That's where it all starts. Did everyone see the list after Tebow left? That is the reason for the last 7 years of mediocrity. Who knows, maybe we have one in the waiting but with what we've had lately, nuff said!

I actually think they missed one.

I can't remember now but they either missed Jordan Reed or Trey Burton.

I don't blame them, because 2010 was a nightmare.

Then why did 2 of them go to other teams and help them have a decent decent season where they made a bowl game. I will tell you why I think that happened is because BC and NC State played to their strengths.

As was posted on another ongoing thread, you have to play to your qb's strength. That being said, Brisset was a toss up with Driskel. Murphy, meh. Making a bowl game goes beyond having an elite qb. A lot of teams make bowl games these days.

Greir...I don't give a damn what his issues where...you work it out. How many nut jobs did Meyer have...you going to kick Percy Havin off the team? Greir might not be Harvin...we'll never know but he was a difference maker.

If we had Greir...the 2nd half of this season is different. Don't think so...look a teams with great QB's....they are the difference.

I dont think there is one loss this season we had Grier would have won the game except maybe Tenn if the coaches didn't go into that run the ball shell but the defense fell apart so badly in the 2nd half it might not have changed the outcome. Arkansas, FSU and Bama were beating us in the trenches easily most of the game.

The QB doesn't even matter anymore, you guys still aren't getting it... The defense is the problem now and will be just as pathetic from now on. The offense scored 19, that's max for this shit team and QB, and the defense and special teams still gave up at least 40. It's the coaching boys, and it's gonna get hilarious next year.

Which is more likely? You've somehow managed to string together a long list of four and five star recruits who have turned out to be busts; or, your coaches have failed to develop and utilize the talent they had. Please keep in mind, EJ Manuel has an NFL pension.

You can say that but that's crap...a QB changes everything...Grier was coming into his own last season...you can't act like we would be running different plays or executing better. So if Tom Brady is playing for the Patriots and Jacoby Brissett is starting...you think that the same offensive game?

No it doesn't always change everything in wins and losses when you are beating the teams already that have lesser talent for the most part and Grier came right back down to earth against Missouri after the Ole Miss game. He isn't someone that just magically changes everything. People act like he is some folk hero for 3 quarters of play when the rest wasn't that good on our offensively limited team. He will throw for a bunch of yards because he is going to WV and that offense but I doubt he puts up numbers a lot different than their current QB.

cheap points, which got them into the game. But with that being said, our guys came here to win, and I think it showed.”

this guy is cooked, bye.

Really? All we need is a QB? Please explain who will coach him and game plan.

Dude if you can't see that he's was a difference maker then you are BLIND. Everyone knows it...it's was a huge loss...how big..????...who knows but he's clearly the best QB we've had since Tebow. Grier had played like 6 games and he was getting a hell of a lot better...yeah the QB makes a huge difference...if he had a guy that could see the field, make throws on time, and be accurate that's a huge deal....NOT really sure why this is a discussion.

I don't disagree..we got our teeth kicked in by a much better team. They got 16 points off of turnovers and special teams....then they ran it down our throat. Even with Greir we probably still get beat bad but people who want to act like that guy wouldn't have made a difference this year...you're smoking crack.

Point is, the staff wouldn't know what to do with a good QB, yet alone if one was good or not.
Ok...that's a different argument...maybe so...if I took you wrong then sorry but better talent would immediately make us better. We wouldn't have won tonight...to many injuries and bad execution. If we had an excellent QB we would be a much better team though...and Grier would be an excellent QB by now IMO. Maybe I'm wrong.

Second part of that is probably true...why was LDR the starting QB this year and last year there was a question between Greir/Treon...I mean maybe Mac was trying to bring Grier along but why do that and then kick the kid to the curb.

Could be wrong but has UF had a QB sign with them and finish their eligibility at UF (not transfer) since John Brantley?

And now going into year three we are still talking about possible transfers?

I am just saying I dont see our record hardly being any different the past 2 seasons. No doubt the offense would look a little better. Mac has managed to beat the teams we are supposed to beat by getting good defensive efforts usually. I dont think we are that talented on offense overall to have had a shot at winning the SEC however even with a better QB. We literally couldn't get our RBs hardly anything against Bama. Like I said before Grier had 3 good quarters in our SEC games and people act like he is some folk hero. If he was improving so much why did he look pedestrian against Missouri in his last start here. We can just drop it because its our opinions but like I said earlier I see Grier having the usual big numbers the WV QBs have but not being someone that totally changes that team.

Mac's 1970s offense is not going to get us to an elite level no matter the QB. And the release by his CSU OC Baldwin is concerning. But definately demonstrates why we haven't seen his CSU offense, it wasn't his

I would feel a lot better if we fired Nuss and got Stidham however.

If Mc doesn't bring in the unanimous #1 recruiting class, and if he doesn't go 14-0 and win the NC in 2017, then UF should shut down it's football program for good, because that will prove it's a totally useless lost cause....

both are now very successful pass catchers in the league, how about that...

I actually think they missed one.

Why did Mac not try to keep Greir? What is the back story on that? Heard Greir say something to the effect that he wanted to stay but wasn't supported. Is that true?

Spoiled entitled brat -- OR -- Unfair coach with an agenda?

Take your pick, cause none here were in the room when they met.
