I remember when it snowed in Jax the day before Christmas Eve back in 1989. In a 45mph zone, I didn't go over 20 over fear of sliding onto something on the road. Thankfully I made it home without a scratch.

Memories....... I remember that day well. I left Mandarin mid Christmas Eve, stopped off Collins Road for a quickie from one of the harem. 😂 Headed out around midnight headed west on I10 towards Lake City to the parents for Christmas. As I left 295 and entered I10, I saw the FHWP close I 10 behind me.
It was a slip and slide all the way from there. At one point around Macclenny, I hydroplaned on ice and went into a spin. I skidded to a stop and the only thing that kept me out of the median ditch was a road sign. I drove the rest of the way at 40 mph.😂
What was hilarious to me was seeing so many vehicles stuck in ditches almost everywhere I traveled the day after. Most of the snow melted but the roads were still slippery. News outlets and radio stations all over stated to continue driving with caution. I was clearly able to tell who the dumbasses were that day on Christmas eve.Memories....... I remember that day well. Christmas day was funnier. In Lake City, there was 3 inches of snow on the ground. Dad and I went to ABC Liquors to get rum for egg nog. For some reason, they were open? Cars were headed uphill and sliding backwards back down hills. It was a comedy show. 😂
I'm guessing you still frequent ABC liquors, as it was once known as Jax liquors. I miss that name, and they used to stay open till midnight. Not being able to buy booze on Sundays really blew.

Reminds me of the time I took the family to a lake near Palatka. On the way there back in 2002, we stopped at the Fleming Island Walmart on Memorial Day weekend that Sunday. Luckily, my wife's friends hubby's hooked me up with Bud lights and Mich ultra's that day.
