@NickdelaTorre will be adding more here soon, but this is what I was told regarding tonight’s scrimmage.

The defense shined and recorded around seven sacks. Gervon Dexter and Jeremiah Moon were in the backfield all night. Moon has 2-3 sacks and is healthy and ready to go. The secondary recorded a bunch of interceptions and pass breakups.

As for the offense, I’m told it wasn’t the best performance from the offensive line, which explains why the defense shined much of the night. Maybe around 150-160 yards passing?

MONDAY AM UPDATE:

Here are some notes from Sunday's scrimmage:

- C Kingsley Eguakun was one of the lone bright spots along the offensive line. He made all the right calls and did a good job of showing his leadership skills. He surpassed the expectations of many, including the staff. Ethan White did a fairly good job as well, but the OL as a whole? They need some work.

- One source told me Zachary Carter is a "man possessed." He is playing with a lot of confidence and expected to have a huge year for the Gators. Active hands and does a good job of disengaging off blocks. Florida has so many options along the defensive line. A lot of versatility and talent.

- Xzavier Henderson has a lengthy (50-plus) touchdown reception. Justin Shorter reeled in a touchdown as well. Another standout receiver was Ja'Markis Weston, who hauled in two TDs on the evening.

- Jason Marshall is going to be special. He dropped a pick-six but is showing the potential of a big-time player during his time with the Gators. If he doesn't start this year, I would definitely expect him to do so a year from now and beyond.

- I was told Lorenzo Lingard looked explosive and fluid, especially as a pass catcher. That is another position with a lot of depth. It will be interesting to see how Greg Knox manages the rotation.

- Mohamoud Diabate played well, as expected. Another leader on the defense.

- Anthony Richardson recorded three touchdown passes and looked fairly good. As for Emory, I was told he would lock onto one target, and if that wasn't there, he was looking to make an impact as a runner. From what I was told, he needs to do a better job of going through his progressions.

FROM NICK:

Kaiir Elam had an interception

Defense is ahead now, front seven especially. Big night for Jeremiah Moon and Gervon Dexter, both with multiple sacks.
(Just my opinion, I think the front seven will be better this year and you’ll see that help the defense as a whole, should be a better unit in 2021)

Jacob Copeland had a TD catch

Tyreak Sapp and Elijah Blades couldn’t participate (acclimation period)
