Yep, the Gators have won 5 Conference Championships lately:

W-Gymnastics - 3x NC's, missed the NC 4-peat.
M-Track & Field
W-Tennis
M-Swimming & Diving
W-Lacrosse - Big East Champ, (SEC only has 2 teams, UF & VU, so both joined the BigE)
========

Both Men's and Women's Tennis just won the SEC Tennis Tourney.

The football team won the SECe-Championship
The Baseball Team is #2 ranked in the nation, #1 SEC
The Softball Team is #1 ranked in the nation. - 2x NC's, looking to 3-Peat.

And the University of Florida continues to be the All Time Leader in Total SEC-C's. :cool:

And if UF had more men's sports (9-M & 12-W) then they might actually win the Director's Cup instead of finishing 2nd to Stanford (32 total sports) for it.

The Directors Cup takes a schools Top 10 teams in each, men's and women's to get their 20 teams point total to determine the Cup's winner.

A men's rowing team could home base on Lake Wauberg to at least get UF to the men's 10th eligible team.

The Gator's come in 2nd with only 19 total teams that are eligible. :(

The umpires doing college baseball have all but soured me on watching any more games. :(
In the future, I'll likely just record the games and then do a speed review of the action plays.
This is because of the constant frustration I experience while watching the calls on balls or strikes.

I can deal with a wide strike zone, or a narrow strike zone, and long as it's the same zone for both teams.
What I've watched in the first 2 games @ SCa has been so bad that I turned off the game. If I'd been the coach, I'd have already been thrown out of their state, much less the games... :mad::mad::mad:

I've had visions of the Gator coach throwing a dirty sweat towel on home plate and calling the Gator team off the field with a protest forfeit of the game over the constantly biased, CHITTY calls at the plate. (they are to one-sided to just be the officials usual hit & miss incompetence imoho) o_O

=========

The Baseball equivalent of; interference or holding calls in football, or fouls vs charges in basketball.
When the game officials take over the outcomes,,, then it's no longer worth watching!

Lacrosse again? Lol :eek::eek:

Yep, yet another top quality Gator team has joined the hunt for the National All Sports Director's Cup.

Unlike Choke-la-homa, where they are mostly 'has-beens or also-rans' out in the dust bowl...:confused:
============

Gator Women's Lacrosse is currently sitting at 16-1, and looking forward to the start of the NCAA's.

Choke-la-homa Men's Lacrosse for 2016 was 6-6 as of Apr 16th, so I can see why you don't think much of the sport... :p

However, UF's #2 Ranked Women's Lacrosse team is 16-1, 7-0 Big East Champions, with their only loss to #1 ranked Maryland, the 2015 NCAA NC. Gator Women's Lacrosse is only in it's 7th year of existence, but they already have 4 consecutive ALC conference titles and B-2-B Big East Championships. o_O

Your supposed Lol is actually pretty pitiful for you, but it's slightly humorous for us winning Gator fans... ;)

Gator Women have won 3 of the last 4 NC's in gymnastics, including a 3-Peat.
When was your chokers last 3-Peat in Women's gymnastics? (crickets)

UF has no Men's gymnastics, so that's a straw man brag.

And lastly, UF is on a Re-Peat as the softball NC's and currently #1 ranked, so spew on...o_O

Gator Golfer Sam Horsfield was named the SEC Freshman of the Year, the league announced Wednesday. Horsfield also received First Team All-SEC and Freshman All-SEC honors.
=============

Coach White has his 2nd X-fer out come just a week after the X-fer in of Gak. "I want it to work out for him," Gators coach Mike White said Wednesday. "We really appreciate what Brandone did here and wish him the best." - (G/SF DeVon Walker rsJr Grad-xfer out)

~ As a National Top 40 prospect, SG Francis-Ramirez had to redshirt coming out of HS due to his academic deficiencies. Then in 2015-16, he averaged 10.8 minutes (with two starts) and struggled mightily to get shots to fall, finishing 20.2% from the floor, including 10-for-59 from the 3-point line (16.9%), in averaging just 2.0 points and 1.0 rebounds per game.
~ He was a great practice player who just couldn't seem to bring it to the floor when game time rolled around.
So good-by to a good guy, and hopefully better luck to him at his next stop (JuCo). (iG)

On SF Devin Robinson not going Pro yet:
What the scouts will be looking for next year is more consistency on the glass, (rebounds), and better ability to get his own shot, (points). The former comes down to desire. The latter, however, will require some work that will be put on hold while he works back from surgery. Right now, he projects as the Gator's heir to the "stretch-4" spot vacated by Dorian Finney-Smith, where he figures to share minutes with senior 6-8 Justin Leon and 6-8 rsFr Keith Stone. UF will also have incoming SF Dontay Bassett 6-8 205 Fr from the 2016 class, plus Fr PG Eric Hester. White also recently added C/PF Gorjok Gak 6-11 205.

