And when asked by Gangel what a second Trump presidency would mean, Pelosi zinged: “I don’t think that we should talk about him while we’re eating.”

Schumer laughed.

“I tell people Nancy instinctively knew how to handle Trump, because for her first, you know, 35, 40 years of life, she raised five children, and she knew how to deal with children. And that’s what helped her deal with Trump, because he ultimately was a child,” Schumer said.

Pelosi punks trump AGAIN... 🤣

So how's Paul Pelosi doing with his gay lover hammer dude?

Consider the source. And no, I'm not just referring to the truth challenged goofball that you're responding to.

The way this committee was set up it has zero credibility. Even the libs lost interest because these geniuses neutered and discredited themselves.

Ginni Thomas Admitted She Had No Evidence Of Fraud After 2020 Election

Fri, December 30, 2022 at 5:18 PM EST·4 min read

Virginia “Ginni” Thomas, the conservative activist married to controversial Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, admitted in a deposition held earlier this year that she did not have any evidence of widespread fraud in the 2020 presidential election, a transcript revealed Friday.

Ginni Thomas spent weeks working behind the scenes around the time of the election to boost then–President Donald Trump. Text messages previously released by the House committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol attack showed how Thomas sowed doubt about the election’s legitimacy in direct conversations with Mark Meadows, Trump’s chief of staff at the time.

The Jan. 6 committee managed to secure testimony from Thomas in September, nearly two years after the last presidential election.

Asked about the strongest evidence she had of the alleged fraud, Thomas responded: “I can’t say that I was familiar at that time with any specific evidence.”

Instead, she said she had been relying on “news reports” and “friends on the ground” who visited polling places and “found things suspicious.”

'Fearless' Special Counsel Jack Smith arrives in Washington to lead Trump probes

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Jack Smith, the U.S. special counsel named to investigate Republican former President Donald Trump, has a reputation for winning tough cases against war criminals, mobsters and crooked police officers.

Behind the scenes, however, Smith's former colleagues say he is just as tenacious in his pursuit to get criminal charges dropped for the innocent as he is to win convictions against the guilty.

When Smith isn't busy competing as a triathlete in Ironman races, they said, he is working as a dogged investigator who is open-minded and not afraid to pursue the truth.

"If the case is prosecutable, he will do it," said Mark Lesko, an attorney at Greenberg Traurig LLP who worked with Smith when both were prosecutors at the U.S. Attorney's Office in New York City's Brooklyn. "He is fearless."

Trump lawyers questioned Nevada’s 2020 vote, records show

WASHINGTON (AP) — Nevada's most populous county has provided the U.S. Justice Department special counsel with correspondence that shows lawyers for then-President Donald Trump raising concerns about the integrity of the 2020 voting process that were later deemed baseless, according to documents obtained by The Associated Press.

Trump's allies also demanded information about workers who were tasked with counting the votes, a request the county registrar sought to delay out of fear for the workers' safety.

The correspondence was provided by Clark County to Jack Smith, the special counsel tasked with investigating efforts by Trump and his allies to overturn the results of the election, in response to a subpoena seeking communications between Trump associates and county officials. Smith has issued similar subpoenas to officials in other battleground states, including Arizona, Michigan and Wisconsin, as prosecutors examine a pressure campaign aimed at keeping Trump in power.

The AP obtained the documents Tuesday through a public records request to Clark County, which includes Las Vegas and which — along with Nevada more generally — became a hotbed for conspiracy theories stemming from false claims of election fraud.

Trump’s Troubles Mount as Special Counsel Gets New 2020 Evidence

  • Election officials in disputed states produce document trove
  • At two-year anniversary, focus passes from Jan. 6 panel to DOJ

The special counsel investigating Donald Trump has new emails, letters and other documents from election officials in battleground states, as the federal probe accelerates into whether the former president should face criminal charges for efforts to overturn the 2020 election.

