Dawgs presented and took their traditional whippin'. Their people came to party no matter how bad things got, good turnout almost completely full seats their side, and is customary, they started to exit during the 3rd quarter and then were all gone by the fourth except for a remnant of mamas and daddy's, yes a UGA tradition enjoyed by all on the O&B side. Gettin' a beaten means more party time so there is an advantaged for them.
Predictable play calling, we were calling the plays, run or pass from the stands and way too cute on 3rd and short caused several drive stoppers. Del Rio is still impaired as he cannot run or will not because of it, yes he did have one run for a first down slide 1st half but that was it. On roll outs mostly all to the right he could not throw with accuracy and took sacks or incompletions, again bad wheel. OC is not impressive, period, yes having a lame QB is a factor, yet we would be in a series running well gassing the Ga D and then suddenly go to failed roll outs. Play of the game however, and the best OC call, assuming he called it was the WR sweep by # 81 on the goal line for the last TD, it was very impressive. QB often had well over 4 counts of time in the pocket and sometimes was able to complete a pass. DB's need to be in zone more with a good passer and Eason is that and smart on rollouts, thankfully the DL was able to control the QB most of the time and just shut down their running game.
Dags were playing dirty, cheap shots and pilling on after the play and got away with it, with one incidence almost taking Del Rio out- on the run he had with a slide for the fist down, as he was down and two fat butt mutts pounced on him and should have been called for personal fouls. Other times away from the play they were pushing, hitting and in the face of our players, but for the ,most part out guys did not retaliate in the moment. The dawgs were losers even if they won. Some said these were tactics employed by Kubby Smarts.
The UGA Red Joke Band, bad, bad dudes and dudesses, kept playing constantly well into the play clock countdown, often down to the 11 sec mark when we were lined up and trying to make calls especially in the 4 quarter, which I believe is against the rules and our coaches should have gotten on the refs about that.
No Goodyear Blimp. Ga was the home team so the aerial shots were from a single engine fixed wing.
Great win and totally enjoyable. The D has to stay healthy for us to be competitive down the stretch.
