Yes we regressed a bit. Part of the problem is I think we were playing over our heads and now reality has hit.

Yeah the Sisters our West lost AGAIN today but, Blackmon threw for 421 yards which means they’ll score some vs. us and can Mullen have somebody lead us to match their 28 or so points? They also might have the extra incentive of needing to beat us to go to a Bowl game and keep their 41 year winning record streak going. They are 4-5 and will lose to Notre Dame, 4-6 and maybe ? ? ? beat Boston College to be 5-6 against us.
We are going to get ass raped the last 3 games....same as the last 2....BC is good, we are not. They beat us 35 to 3 last yr
Agree Paco. We were among the nation's leaders in turnover ratio while we were winning and that helped mask our flaws. Lost that battle 0-3 to Georgia and it was 0-0 tonight. We peaked vs. LSU and were lucky to beat Vandy. Franks is just too inconsistent, as is the O-line. But the defense has really been exposed the last couple of weeks as well. We only won 4 games last year and will have at least 7 wins this year and could get 9. Our running game got stuffed tonight and Missouri had our flair passes and bubble screens covered up and we never made the adjustments. But again, the defense played very poorly as well. After the low expectations and then the high hopes, it's a bummer coming back down to reality. Improved but not ready to compete for any kind of title.
Thought they played better today honestly. Blackman gives the team a chance. Should have been a bit closer as NC State got some bullshit calls to go their way. Hopefully we have seen the last of Francois.

We can only hope Franks is done. Why do you think Mullen only lets him throw flair passes or bubble screens? He can't hit a battleship from 20 yards out. Other coaches have figured this out, it's like shading a point guard that can dribble with only one hand.
Calling today's Florida State game an improvement says about all that needs to be said about this year's team. Blackman looks like a better choice at QB, but we have no running game to take some heat off of him.

Nc states defense is garbage...blackman got sacked 5 times and threw a pick directly to a d lineman lol He didnt play awful but he did what blackman always does... Loses. He reminds me a dre wetherford, lots of yards but makes dumb play after dumb play

Drew Weatherford yeah that's a good comparison. Got sacked 5 times because he has a D2 quality OL who's best player again got injured (Menshew). Those deep throws to 15 Terry were beautiful and if you can't admit that you are a miserable sob.
Exactly right. He has no touch on the ball, doesn't read defense well, doesn't know how to look a safety off and only every once in a while does he make a big time mid range pass. Most of the time his throws are high, off target or thrown into double or triple coverage.
My preseason projection was: 6-8 wins with Franks, or 8-10 wins with Trask.
Dan's masking helped Franks some, but a pigs ear will never be a silk purse...

You'll get a 'flash' decent play every once in a while, to keep you thinking that he could be a decent QB one day, but it's fool's gold imo.
15 has been catching deep pass after deep pass all yr..... Its not like this is new. He under threw a few of them, over threw one or 2 easy ones. He played ok but hes a loser, always has been, always will be. 3 third downs in a row he threw it short of the sticks....4th down everytime. He cant run the rpo stuff, hes not good at the option, he throws it directly to the defense. Hes not a winner
