I'm for making the process easier for the right immigrants. Most are hardworking folks looking to better their lives. But it has to become a legal process where they are identifiable and they have to pay taxes if they're eligible for benefits.

Cuba is the one exception. I know, I grew up in Tampa and had friends whose parents had land taken from them from Castro.

Illegal immigration and broad immigration is why CA is deep blue and is so unlikely to change in our lifetime.

Take asian immigration - especially from China. They are used to top down mandates, lockdowns and not questioning broad takings of power. It's not their fault, it is what they have seen since 1948 on. It is why if you go to SF, Seattle, etc. the only people still wearing masks are of asian descent.

I am not for broad immigration - and I have no interest in making it easier. Rather - we need to make it more INTENTIONAL. For example, as Pelosi (hilariously got dragged for) if we have a significant need for low skilled labor, and that profile is sitting at a legal port of entry - ok, then a decision is made based on our short/medium/long term supply demand needs. Same for engineering talent, etc. We let them in LEGALLY, they will pay taxes and we should also have a long period before they can vote.

When my great grandparents came - there was no safety net in place. They worked their tails off for what they had and a better life. They also recognized that they may not be accepted here.

We need to control WHO enters. I agree with what Trump said MANY times. We need the BEST from the immigrants we let in...not the worst. We need people to make America BETTER...not people that just go get on the Gubment teet.

EVerify and ICE are an overloaded and overrun joke as an attempt to control the OUT OF CONTROL army of criminal illegal aliens.

And the vast majority of illegal aliens, if they work at all, do so OFF THE BOOKS for cash, paying noting in income taxes or SS...

The process should be to round them up, capture, and deport them.
They can still attempt to use U.S. Immigration Law to enter legally.

Deported criminal illegal reentries should receive an automatic 3 years at hard labor with zero chance to ever legally immigrate in the future.

A 2nd reentry goes to 5 years at hard labor, (Texas style prison).
A 3rd reentry gets hanged or shot on sight....

The Sovereign Citizens can forcefully address this national disaster problem, or they can continue to just shit in their hats..... 😏

Well there is that problem of breaking the law to enter the Country. I would round EVERY SINGLE person up here illegally, and ship them out, and forbid them to ever enter here. Now you may say that is not realistic...however realistic or not..it IS the law. Name any other Country where you enter illegally and get a free cell phone, medical to some degree and get to stay in that Country

Is ICE doing NOTHING anymore to audit business employee records? INS used to do them, and levied heavy fines for non compliance. In fact, I know of one roofing contractor who spent prison time for this. I guess DHS has decided to completely ignore the law.
