Your version is sanitized and I think that you realize as much. From the standpoint of race, Sanger was not what the left makes her out to be.
Many today, especially on your side of the aisle, are trying to re-write her history and we all understand why. However she was an enthusiastic eugenicists and no one denies that her work focused in black communities. You have to ask yourself why...and you have to allow yourself to be honest when searching for the answer.
Again I am not personally for reversing Roe vs Wade so that's not where I'm coming from. I think abortion is inhuman but I also don't think it's something that government should decide for us. However, when you combine eugenics with her desire to use black ministers to help her build abortion clinics in black neighborhoods, the dots begin to connect themselves.
The left is in a difficult spot re: Sanger. Reproductive rights vs outright racism.
