Thought I read somewhere that Florida was favored by 8.5 pointsThat three at the buzzer...I wonder...what was the spread?
Florida Basketball just made the Elite Eight…again…Here's the question I have? What happens to Florida if they play a game and get down 10,12,14 in the first half? We seem to swarm in the second half but just hover around in the first half. The teams are gonna get harder but we dont seem to get better in a complete game. Too many turnovers and stupid fouls. It could catch up somewhere down the road.
Great comeback by Texas Tech to take out Arkansas in OT. I actually think this helps Florida because I think Arkansas' size would have given UF trouble. I think we beat TT fairly easily.
Arizona hung with Dkue, but the game was never in doubt, IMO. Duke's defense, size and depth will give Alabama trouble.
Can you believe how Calipari choked that game away. Up 13 with 4 minutes, Up 7 with 1:11, up 3 with 10 seconds and can’t get a stop. Go to OT and lose.Arkansas scares me. They have the size and the talent to complete with Florida. Injuries have hurt them this year, but they are at full strength now. Pulling for Texas Tech to pull it out the 2nd half.
Watching that game was like watching a rerun of Kentucky the last five years of Calipari. He gets a nice lead, puts on the brakes and goes into his grind/stall and is hanging on at the end. This was shades of UK since 2015.Down go the Cheatapari's.

I think the douche de la Torre is trying to jinx us.

How does a team like MD that hasn't lost by more than 6 points all season but loses by 16? Those insane turnovers are curable. As for the free throws, Condon and Chinlyeu have some work to do in the offseason. Here's the question I have? What happens to Florida if they play a game and get down 10,12,14 in the first half? I just feel like if something dont change and I know we are winning that we are gonna see the team that went to Knoxville and got blown out. How many times can we keep flipping a switch the last 10 minutes to dominate someone in the second half? You may not be enjoying this run as much as I am, but that's your choice. We won't see this next season. I guess you enjoy dumping on this team as we haven't seen this kind of run since Donovan left.I just feel like if something dont change and I know we are winning that we are gonna see the team that went to Knoxville and got blown out. In a nutshell, Quit yer bitchin! Lord knows our football program has enough of that. This season has been "Golden" no matter what happens from here on out.You may not be enjoying this run as much as I am, but that's your choice. We won't see this next season. We've seen enough nit picking around here all season. Todd Golden and the team acknowledged your concerns after the game.
OH I'm enjoying the run as much as anyone but this team as good as it is just makes me nervous sometimes in the first half. I was there to watch all those badass Donovan teams just as you were. You may not be enjoying this run as much as I am, but that's your choice. We won't see this next season. Do it Gators.I just pray to God we don't let our Elite 8 demons show up again, we've blown so many double digit leads in this round I have PTSD just thinking about it.. especially the years we lost 3 in a row in this round right on the doorstep to all those Final Fours
If we could just finally put it all together and win in a blow out that would be preferable
The only reason he won it all in 2012 was his one and doners from the year before decided to return for fear of the NBA lockout. When that happened, his 2012 one and dones only made that team more dangerous. Other than that, it was Calipari blaming inexperience on his early exits from the tournament. Can you believe how Calipari choked that game away. This has been the scenario of a Calipari team for years now. He did this at Kentucky and has now brought it to Arkansas. Now I can understand why Calipari's welcome in Lexington was over. Last nights game was a carbon copy of his coaching style at UK. Get a nice lead and go into grind gear. Grinding will get you beat against a good team.

Although UF lost to Kentucky in the SECT in 2012 was the overload of talent vs our 2011 recruits along with freshman Bradley Beal, I believe that was one of Billy Donovan's greatest moments as a coach.
It took UF 4 seasons under Young, Yeguette, Prather and Wilbekin to get to the Final Four. Although we came up short of winning it all, this very class did no worse than the Elite Eight and I can say those were great runs.
As Ernie Johnson mentioned Ole Miss, I heard him say "Ole Miss has never made it to the Elite Eight, and they certainly won't get there tonight," as if he was clowning them.Need this Elite 8 win for Golden to cement his legacy early on. Perception wise making the Final Four is what does it. In basketball it's considered a very big deal. Curious to see if TN can make their first ever Final Four as that has weighed on their coach since he hasn't done it yet there.
I still find it hard to believe Arkansas spent about $10 million to take Calipari off of Kentucky's hands. I seriously doubt he will ever win another championship, especially with the portal as it is. He relies on superstar high school talent, more interested in the NBA than winning in college. The right person in the portal may turn out much better than a raw incoming freshman was has been playing AAU ball. The only reason he won it all in 2012 was his one and doners from the year before decided to return for fear of the NBA lockout. Very proud of them making it to the Sweet 16 this year since they havent been that far since 2001. They have the 2nd best shooting white boy in college basketball that isnt named Cooper Flagg and his name is Sean Pedulla. They were put out by a Tom Izzo team that is always ready to play and in the second half they did. Hotty Toddy Go Rebels!!!!!!!!As Ernie Johnson mentioned Ole Miss, I heard him say "Ole Miss has never made it to the Elite Eight, and they certainly won't get there tonight," as if he was clowning them.

Our Florida Gators team is an example. I doubt Calipari would have recruited a single one of them out of high school but here we are. Elite Eight and most of the high ranked freshman have gone home.
