Spike Lee and ESPN present

That wasn't sarcasm...I commend you & your son. I think that is phenomenal that he is supported like that from you
Then I misunderstood, my apologies. Very touchy subject. Look brother, we obviously are on two ends of the spectrum and I’d love to have normal discourse one day. I guess some friends are made from initially calling each other assholes!

No worries...my point was simply kap has that right in our country as does someone else who I may disagree with. I just don't get into name calling...but absolutely, I'd love to talk to other that don't see my point of view. And I truly do think your support of your son is truly cool

Didn’t cry about it…. I don’t even recall anything of the sort. I simply stated a FACT - which is athletes coming from HBCUs aren’t as prepared. Is that crying?

First of all that isn't a FACT...

Second of all you blamed your limitations on the practice squad because you attended a HBCU...
Maybe the HBCU prepared you as much as possible...and that was your ceiling?

And now your crying?

Just shut it down. This is what’s wrong with our country. We can’t have a simple discussion with different opinions without everyone getting at each other’s throats. It was nice when people could disagree on a topic and have a conversation about it without everyone just insulting each other.

I think people need to learn again to have tough discussions & hear other points of view. Now maybe this isnt the correct forum but I enjoy the discourse. Plus I think some of us have come to an understanding

Think about this, when you have to work this hard to try and create a victimhood of oppression, well, Sorry folks but that’s all I’ve got to say about that :)

Think about this, when you have to work this hard to try and create a false story of accountability. Well...

Maybe that was my ceiling and I’m ok with that. I’ve talked with many scouts during my exit from college and they were brutally honest about how they viewed player development at that level. It’s not my opinion when it was openly discussed even by coaches once on an NFL team. It doesn’t mean that there aren’t amazing athletes that are carried by their ability. We are speaking of a FACT which is lack of player development.

But I’ll pause so you can share your knowledge on the matter. You know, since you’re such an insider on the subject.

Sweet, see we can all agree to disagree & move on & still be civil...appreciate that my man
Hey brother, I’ll dish it out when when approached but I’m still a gentleman. Maybe not very refined, but a gentleman nonetheless.

I can’t speak for everyone here, but my argument against him has nothing to do with his cause. It has everything to do with my opinion of whether or not he was doing it to benefit that cause or to benefit himself.

Ehh, it's a message board so it's easy to post things unrefined. I've definitely done it at times. I try not too, I try to talk to people here as if I was talking to them to in person but sometimes it's tough to express how you feel through a keyboard so completely understand

That's understandable

Ok guys, I'll save my discourse for the basketball threads b/c dear goodness y'all need some education in that realm....hahahahahaha...i kid, i kid (kinda). Good discussion...see everyone Saturday, I'll be in the UF/OleMiss thread

My fear is that Mike White does just enough to save his job. He sneaks into the tourney and somehow squeaks into the sweet 16.

Claiming other people rely on a victimhood mentality...is a convenient way of ducking accountability
Claiming victimhood when it doesn’t exist is a convenient way of ducking accountability.
Other than that I can’t think of a thing I have to account for other than bad wife jokes and an over heightened sense of self importance 😉

And that would be some good, fun, shit we can all cheer for & have fun with!!!

It’s hard to start an actual discussion at times without being a dick. I used the word retard in a spiteful manner (not towards you) and it did illicit a response where you attacked my intelligence. It went off the rails momentarily but wiser heads usually prevail. And you can’t discern tone from typing either, which also makes it tricky.

so maybe our letters are equal??🤣🤣🤣🤣

Ok, so you would agree that it’s equally embarrassing that liberals support “all white people are inherently racist” and push DEI instead of merit.
Really? u turn this into a liberals and conservatives argument- another person that can discuss something without making it political. And btw there is no liberal or conservative that i know and am very good friends with that has ever said or pushed “all white people are racist” so another BS argument

Well this got pushed to the dredges...I'm too good for this. I think @gator1776 can respect that comment 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Good god...this is totally ridiculous and inappropriate.
Totally ridiculous and inappropriate? Well difference between you and me is i am black and i’ve had hundreds of conversations with black people who live in florida and they’ve all talked about this as it relates to UF. But let’s listen to you and your “totally ridiculous “ argument as if you have a clue - can you please tell us black people what we should consider important to our community please?

I already said he has every right to do it. He did it for attention, he knew he would piss a bunch of people off that's why he did it, otherwise no attention. He wore cops are pigs socks he deserves what he is getting, its what he wanted. Again, I personally have no issue with kneeling, most that stand are simply virtue signaling anyway,
“he did it for attention” you simply refuse to respect what he was doing it for if you think he did it for “attention”. Like i said - i’m out this board after this thread.

I’d say there is a great chance of that. As two men in a movie named spies like us once said!!!!
Anything with Aykrord has to be truth....trading places was why I got into day trading when I was a kid🤣🤣🤣🤣

Actually it was on a training course I had to take as a work requirement. I will leave the company nameless due to the fact I still consult there, but it’s a real thing. It absolutely does sound stupid to a normal person, regardless of race, but there are those out there that believe it strongly. Hell, look at what Coke got called out for, teaching their employees to be “less white” and “don’t disagree quickly”. I’ll agree that I was jumping to conclusions on the party line aspect - my bad.

Claiming victimhood when it doesn’t exist is a convenient way of ducking accountability.

Claiming there are no victims of our socio economic construct is not only factually incorrect but its dumb

Other than that I can’t think of a thing I have to account for other than bad wife jokes and an over heightened sense of self importance 😉

You could take your statement and attribute it to any white South African during apartheid...
Individually they couldn't think of one thing they personally had to account for either

That didn't mean they weren't willful participants of a racially discriminatory system
Or that their heightened sense of self importance wasn't based on lies

Having an over heightened sense of self of self importance isn't self esteem but growing up in a system that perpetuates it could certainly create a personality like yours

This guy has a heightened self importance built on lies. I would argue he has a low self esteem.

youre completely missing the point, of course he did it for attention, why else would he do it. i dont care about his experiences any more than he cares about mine. he wanted attention he got it. no attention and he would have upped the ante until he got what he wanted.

So by your "logic" since the rest of the world has more inequity...nobody in America should criticize this country?

Somebody called you intelligent...you don't show it in your posts

So by your logic we should never have left good ole mother England right?

I mean what were those colonists complaining about? Taxes?
You should see how 90% of the world was living under British rule...

Your logic is illogical

Tell that to the slaves, the oppressed under Reconstruction, the victims of the legacy of Jim Crow & Segregation...

The only winners were white people who setup a social economic system that favored themselves

Thank you sir - someone who gets it. It’s not an excuse - but it needs to be respected

He did it to bring “attention” to the systematic racism that exists inside our police forces and judicial system - THATS the attention he was trying to bring - and you saying “i don’t care about his experiences” is EXACTLY why this country still has the same racial issues it’s had for hundreds of years. You don’t give AF like so many in this country yet i’m assuming you call urself patriotic right? “I love america but don’t give AF about what some Americans go through “. Thanks buddy. Another reason why I’m out this site
