Assuming there is a season, I’m hearing there is a good chance Florida and Georgia don’t play this year’s matchup in Jacksonville. I heard that from three or four people over the past week.

Since Georgia is considered the home team this year, would this year’s matchup take place in Athens? It’s an interesting situation, though nothing is finalized right now.

If the game isn’t in Jacksonville, this is what I would do.

I would give each of them a home game and then return to Jacksonville in year three. Since Georgia is the designated home team, I would let it be and play in Athens this year and then head to Gainesville in 2021. If Jacksonville is indeed not available, we just have to deal with the reality and plan accordingly. Nothing is going to be perfect when dealing with a situation like this.

Like I said, nothing is finalized but there’s been a lot of chatter regarding this possibility.

What would you guys do if Jacksonville isn’t available?
