Some of you Foley haters are getting your wish.

I don't get the hate about our schedule. It would be dope if we played some more nationally recognizable OOC games, but if you look at the trend across college football we'e doing what everybody else does and more. The trend is one top OOC opponent (FSU), a non-Power 5 opponent, and two cupcakes.

Then if you include our conference schedule we're playing UT, LSU, UGA, who are usually top 10-15 teams. Throw in our rotating West opponent of Bama, Auburn, Ole Miss, etc. and we're playing anywhere between 5-6 ranked teams a year with our OOC as is. Now if we go more national OOC and play some of the better teams we'll have about 7-8 games against top 10-15 teams...that's not remotely realistic. And you damn sure wouldn't be able to complain when we aren't winning any titles because we're putting ourselves at a major disadvantage. Especially when you have other major teams playing 3-4 ranked teams a year.
Even with what other schools are doing, our OOC is shameful. It just is.

Well I agree that there is no reason to be playing a Presbyterian or Texas State. Those games should be replaced with at least midlevel teams like a South Florida, FAU, or even a middling team from a Power 5 like a Maryland, Oklahoma State, Washington State or someone like that. But I definitely don't agree with the people who think we should play Miami, FSU, and then fill the other two slots with Top 25 type teams. That's just not realistic and puts us at a huge disadvantage. If we do that we're looking at a schedule with 8-9 ranked teams.

Doesn't Foley already have this in the works as well as the baseball facility? As soon as the O'Dome is complete.

Those are pretty much done deals and there may be announcement(s) before Foley officially retires. Also, i wouldn't be surprised if a new contract for O'Sullivan isn't announced in the next couple of days

I agree about a new Sully deal. With a changing of the guard looming, it would be a ripe time for Sully to consider something different if he's of the mind. If Sully were to go...it would be very soon as any school would want him to take the reigns early enough for the fall program. That would mean UF would be trying to fill the spot before Foley steps down. Not preferrable...but not a disaster.

Sully's SEC peers are paid more than he is...look for Foley to fix that. Without hearing more, I'm thinking Sully's gonna get a new UF contract really soon.

As far as bringing in talent and competing consistently at a high level, he's the best coach in the SEC, really in the country. He deserves to be paid like it. If we won't pay him, we're not as serious about winning as he is.

I would have no problem with Muir being our next AD. Local ties, lots of success climbing the ladder and leading the overall best athletics program in the nation for a few years certainly makes him a prime choice.

3) OK I can live with an upgrade. Pure brain fart there. I knew they upgraded in basketball. duh.

4) there is no state law that they play. There has never been any state law that they play. That is just fsu propaganda.

Yep that law never actually passed even though the vote was kind of close in the FL Senate. I think some UF people were saying it wouldn't be legal under NCAA rules anyway.

I do think we need to play FSU every year however. Many see them as our biggest rival now even more than Georgia.

The facts speak for themselves. He was pretty darn good at his job.
