As long as we win we will be favored. Georgia without Chubb is not the same, USC is not very good, Vanderbilt is Vandy, we have the easy OOC game and then FSU who has played nobody this year. Cook is no Fournette. Watch him and his yards are all to the outside on inside called plays. He'll get his 100 but we'll win.

I say we will win out and play Bama in the SECCG.

BTW, Damn proud of our guys. Fournette is a man and there were some major hits.

And Michigan vs Michigan State.....Wow...

Agreed. Cook is a man in a boys conference and it will show up against better competition. I feel really great about this young team and look forward seeing us get better and better.

We are more than capable of winning our remaining regular season games. Just beat Georgia.

We're far from unbeatable and have a ton of work left to do to get to Atlanta. sadgator will not be shocked at all if we lose to UGA or South Carolina on the road. Vandy and FAU are the only wins you can probably expect. FSU probably is a toss up.

The bi week is coming at a good time for us. But something just tells sadgator that we are going to have to be pulling hard for AU to best UGA at the end. Not the way we would prefer it, but better than most expected before the season.

4-1 minimum. UGA's offense is putrid and unless the defense goes full retard like they did against LSU we should grind that one out. FAU and Vandy are automatic wins and we should bear USCe. FSU is a toss up but we get them at home. If we lose it will be to UGA or FSU, I can't see any of the other teams beating us.

Our defense isnt overrated. It's inconsistent. When they show up they are one of the best defenses in the country. When they don't show up then it's average.

Collins is the issue with the defense, he's way to passive with coverages and fronts and some of our blitzes and how we scheme them are just idiotic. I've been yelling that since game 1. We get great results on raw talent when we can overwhelm opposing offenses. But I've not been impressed with the calls for the most part.

If SOS were still coaching Carolina, I'd be a little more concerned. But he's not.

Sad you are very negative. Fournette is the best player in the nation. LSU got us on a couple trick plays which would not happen again.

Shhhh Shhhh...FSU has played nobody better than a .500 team yet and is very over.......

Rated.

Well, I am here to state that I was one of the original 6% ers (from MJ's midseason poll) that had Florida going 3-1 against the following SEC gauntlet (Ole Miss:W, @Missouri: W. @LSU: L :(, Georgia: W).

p.s., tell MJ that it's bad form to change your 'original' predictions in the middle of the events! ;)

If Florida still had Will Grier at quarterback, I had Florida going 11-1 and be SEC-E (7-1) champs.

But now that Treon Harris is at QB, I think Florida could go 10-2 and still have a good shot at being SEC-E champs. However, I am not sure if the current UF team can beat FSU because of Harris' inconsistency in throwing the football and also UF's inconsistent running game. However, there is still time for Harris to improve and run McElain's offense more efficiently rather than just freelancing on broken plays. Right now, I don't like how Harris keeps rolling out of the pocket too soon because of the perceived pressure up the middle of the offensive line.Treon could either step up in the pocket or drop back a little further and still try to make quicker, deeper throws to the check-down receivers or hot routes. Even on that first TD throw to McGee in the LSU game, TH's throw could have been quicker without having to roll right so much.

5-0. Toughest game remaining our schedule is UGA. FSU is somewhat similar to LSU, but with a less talented running back and a SIGNIFICANTLY less talented QB.

sadgator disagrees. Not negative...just being real. Don't forget, sadgator predicted that Fournette would go off. It was not a surprise. It was a surprise that our DB's played as bad as they did.

But everybody nationally seems to think our D is like the '85 Bears. They're just not. They're good, but nothing really special. And teams with talent, particularly good backs, have had quite a bit of success in spots this season against us. Call it scheme or whatever, it is what it is.

sadgator is not going to be at all surprised if the UGA back Michele has a huge day when we play. Cook will too.

Hopefully they'll be able to regroup during the bye.

I'd like to say 5-0, but there is a nagging voice that keeps telling me that we'll lose one that we shouldn't. (either UGA or FSU)

Whatever happens, I'm f****ing thrilled with this season and this coaching staff. How much fun has it been so far compared to the last few years? (rhetorical)

I think that we win out...if we drop any games then it's only 1 loss. Obviously the biggest game from here on out is UGA...win that and we win the east.

