At least that guy was wearing the correct hoodie for that show, (NASA).
AgreedUntil the Athletic Director leaves, the Gator programs are going to continue to slip and slide, IMO.
Besides the AD's demonstrated incompetence, it seems to me that Socialist-U has yet to understand the principle of; GET WOKE, GO BROKE....Until the Athletic Director leaves, the Gator programs are going to continue to slip and slide, IMO.
"There's no question we'll be able to look back at this thing and say, 'Hey, maybe we should have taken a different approach,' " said head coach Billy Napier. "
It is my sincere hope he has bad dreams about saying this. Why, because 'Scared Money Don't Make Money,' that's why.... 🙄
Like overhauling and adding crucial members to the game day staff *cough cough OC QB COACH SPECIAL TEAMS COACH OL COACH SECONDARY COACH cough cough *"Look, Max, I think he did his part," said Napier. "There's a handful of plays he'd like to have back, and there are things that we can do better."
DT QB Brown was sacked 6 times and had 15 carries for -5 yards, 9 for 16 for 86 passing yards. We only scored 3 points in the second half and 13 total for the offense while playing at home. Tough atmosphere to toss the young man into. I would be curious as to how you judge his performance based on your criteria. We lost because our oline is below average. As several have stated on this board it wouldn't matter really who was playing QB, although it became very clear that Mertz did indeed give us the best chance to win. As to Napier play calling, let's just hope he finds a really good offensive coordinator so he can be the CEO and lead recruiter.Brown and the Gators fell short despite a gritty performance, losing 24-15 on Saturday night at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. The Gators leaned heavily on the run with Brown under center, resulting in 44 rush attempts for 146 yards, 3.3 ypc.
The 16 pass attempts were a season-low for the Gators, who took more of a conservative avenue with their (moronic) offensive play-calling.

It seems to the iG, that the game plan, the designed plays, and the game day play calling were the primary causes for that season ending loss....
"Going out and getting six, seven points instead of three ultimately changes the outcome of the game," said Brown.
"Look, Max, I think he did his part," said Napier. "There's a handful of plays he'd like to have back, and there are things that we can do better."
And they can't have Brown making CBN's choices at QB look as bad as they have been....
That season and that game emphasized why the Gator's need to hire a QB-dt Spread Offense OC/QB's ASAP. ---- As always, JMOHO's.... 😎
Brown Eager to Return to Work Following First Start - Florida Gators
Gators quarterback Max Brown got off to a good start in his starting debut before Florida State turned up the pressure.floridagators.com
Go ahead and review it if you’re so inclined. I did Saturday night all night in my mind. No thanks.Max Brown can't be 100% written off on his only start where it seemed like after we went up 12-0 FSU literally had a defender running without being slowed down to the QB on most passing plays. I could be wrong but would be willing to review the plays if someone thinks another game was worse with that - a defender not hardly being slowed at all by our line and RBs. I still don't understand why Billy didn't roll him out on all those plays when it became clear that was the case. He should have had more run options also.
Having said that my gut feeling is Max Brown doesn't have any "it" factor and will not become a good quality SEC level QB. I know he might start 2024 as the backup but if he wants to play he might be better off going to a group of 5 school.

Dlineman been breaking through our Oline all season. Nothing new there. It's the main reason we throw so many short passes. Longer pass plays take more time to develop. We didn't have that time. Brown seems like a really good kid. I don't want to judge him based off just 1 game, but he is probably better suited for a mid major team.Max Brown can't be 100% written off on his only start where it seemed like after we went up 12-0 FSU literally had a defender running without being slowed down to the QB on most passing plays. No clueDo we know for sure that Napier wants a running qb? He didn’t really feature AR’s running and didn’t seem like he had much called for Brown to run it. Obviously he said Mertz was his top transfer target and Mertz isn’t a runner.
I heard a handicap that Napier wants to run a west coast running game, similar to the 49ers, meaning mobile qb but not necessarily a running qb. In my opinion, he doesn’t even move the qb around as much off play action as the miners do.
His qb didn’t run it much at Louisiana.
Exactly Ocala. Like I mentioned in another post we are 14 points away from being 8-4. Candidly, 4 plays away from 8-4.Just think how different most of our attitudes would be if Smack had made the field goal at the end of the game to beat Arkansas and the defense had stopped Missouri on 4th & 17. 7-5 would have looked a lot better than 5-7.

It's a brutal schedule and the odds are not in his favor, IMO.I think whether Napier makes it past 2024 is pretty simple. If we hit 5 losses prior to FSU he will be gone and an upset of FSU on the road wouldn't be in play to save him. If he loses to either Miami or UCF I don't see any way he avoids hitting 5 losses before the FSU game as that will make it clear things are still messed up.
We knew going into FSU the oline was porous at best. My problem isn't so much that - it's that our play calling didn't change.Every crappy football team everywhere blames the offensive line play, as if that’s some aspect of the team independent from coaching. If you can’t coach up an offensive line, you can’t coach football.

We kept up with the play-action passing, 2x reverses etc. which just take forever to develop. Where was the quick game to help out? That's all - it's frustrating when you know you have certain deficiencies to keep doing the same things that aren't working.
Felt like a Muchamp game. I'm still on the Napier train if he makes massive overhauls but it's gotta be now.
Sort of like the American people in electing our leaders.Insanity = Doing the same loser things over and over while expecting different results....
In fairness to the American people, look at the choices they are given.Sort of like the American people in electing our leaders.
Our Oline pass block win ratio is next to last in the SEC. They have blown chunks all year. Surprised Mertz didn't get hurt sooner. And here's the best part, we have 2 offensive line coaches and they still finished near the bottom. Crazy. I think there is too much damage and too much to repair, then throw in our insane schedule next year I suspect Napier will be gone by the 6th game. We gave him all this money to build a gigantic organization...and so far we have 11 wins to show for it.You want to compare that game to any other game. Its easy to do with the offensive plays only video. When Mertz wasn't rolling out initially on plays he usually went down also on plays like that in the FSU game. I cant remember a game where defenders that came through weren't even hardly slowed down at all on that many plays but I may be wrong. Name a game and I can compare them.
