SCOTUS Circuit Assignments are for handling emergency filings, like stays of execution or granting extensions. It doesn't mean that he will be deciding appellate cases. The right-wing blogs that got all excited about the circuit assignments yesterday probably didn't clarify that for you.

Because a reporter asked him about all these losses and he carefully pointed out that Trump's legal team had only filed 3 cases. Rudy added that the shit sources were adding in lawsuits that weren't filed by Trump's legal team. And Rudy explained that most of those cases SHOULD have been losses because they were filed BEFORE the election, and had no standing.
Trump's legal team had only filed 3 cases as of that PC. No losses. 1 of them they withdrew, because they got the outcome they were looking for.
