Proprietary COVID-19 and Vaccine thread

I doubt very many people are going to go by his advice on family gatherings. Fauci’s comments were just silly
I stop listening to Anthony Fauci in April 2020, LOL. What are the more amusing things about the back-and-forth in this Thread Is that I’ve always been one of the more conservative doctors on here pushing for common sense from the beginning regarding many of these things. Just goes to show you that if you want to look thin, stand next to fat people. If you want to look less conservative than you actually are stand next to ultra right wing conspiracy nuts :)

Fauci left my radar a while ago too. I think it was when he was rolling his eyes and laughing during one of Trump's pressers. Regardless of why he was acting like that, he had to know he was undermining the president. Political affiliation not withstanding, that is just unprofessional.

Absolutely. Goes back to another article I read about how the presidency has lost a lot of power to the bureaucracy because had that happen when Truman was president Anthony Fauci would’ve been fired immediately or and welcome to his new posting in Barrow Alaska as the public health director.

Agreed. All he did was serve to politicize COVID even further, which hasn't helped at all.

Study finds no link to serious medical outcomes from mRNA vaccines. 6.2 million sample size. This is good because a) is evidence to support the safety of the vaccines and b) shows there is monitoring of the vaccinated outcomes.
Like all studies, there are limitations and they should be read and properly understood. I subscribe to this journal, so I will be looking for the follow-up analysis which will address some of the limitations.

Science, we don’t need no stinking science.

I will not be seeking Faucis permission to get together for Christmas. It will be a family decision and we will go visit unless weather or illness prevents us.
Fauci lost a lot of people with those comments. A lot. Even NBC was (relatively) scathing in their comments last night on Lester Holt's show as even liberals who have been fully vaccinated are not going to put aside Holiday gatherings.

Also credit NBC for showing that cases have dropped by 30% and even over 50% in Florida.

Good for Lester and that team.

Hey, finally got a chance to watch it. What I find interesting is that the mortality rate of India was 2.4% and the mortality rate in that region was 2.0% but the mortality rate in United States is below 1.8% and we don’t use ivermectin. I’m not saying that proves anything I just find it interesting.
I agree wholeheartedly with the gentleman’s sentiment that we should vaccinate and we should investigate all potential therapies that would be useful against Covid infection. We need good solid research and there is an ongoing ivermectin study in the United States. I’m hoping it will help.
I remember that. But the vaccination rate in India is also only about 25% of the UK and USA. Their death rates should be 3 times more than 1.8% if there is a direct correlation between vaccination and mortality rates. Accordingly, India's death rate should be 5.4% at a minimum, not 2 or 2.4%... And that's throwing out the compounding effect of more exposure. Assuming it's not a genetic immunity, there is more than just some promise in the cocktail. The WHO thinks so, which shocks me.

No that’s not true. The death rates are comparable to original death rates before the vaccine. Back then they had a much higher death rate than we did as well. The difference are higher in India even compared to the US difference before there was a vaccine. There’s a lot of reasons behind that but we don’t need to spend all day going into it. Healthcare in the United States is superior to that in India is the biggest reason..

Now if you want to compare current death rates hours or even better because the vaccine.

Hmmmmm ...

I never watch CNN, but I see their retarded shit on you tube links all the time. Thankfully someone watches the morons and reports back. 😂 Some of the most ridiculous crap I've even seen has been recorded by someone regarding The View.😂 Again, I don't watch that either, and have no idea what network it's even on.

There is not a nightly news show on network TV that's worth watching. Not even close.

Lester Holt and NBC, in general, does a good job and keep things, at most, left of center. There is a reason why Biden has tanked in the polls: it's because the 6:30 PM time slot (NBC, ABC) is holding his water on crises such as Afghanistan, Inflation and the Border. Lester was the one who pushed Kamala to say, "well, we did not go to Europe either" and then elicited her signature "cackle".

Man - you really take a shot at everything that is not perfectly in line with each and every tenet of your world view. Pro tip - find a way to acknowledge and celebrate points of agreement and then call out and respectfully discuss differences.

Lester Holt is garbage. Another DNC mouthpiece. He's NBC's version of Jake Tapper.

Because once every 6 months or so, they both will commit a random act of journalism, ie ask a dem a real question, and then 'independents' like you praise them to the skies as being 'objective' journalists.

They are garbage 99 days in a row, but the 100th day they show up and ask a legitimate question of a dem, and suddenly they are the standard for jourmalism.

And the irony is, you prove my point by qualifying your claims about Lester Holt with 'we all remember that time he asked Kamala a real question!'

LMAO.

Oh my God, this time to thousand. You’re welcome poster to this board. Someone else that wants to have real discussions as opposed to just try and shout everybody down. I’ve also been impressed with Lester. I love what he got Kamela To say about Europe and cackle. We all need to keep an open mind and not live an echo chambers and try and shout each other down. We need to learn and listen from each other, and if we disagree do it politely with logical arguments. Welcome, but beware if you don’t agree with them all the time they will vilify you an attack you on here :)

Pick someone else next time. Lester is further left than left of center.

I believe there’s folly in assuming data collection is even close to the same country to country.

I know we’re fat, but there’s no way it makes any sense that the US has done sooooo poorly with Covid vs the rest of the world. We have one of the most cutting edge health care systems in the world.

Either that system isn’t what it seems to be, or data collection is deeply flawed in my opinion.

The thing about differences in data collection is that it can be controlled for. There will be identifiable variance between data sets, and this differential can be assessed for mathematical meaningfulness, which means checking the difference among data sets to see if it is the natural fluctuation of numbers or if the difference is due to something other than random chance.
There will always be variance in numbers from different samples/populations. The test is whether this difference is beyond the normal fluctuation of numbers that should be expected.

Bingo. The most advanced healthcare in the world and best data collection, and yet we are still the worst in the world?

So much of this falls beneath the weight of honest examination and simple common sense. We are clearly being lied to on so many levels by so many people.

It doesn’t pass the sniff test if you’re thinking for yourself.

And that's just the thing: I had no problem with the vaccines when they were first announced.

THEN I started to learn about them. What was in them. What reactions some people were having.

Then they stopped working.

If the vaccines actually worked, and weren't the most deadly vaccines ever created, shockingly....I'd be more positive about them LOL

This isn't that hard. People with agendas are making this hard than it should be.

On this board, you have the boards fauci equivalent trying to convince folks to get the shot. It would hold some weight if it weren’t the equivalent of kent st coaches trying to chastise the rest if college football for doing it wrong.
