Ohio State looking pretty good so far. Maybe they are the team that can knock off the leghumpers in the playoff...

I won't hold my breath.
I know what you are saying but I think they might be better set up to do it than Bama. It seems when motivated they can dominate and Bama isn't nearly what they were last season.
Saban doesn't really fire assistants. Still, I suspect DC Pete Golding will soon announce new employment.fine but I've watched Auburn and Florida hold Georgia's offense until the inherent flaws in both teams derailed them.
I don't think that's going to happen to Alabama.
Though interestingly enough, Bama had to beat Arkansas today to lockup the West.
Not that I expect anything bizarre to happen, but it's always possible.
Muschamp will be DC at Georgia when Lanning leavesSaban doesn't really fire assistants. Still, I suspect DC Pete Golding will soon announce new employment.
If that happens I would loooooooove to see Saban get either Pruitt or Muschamp back at DC.
Anyone still think Mel Tucker should be hired???
What I found amazing about Saban is his ability to build a staff from scratch.Saban doesn't really fire assistants. Still, I suspect DC Pete Golding will soon announce new employment.

Saban always tries to hire position coaches who he thinks can eventually be elevated into coordinator roles. That helps extend their time on the staff and the continuity. Doesn't always work, but it helps. He does the same thing with his analyst hires in off-field positions. He goes after guys that he thinks can eventually be promoted to the staff. What I found amazing about Saban is his ability to build a staff from scratch.
When he was headed to LSU from Michigan State, not one assistant followed him to LSU, at least that's what I heard from Pete Prisco on the radio back in early 2007 after he left the Dolphins.
Crap BC just blew it against FSU...
I know I’m biased, but that game wasn’t as close as the score suggests. Even by ACC standards, the officiating was outrageous. If SEC refs were officiating, FSU would have won by three TDs.
Mike Norvell deserves credit for remaining as calm as he did (most of the time) considering that the refs were about to put him back on the hotseat. Jimbo’s head would have exploded if this happened to him. Muschamp would have had to have been held back by the coach wranglers to keep him from storming the field and going Incredible Hulk on the refs.
Jordan Travis is underrated as a QB. He doesn’t have the elite receivers that Winston had, but he is looking impressive.
It’s unfortunate that this happened a week before they play in the Swamp. The ACC refs clearly had them rattled and jumping at shadows. They are going to have to shake that off and remember that SEC refs still allow real football to be played.
What were the refs pulling exactly.
