Freshman Talitha Diggs had another great meet at South Carolina today. She ran a 52.34 in the 400m which is the #1 time nationally. This goes with a 4th best time in the 200m. She also ran a leg of the 4x400 relay that ran a 3:35.91 which is the 7th best time in the nation. The relay team is still missing Doneisha Anderson who would significantly improve the relay. Diggs was also among the best 60m sprinters in HS and could score there as well. Rare for a sprinter to run 60, 200 and 400m. A great recruit.

But she was not the only T&F Gator athlete who had a great meet. Joseph Fahnbulleh ran a 20.60 in the 200m which is the 3rd best time nationally (broke facility record as well), Thomas Mardal threw the weight 75-11 which is #1 nationally (by far), transfer P.J. Austin jumped 25-2 in the LJ, the 9th best jump nationally and the 4x400 relay ran 3:06.86, the 4th best time nationally. What is surprising that Chantz Sawyer, the best 400m runner on the team. It is also unknown whether Xzavier Henderson is going to compete. Raymond Ekevwo was surprisingly expected to run in the 60m, but did not race today. Last season he ran a 6.53 which would be #1 nationally. Beyond Ekevwo, Sawyer did not run, Cameron Miller who has a faster time than Fahnbulleh in the 200, and freshman Caleb Foster, who could be top 10 nationally in 60h and LJ. Freshman Ryan Willie was one of the top recruits in the 400 m and did run a 47.01, 20th best time in country.

The other big star for the women was Grace Stark who ran a 8.06 in the 60h, the #1 time nationally. Stark would also be great in the 60m - not clear if she would run in both (remember that Holloway won both 60m and 60h nationally indoors). In the 400m, Manson ran a 53.09, which is the 10th best time nationally. Again, Doneisha Anderson did not race again. In the 800m, Gabrielle Wilkinson ran a 2:05.71 which is the 8 time nationally. In the triple jump Kala Penn jumped her personal best 13.41m (44”) which is the 6th best nationally. Hoopper, who has jumped 44-4, jumped a 12.82. Lester score of 3837 in pentathlon is ranked 16th in the country. Who did not run besides Anderson are Imogen Barrett and Jamie Hiscock, Australians who both could be ranked in the mile.

The great performances today were from Diggs, Stark, Fahnbulleh and Mardal. Both teams will move up in the rankings.
