Trinity Thomas is SEC Specialist Gymnast of the Week
GAINESVILLE, Fla. - A 10.0 and two event wins in the Gators final meet of January earns senior Trinity Thomas her third consecutive Southeastern Conference Specialist Gymnast of the Week honor.
These are the first three SEC Specialist of Week honors of her career as she's been named the SEC Gymnast of the Week 15 times. Florida's Alyssa Baumann claimed the first SEC Specialist of the Week honor.
Other Week 4 recipients are Raena Worley, Kentucky (Gymnast of the Week) and Sunisa Lee, Auburn (Freshman of the Week).
Trinity Thomas - SEC Specialist of the Week:
* Posted nation's first 10.0 on balance beam. Third perfect mark on beam and 11th overall of career.
* Won vault with a near-perfect 9.975 and shared third on bars at 9.925
* Nation's only gymnast with 10.0 marks on multiple events in 2022 (vault, beam, floor)
* Leads Florida with seven event titles in 2022 (three vault, two beam, one bars and floor)
No. 1 on beam (9.975) and floor (10.0) and No. 6 in vault (9.913)
