Optician 51K average. exp 62-83K
Pharmacy tech 53K after 5 yrs exp.
Last 2 you do not get dirty and barrier to entry is moderately difficult.
Dont need immigrants...need pay worthy of the hard work being done.
probably should pay 70K + to do these dirty and physically demanding jobs

If you're trying to be competitive with foreign steel that pay their employees next to nothing, adding 25% to their pay is difficult.
Just a hunch but probably the way to go is automation and efficiency.
As for why we need reasonable immigration, you simply don't have the numbers for the workforce. And ~4% of our population just won't work and wouldn't be worth a damn even if they were forced to.
Trump against all the establishment aligned crooks Club for Growth allowed to attend their gathering. Unlike DeSantis at least crooked Haley didn't come up with excuses not to attend CPAC.
