDR in 1944.
They did NOT like Harry Truman in 1948 and chose NY Republican Governor Thomas E. Dewey. They liked Ike and endorsed him for the next two elections, 1952 & 1956.
Ike was the LAST Republican they endorsed. 64 years ago.
15 consecutive Ratz although JFK would be considered a Trumpster today.
