"I do not know what is happening with Rob DeSantimonious...."

Trump is destroying Ron.

Here is the interesting play for Trump. For those who call him racist or sexist, well, Trump is just as brutal on Ron as he is "Sleepy Joe", "Pocohontas" or anyone else.

The most interesting part is Brianna Joy Gray even finds him funny and very entertaining.
This is Trump at his best.

p.s. I wonder if Ron and being a foil for Trump actually helps him and the ticket. Punching down on Tim Scott looks really bad. Tim should be the VP. Ron? Not a loveable guy.

Rising, by the way, is no Fox News. Independent media, a mix of progressive (BJG) and libertarian (Robby)

All I've learned is Ron is so flat it's hard to even focus on his message.

And no to Tim Scott. He's nowhere near conservative, or at least reliably conservative, enough for the Trump ticket.

He's a nice guy and a rising young establishment Republican, but not a fit. It would be a decision made for the wrong reason(s) IMO.

I was wondering if he meant Scott as VP for DeSantis? That would make more sense.

If DeSantis sees the first primary, I think Kari Lake will be Trump's VP pick. If DeSantis bows out in the Fall and mends fences with Trump, then I would say Ron still has a puncher's chance of being Trump's VP pick.

Till that happens, it seems Kari is the only person getting traction. That could change and I suspect 1-2 new names will surface.

No Scott for Trump.

Trump should be smarter than picking Kari Lake. Kari does not add and broaden, she reinforces and polarizes.

Trump will do what he does wants…

DeSantis, philosophically speaking, is still easily the best fit for him as a VP...geography notwithstanding.

Geography is a huge problem, however.

I see the VP differently for Trump. I get the idea of broadening appeal, I even get that Lake might not be a great pick. I *love* her fight and her platform, but the reality is she hasn't governed yet.

But.....in my eyes, and I suspect the eyes of most Trump supporters, the VP he picks will be viewed as the person who will carry the America First torch after him. IOW, Trump's VP pick in 2024 is likely the odds-on favorite to be the Republican frontrunner for 2028, on the day Trump picks them.

So in that regard, I think getting a solid America First candidate is more important than broadening the base, especially considering that his base is already massive.

And he still has time, he didn't name Pence as his VP till July of 2016.

Tim Scott doesn't check any of those boxes. That pick might appeal to some RINOs and moderates, but it won't excite a single Trump supporter. That makes him a bad pick. If you are simply determined to pick a black VP (which I think is ridiculous to pick a VP based on skin color), then Byron Donalds is the clear choice. But I don't think he's the best choice today. A year from now, he might be.

I’m not sure Trump would pull Kari away from the fight in AZ. I guess it depends on how that goes.

Trump has more experience this cycle, I wouldn’t be surprised if he doesn’t shock some people with his Veep pick.

But I doubt he strives for a quota, the dems will rip apart a minority who leaves the plantation.

Ask Clarence Thomas.

He’ll hire on qualifications.

I want Lake, but not sleeping on Donalds.

Well with Lake, he's likely got a year before he wants or needs to pick a VP. So there's time for that stuff to settle out. If she's still fighting it a year from now, obviously he can't pick her.

He might pick someone that he believes can help him blow up and rebuild America in 4 years then they both ride off into the sunset and the new guys take over in 2028. Who knows.

I certainly don’t.

What I do know is he’s going to pick someone he thinks is best for the county, and we likely have no idea who that is right now.

Lessons learned from Pence….

Yes I want to see some of his picks and see if he has changed his strategy.

So why would DeSantis entertain being a lackey VP for a man who says he is a horrible governor and Florida is a miserable state? Trump is going to self-destruct, and anyone that gets close to him does so at their own peril.

Trump's days are over, but he is too foolish to realize it. He doesn't even know he lost in 2020 and caused a defeat for the GOP in the U.S. Senate in 2022. The GOP will be much better if he just shuts up and disappears.

I’m old enough to remember when Kamala called Joe a big fat racist in a debate.

Maybe you should sit this one out, bud.

The EXACT same reason as why GB was Reagans choice after calling his economic plan "voodoo economics" America would be SO MUCH better off if it went down this way

Dude has some momentum
I like many of his stances....however as much as some people need an education before allowing for them to vote...it really was not the intent of the founding fathers for this to happen. EVERYONE is supposed to have an equal voice. He lost me when he brought this up. VERY smart guy....
