NCAA Baseball Tourney

So happy for him. I know this has been a frustrating year. If he starts hitting behind Alonso, look out.

Why are we trying to steal home? I love aggressiveness as a general principal, but we should stop giving away outs for no reason.

Yes it is.

Getting to the FSU pen is the key. They are not very good.
They suck ass. Didn't Jed Clempett pin 20 on them in the ACC tournament?
Gators are going to need to hit better in the CWS. Pitching is great but cant score runs. And for what it is worth, that ump tried his best to throw Puk off his game. I counted at least 7 strikes that were called balls. That's enough to even throw a major league pitcher into a funk. Congrats Gators. Eat shit semenholes.

With all the upsets, the field is wide open in Omaha and the Gators have an excellent chance at winning it all. While every team there is playing extremely well, the pitching depth and experience in the WCWS are big plusses for the good guys. In spite of the hatred for the Noles (I always pull for them to lose in every sport in every game they play), I have tremendous respect for Mike Martin. He's a class guy who has run a clean, highly successful program for 37 years. It's just unbelievable he's never won it all.

UF is just at another level right when compared to FSU and it's not really close. Lord of No Rings (aka Ole Marty) looks tired and beat down and when he was interviewed in the dugout in the 4th or 5th inning when it was 2-0 you could see that he knew FSU was not going to win. The Nole homer announce (Neal I think was his name) kept talking about how young FSU is blah blah blah. Gators started 3 freshman (they started 4 in most of the NCAA tourney games) and 3 sophomores last night and the freshman/soph pitchers like Singer, Kowar, Faedo, Byrne and Horvath (Maybe Moss too) that are returning will give UF another formidable staff next year. Look for the beat downs to continue next year and beyond.

This is the best shot we've had, I think. With all the upsets, we're probably a bigger betting favorite than last year. We'll have our hands full with Coastal Carolina's offense. ESPN put up a graphic last night that said they're No. 1, nationally, in home runs and No. 8 in stolen bases. That's pretty crazy.

With the schedule, it looks like Shore could pitch twice before the final series. If that's the case, I feel pretty good about our chances.

Not a lot of home runs are hit at TD Ameritrade Park so we'll see how that plays out. CCU will be confident and loose so UF needs to jump on them early

That nole team is very young, but we don't lose much either. We will bring back 6 of 8 position players along with JJ. We will miss Shore, Anderson, Puk and Dane, but the freshmen pitchers have a great chance of being even better if that's possible. Another top notch recruiting class is coming in this fall too.
