Yea saw that after I posted. But still hate the call. Pick up 1-2 yards on the ground and then go for it on 4th. UGA's defense was gassed and couldn't stop the run. Stop overthinking it.
This FG issue / Special teams issue is running for years now. It seems after Urban Meyer, the jokers and losers we have hired are just too tunnel visioned in their areas. God I miss Urban or for that matter Zook at times.
it's frustrating...Spurier/Meyer are masterminds...if their offense messsed up and got flags (and they did a LOT) the scheme and players were so good that we could over come anything but the defenses were typically on point. When you're not that great you have to do the easy stuff all the time. Easy field goals and undisciplined flags can't be our MO.
If LDR is going to make poor decisions then his value to the team diminishes significantly. It may be time for Mac to consider utilizing Appleby's athletic ability.
I don't disagree but let's see how it plays out. It might end up better than we think now.
