not true at all...sadgator has never focused on the death rate in support of his position...that was a responsive post outlining the things the President had said when he finally admitted the crisis...sadgator has never used death rate as a support for the fact that this this is a heath crisis, which of course we all know it is...

Deaths from the Black plague? = 75 to 200 Million died.

Deaths from the Spanish Flu? = 500 Million infected, between 17 and 50 Million died.

Deaths from the Red Chinese Kung Flu? = 468,257 deaths WORLDWIDE

The first two were real pandemics, the 3rd it a hoax with a death rate about the same as the seasonal flu. :cool:

And oh BTW, they didn't shut down the world economies for the 1st two... o_O

We are experiencing a pandemic. It is a health crisis. Period end of story. The IHME model figures, which your President lauded, is an indicator at a particular moment. 177K deaths over the infection period is unreasonably high...but that is only a snapshot...it is not the reason this is a health crisis, but it is a piece.

Residents = 120,574 (Non-resident 2,386)
Hospitalizations = 13,987
Deaths = 3,366
Cases to Deaths = 1 in 36.5 (2.74%)

While Florida’s testing has increased over the past week, the percent of those testing positive for COVID-19 overall is 10 percent. Of the 14,191 tests performed on April 17, there were 1,419 positive lab results, or 10 percent.

Many test positive with ZERO symptoms exhibited, they are asymptomatic.
Others that test positive have very little symptoms needing only over the counter medicine.

I've got news for ya. Testing positive is a nice stat, but it means nothing.
100% could test positive and it still means nothing.
It's only how many die that matters. o_O

It's now long past time to get on with life and leave the Red Chinese Kung Flu to run it's natural course and then disappear into history as the mostly hoax pandemic that it is. With less than half a million dead worldwide so far, it's not a real pandemic imoho, it's just another nasty flu, like the seasonal flu often is.... :rolleyes:
