Still early but now you get to do it with the benefit of seeing what these teams have been doing. The next 4 games will probably determine our fate as far as playing in the SECCG and whether a win there would get us in the playoff).

@ KY - W (Should win but crazier stuff has happened. First true road environment game this season.)

Vandy - W

@ LSU - W (I think we win as LSU still can't run the ball. Hard place to get a win however.)

Georgia L (A loss if Jones starts but a possible win if Richardson started for some reason. They have a very good rush defense with that guy at nose tackle allowing them to cover the other outer lanes better. If someone holds us under 200 yards rushing it will probably be them.)

@ SC - W

Samford - W

@ Mizzu - W (See KY game)

FSU - W

I like Richardson a lot but how do you know he is better than Jones and knows the offense well enough. Jones has played well the last 2 games. Unless Jones really starts to play bad again I prefer starting Jones and bringing in Richardson to run the stuff he can run. He can’t the entire offense.
I’m not going to predict a win against UGA but we can most certainly beat them because of how multiple our offense is.

Well I think he is clearly more of a rushing threat even though Jones may be the best starting QB in the country at that. I just think he has shown he wont be able to carry us passing the ball. Most times he hits a nice pass its something that Mullen schemed pretty wide open usually. As far as Richardson's passing we can see he appears to have a nice deep ball and we don't know much else due to the limited time he has played but Doering when the hype was going said the offense looked better with Richardson when he watched the scrimmages. My guess is it would be as good as Jones at the worst but I can't say 100% until I see it.

I think Mullen was glad he could use Richardson's multiple back flipping 95% hamstring status to quiet the noise down these past 2 games.

Agree completely. Jones may not be as flashy and dynamic as Richardson. but he sure was calm, efficient, and effective running the show last night…sadgator is liking and appreciating his demeanor and skills more and more with each performance…

Richardson isn’t going to carry us passing the ball either. If we have to throw the ball 35-40 times per game we are likely in trouble. Teams are going to stack the box and dare us to pass but we still aren’t built to pass it that much.

Emory Jones is a solid player as a starter but he is not the game changing QB AR-15 has proven to be.

How I see it. After watching Richardson do that I am convinced this is Mullen just trying to back up the talk for the last 2 years about putting the work in and you will get your turn etc. You don't keep your starter in a game already decided when you could have the 2nd stringer come in and hand the ball off to run the clock out to avoid the starter possibly getting injured.

Hope this doesn't backfire and cost us an SECCG spot. Also we better hope Richardson is willing to ride the pine and isn't worried about the NFL after next season.

I think a team like Georgia it may take a runner like Richardson at QB to open things up a little. I think Jones will get some yards but right now they might slow our running game down a lot. Maybe I am falling for the Georgia rush defense hype a little too much however but it looks really good when you watch them.

UGA has a very good defense but they have also played some really bad offenses. Some of the worst in the country in fact.

Why are you guys still so down on Jones? Seems he has exceeded expectations. He was pretty good last night.

Its only me and some others. Just feel we have a Heisman type rare talent sitting on the bench now and Jones (who is a major running threat making him a good QB overall) is limited in the passing game and its going to cost us somewhere down the road.

So do you think Richardson is not limited in the passing game? He’s a freak athlete and is a better runner than Jones but the playbook is limited when Richardson right now.
I like Richardson a lot but I don’t think he is ready to be the starter either.

I think he would be a Cam Newton with a few games under his belt. What Jones has been doing in the passing game has been his first reads mostly it appears. Not really complicated stuff for a QB. Mostly just good plays called by Mullen.

I'm with ya on this take BUT I do expect AR15 to play a more significant role in our UGly game plan. We do not appear to have the kind of D to force turnovers and Anthony will be needed to provide the unpredictable either running or passing. By that time he should have more reps under his belt too and more expanded playbook knowledge at his disposal. He WILL be needed against against the puppies but I still do not buy the hype surrounding their victories over the Little Sisters of the Poor types.

UGA has a very good defense but they have also played some really bad offenses. Some of the worst in the country in fact.
Paco,

Have to agree; Clemson without Trevor Lawrence, not much on offense. UAB - Rent-A-Victum; S Car - not much, & Vandy - same sad s*h*i*t.

Arkansas - 4-0; Pittman doing a great job - Hogs averaging 219 yds/game passing; 263 yds/game rushing.

Gators, by comparison averaging 218 yds/game passing & 323 yds/game rushing.

After victories over Rice, Texas, & A&M, Hogs now recognized as champions of the State of Texas.

Next weeks' game between Dawgs & Hogs should tell us a great deal about both teams.

It should also give Mullen some great ideas on how to attack Dawgs defense.

This is the offensive rankings they they have faced. South Carolina (115th), Clemson (121st), Vandy (125th) & UAB (80th).

Fever,

Agree with most of your predictions for Gators; but dropping the head-to-head with Dawgs puts us in deep S*h*t.

IMO, if that happens, Dawgs win SEC East.

Dawgs would need two losses to negate our loss in WLOCP.
EDIT: I forgot about our moral victory over Bama; Dawgs would need to lose 3 games if we lose WLOCP

Looking at their schedule, I don't see that happening.

Arkansas, IMO, good enough; Kentucky - IDK. But both of these games between the hedges so Dawgs unlikely to lose both.

Auburn on the road - but I don't think they are good enough.

As usual, its beat the Dawgs or "wait till next year !"

We better not get upset by a KY etc. either or we have to hope someone like Arkansas or Auburn beats Georgia despite a head to head win.

They brought out Finley yesterday. The Nix days at starter should be numbered. Finley is really talented but became the odd man out in Baton Rouge. I think he's only a Sophomore too.

Think playing Georgia helped get them there?
Well they have played 3 other games as well. They didn’t exactly light it up in their other games. South Carolina, Clemson and Vandy have been terrible offensively in all their games. Do you disagree?

Nope. Clemson is a shocker, but the other two are not all that surprising. But 77 yds against Anyone is gonna drag you way down.

Nobody thought going into the season Clemson would be bad on offense but they are in fact very bad on offense.

Our defense and special teams are going to have to deliver to beat some of these teams...especially UGA who is very good. We are coming along nicely as a team. Hope we stay healthy and guys keep playing together. Offensive line deserves a LOT of credit.

It is REALLY irritating when I'm forced to agree with a Dwag.

Jones has gotten over whatever was causing the hesitation and poor choices of the first two games. He doesn't have the raw athletic ability of Richardson, but he runs this offense very well and is getting better every game. I am fine with this upward trending Jones being the starter. Let Richardson continue to learn the position.

I still have a hard time seeing more than two possible losses
Absent a freakish penalty or turnover orgy

Georgia
@LSU

And it would take a bad effort to lose to LSU
Not ceding a thing to Georgia

I think LSU is a 50/50 game now. Except for not having much of a running game they are starting to play better now. I think they may beat KY this week. We are lucky LSU is a noon game apparently.

You'll finish 8-4 with losses to Bama, Kentucky, UGA & LSU (maybe 9-3 because I can see you beating LSU, but chances would be better if it were played in the Swamp)
