This Is My Man

Dr. Williams IQ is in the Mensa range. I wonder if he's still a slave to the cigarette.

Dr. Williams and I loath affirmative action, another tool of the left used to divide us.

Dr. Williams and I have forever had trade deficits with our super markets. We're still here.

Now I am all for tariffs on China because they are out adversary ( I think Nixon screwed up with detente and opposed MFN under Clinton) and limited temporary tariffs to force other countries to stop tariffs on our goods but oppose tariffs just for the sake of protecting jobs with an exception. Now to clarify that last part I am not opposed to experimenting with a tariff to offset wage disparity but empirical data must be gathered to determine then net job loss vs gain of the country under such a policy. If it harms the country as a whole then that sector might need to have such a tariff removed and deal with the losses.

I have often looked at buy American sites and compared pricing and the goods are often 2x or more than the big box items. That is just unsustainable for the average American and me to buy based solely on origin. Sometimes items aren't even available. My wife works at big box and makes well above min wage, more than 3x.

As big box raises the pay of its unskilled labor they continue to employ less people. Then there is automation and robotics but that is another story/concern.
