The difference makers that can score on their own, but better yet, can be Assist playmakers for their teammates.

The Old School....
Larry Legend was one of the all time best at passing the ball, not just with his dead eye shooting.
He was a founding member of the 50-40-90 Club, (FG-3's-FT percentages) doing it for 3 consecutive years.
He also won the 3 Pt shooting contest 3 years in a row.
He was named the NBA MVP in 3 consecutive years, one of only 3 players to ever do so.

And now for the New School....
While not quite as good yet but with the potential of getting there over the course of a career......
A rookie season breaking the WNBA all time season assists record of 316 with 337 assists.
Clark averaged 5+ TO's early in her rookie season due to teammates not being ready to receive the passes.
But they got a lot better as their team jelled around their new PG.
She's no Larry Legend yet, but she set or broke 62 Records including season made 3's (122) in her rookie season.

To play/pass like this, you need teammates that will break down the court and be ready to receive the pass.
You also need coaching that will help and allow this kind of forward thinking players.
This is what true wide awake 'TEAM' playing looks like, old and/or new imo....

Discussions on other B-Ball topics than just Assists/Passing are welcome.
Include past or present Gator players, M or W if you'd like.
But if not interested in the topic, or have nothing to say, then please just move on instead of being a dic about it.....

Pot meet kettle........

Haven't seen too much of GA but it sounds like we better be ready for this kid. He is prone to some turnovers though.
Fever, you'd think that Golden/staff would be fully aware of all of the UGly players and have plans in place to deal with them. Plans are good, but execution on defense by the Gator players will determine the outcome.

We'll see how that works out tomorrow afternoon starting a 3:30 PM on SEC-N.