4-1 most likely but winning all 5 is a good possibility. UGA is still a concern because they seem to beat us when they are not expected to. FSU'S Oline is terrible and our D will give the fits. We just played a better team, LSU, who has a better RB, better OL and better D than FSU on the road and took them to the wire. We will be fine at home against FSU.

You know what else probably won't happen again? LSU muffing a punt deep in their own territory and us scoring on a short field; us returning a punt for a TD.

What certainly will happen is Fournette will rush for over a hundred yards. To beat them we have to run the ball better and play better pass D.

Our secondary got torched...I know that their QB had all day to throw the ball but our guys were out of position and most of the time not even able to make a play on the ball...giving up HUGE gains. LSU's run game is probably the best in the country and right now we just don't have the all around depth to handle them. Our defense is really good but they are a notch better...maybe we have the talent but we don't have the right coaching...either way they are a notch above us.

I really commend our offense for what they did...and I thought that Treon played well...but the passing has to open up the run for this team. We need more passing plays to stretch the defense to open up the run game...we stopped running the ball for the most part in the 2nd half and rightfully so...it wasn't effective. The TD off of the turnover and the returned kick from the Special Teams isn't going to happen in most games against a team like LSU...we were fortunate for those plays.

Either way...I have continued to be impressed by this team and the overall coaching that has changed the team this season. It has been a pleasant surprise. All we need to do is beat UGA and this season will be a huge success.

after we played UT I felt like WG turned a corner and I thought that LSU would be our only game where we had a good chance at losing. After the LSU game their is no doubt in my mind we win that game by 14 if WG is playing. Not trying to bash Treon but he isn't the same caliber as WG. With that being said I think we go 4-1 just because he we are playing lesser competition, but it wouldn't surprise me if we get bit by USCe and go 2-3. Treon just cant seem to make a quick read and a wont go through his progressions. There were multiple times in the LSU game were the second and third option was there, heck even the first option, but he just took off. He had 13 rush attempts and I don't remember one of the being a designed QB run

We have our vulnerabilities but this team shows up and competes. I think most of us now see this squad achieving far more than most of us initially thought at the beginning of the season. For me every win from here on out is more icing on an unexpected cake.

Spot on .

FSU will shut down your running game. Can Treon beat us with his arm. I don't think so. LSU's special teams breakdowns kept you in the game. You can't count on that every game.

That is far beyond my wildest preseason dreams. I think we lose at least one, maybe two more putting us at 9-3 which I thought was out of reach considering what we looked like the past couple of years. 9-3 and win our bowl game heading into recruiting will be a successful first year to me. Maybe making sure everyone understands the whole drug testing thing would be good too.

UF is 110th in rushing offense. So more than likely. That's why Georgia has a chance too. Treon throws a nice deep ball which looks like the best weapon UF has right now.
I know you've rubbed your little weenie raw from the pure joy of us losing, but know this, you aren't LSU. Not even close.

I think the teams are pretty similar actually. If we struggle with Syracuse in a couple weeks like LSU did then I guess we'll know.

More transitive property nonsense. You've already struggled with a team worse than Syracus in Wake. Likewise with BC who you scored a whopping 1 offensive TD against, the same BC that's now 3-4. But please keep pointing out everyone else's struggles while ignoring your own.

Hasn't FSU already struggled with some crappy teams? BC, Wake, USF, etc?

You went from "will" to "more than likely" without much of a challenge. At this rate, there's a good chance you will be crying uncle before the thread is over.

You guys are unbeatable now LOL! UF losses 2 more games before they play FSU book it. Keep talking about the ACC and you play in the weak SEC EAST. Its a crap division and has been the last 4 years which explains why Missouri has been winning it.

0-4, 3-3, 3-4, 3-4, 4-2, 2-4...that's the record of FSU's opponents to date. And here we have a Nole fan talking about other teams having easy schedules...k.

FSU will be a closer game with treon at qb but we will still win by 17..Florida d will suffocate fsu. Cook might break a long run but still won't hit 100 yds. And we will pick off Golson twice