Two years after the US Capitol attack and with the 2024 election cycle looming, Special Counsel Jack Smith and his team of Justice Department prosecutors are combing through new testimony and evidence. He’s set to make critical decisions about whether to bring charges, possibly in a matter of weeks, according to people familiar with the matter.

Officials in several states confirmed they have complied with an early round of grand jury subpoenas from Smith’s office. One set of material reviewed by Bloomberg from a key battleground in Nevada shows Trump’s 2020 campaign representatives lobbing accusations of fraud and mismanagement at local officials in the days after the election.

Attorneys working under Smith are also poring over dozens of interview transcripts from the congressional panel that just wrapped up its own Jan. 6 probe, said people familiar with the investigation, who asked not to be named to discuss information not yet public. That includes testimony from White House aides who said Trump knew he lost the election and at least one Republican official who linked the former president to efforts to seat alternate slates of electors in some states he lost.

“You can tell that it’s moving quickly,” said Brian Kidd, a former federal prosecutor who served under Smith at the Just

Ex-Trump aide Peter Navarro ordered to turn over hundreds of emails to the National Archives

WASHINGTON — A federal judge on Thursday ordered former Donald Trump aide Peter Navarro to hand the National Archives 200 to 250 emails that he sent during his time in the Trump administration using a private email account instead of his White House email.

In August 2022, the Department of Justice filed a civil lawsuit against Navarro to compel him to hand over the emails after he refused to do so without first being granted immunity. Lawyers for Navarro alleged the Justice Department was using the Presidential Records Act, which requires that official White House records be preserved, as a way to gather evidence against him in his ongoing criminal contempt of Congress case. They argued that forcing Navarro to produce the emails could violate his 5th amendment right against self-incrimination.

How a New DOJ Memo Sets Up Two Potential Trump Indictments

When the Department of Justice took the position this week that former President Donald Trump acted improperly by urging his followers to attack Congress in 2021, prosecutors did more than open the door to a potential flood of civil lawsuits from police officers who were injured on Jan. 6.

What they actually did, according to legal scholars, is lay the groundwork for a potential criminal indictment against Trump for inciting the insurrection.

“If they took the position that the president was absolutely immune, then they wouldn’t be able to bring a criminal prosecution,” said one person familiar with the DOJ’s ongoing investigation who spoke on condition of anonymity.

Legal scholars have come to the same conclusion.

“Had DOJ concluded that incitement unprotected by the First Amendment could nevertheless be within the president’s official functions, that could conceivably have impacted criminal charging decisions related to the same speech,” said Mary B. McCord, a former federal prosecutor now teaching at Georgetown University Law Center.

"I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard,"

He also said...

"If they don't fight, we have to primary the hell out of the ones that don't fight," Trump said. "You primary them. We're going to let you know who they are."

He also said he and the crowd would "walk down to the Capitol" to "cheer on our brave senators and congressmen and women."

This is incitement?

DOJ to appeals court: Donald Trump can be sued over role in Jan. 6 Capitol riot
The three lawsuits were filed about two years ago by House Democrats and Capitol Police against Trump, his allies and extremist groups.

WASHINGTON – The Justice Department said Thursday former President Donald Trump doesn't deserve absolute immunity from three civil lawsuits accusing him of inciting the Capitol attack on Jan. 6, 2021.

"No part of a President’s official responsibilities includes the incitement of imminent private violence," department lawyers said in an appeals court filing. "By definition, such conduct plainly falls outside the President’s constitutional and statutory duties."

A three-judge panel of the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals will decide whether to allow the lawsuits to continue. The panel heard oral arguments about whether to dismiss the cases in December, but asked the Justice Department to weigh in.

And yet the cases continued to move forward...as have all of the cases against donald

Again, can someone remind us of the last case trump "won"?

Trump is clearly the biggest thread that the permanent, elites of SC have ever faced. Therefore, DJT (#45 and probably #47) is the most investigated person in American history.

One HUGE reason I love DJT is that he has ALL the correct enemies!