SF/PF 'Flex' DF-S rsSr is gone, as is W-O guard L.Edwards rsSr. PF A.Murphy rs-rsSr is still a question for return (depends on the NCAA's additional rs year ruling)?

My Projected 2016-17 Roster:

PG Kasey Hill 6-1 180 Sr ***** - Umatilla, FL - Micky-D AA
PG Chris Chiozza 6-0 175 Jr **** - Memphis, Tn
PG Eric Hester 6-4 180 Fr **** - Oldsmar, FL

SG KeVaughn Allen 6-2 183 So **** - Little Rock, Ark
SG Jhonny Victor 6-4 178 rsSo *** - Orlando, FL
SG Zach Hodskins 6-4 203 Jr ** - Alpharetta, Ga - W-O

SF Devin Robinson 6-9 200 Jr ***** - Chesterfield, Va
SF Justin Leon 6-8 205 Sr **** - Conway, Ark - JuCo AA
SF Dontay Bassett 6-8 205 Fr *** - Oldsmar, FL

PF Alex Murphy 6-8 225 rs-rsSr **** - Wakefield, R.I. (needs NCAA 6th year rs-waiver)
PF/SF Keith Stone 6-8 233 rsFr **** - Deerfield Beach, FL

PF/C Schuyler Rimmer 6-10 245 Sr **** - Orlando, FL
PF/C Kevarrius Hayes 6-9 210 So **** - Live Oak, FL

C John Egbunu 6-11 255 rsJr **** - Bauchi, Nigeria - Fort Walton Beach, FL
(In 2015-16, he set the UF Record for Dunks in a Season with 75)
C/PF Gorjok Gak 6-11 205 Fr **** - Australia - Bradenton, FL

I see another Big Dance in the Gators near future... :cool:

Roundup: Gators edge Hoyas to advance to final
Special to Gainesville SUN GatorSports.com
Published: Thursday, May 5, 2016 at 9:28 p.m.
Last Modified: Thursday, May 5, 2016 at 9:28 p.m.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Freshman middie Sydney Pirreca and junior attacker Sammi Burgess each had a hat trick Thursday in an 11-8 Florida win over Georgetown in the semifinals of the Big East lacrosse tournament. No. 2 Florida advances to the conference tournament championship game for a second time in as many seasons in the league.

Florida (17-1), the top seed in the tourney, will square off Saturday at 2:30 p.m. with the winner of Thursday night's other semifinal between Temple and UConn.

The youngest Pirreca put together a hat trick in the first half alone, helping the Gators to a 4-0 start, thanks to a pair from the freshman speedster, and scores from Burgess and junior Mollie Stevens.

"At the half, we made an effort to just get back to the basics," UF coach Amanda O'Leary said. "I thought we possessed the ball better and valued our possession more, but we still have a long way to go."

Burgess' three goals put her at 99 for her career. Florida is 4-0 all time against Temple and 2-1 against UConn.

WOMEN'S GOLF

Pair pace Gators at Day 1 of regional

BATON ROUGE, La. – The Forida women's golf team opened NCAA Regional Championship play in fourth place at the University Club Golf Club in Baton Rouge, La., on Thursday, totaling +5 (293) and placing two Gators in the top 10.

Individually, the Gators were led by a strong showing from juniors Maria Torres and Kelly Grassel. Torres birdied three out of her last five holes to go 2-under on the back-nine en route to tying for seventh place at -1 (71). Grassel collected two birdies and went bogey-free on the front nine to finish the day tied for 10th with an even-par 72.

Washington utilized the University Club's lowest round since its renovation in 2010 to take the lead at -2 (286). The individual leaders are Leonie Harm (Houston) and Ying Luo (Washington), who each carded a -3 (69).

MEN'S GOLF

Gators receive No. 3 seed in NCAA regional

The Florida men's golf team will continue its quest for a bid in the NCAA Championship when it travels to the Kohler (Wis.) Regional Championship on May 16-18.

The NCAA Kohler Regional, hosted by Marquette at the Blackwolf Run Meadow Valleys Course, features 13 teams and 10 individuals. It's one of six regional championships, with the top five teams from each advancing to the NCAA Championship in Eugene, Ore. The top individual from each regional not on an advancing team will also receive a spot in the finals. Oregon will host the national championship, which will be held May 27-June 1 at the Eugene Country Club.

Because we can.

Why do rivals make fun of Gators that brag about success in all sports? Becasue they can't brag, they have to be envious.

Just more Championships on the way to UF's Nation Leading 34th Consecutive Top Ten finish for the National All Sports Director's Cup.
In late June of 2015, UF recorded it's 7th consecutive Top 4 Cup Finish. :cool:

So tell me, how many consecutive Top 10 finishes do your dust-bowl chokers have for the Director's Cup now, since the swooners are such a big time History & Traditions rich sports program? (crickets) :oops:

It's likely tougher to win the SEC Tournament than it is to get through the NCAA Regional's for the CWS....
That of course depends on how the NCAA sets up the Regional brackets.

17t. LaLaf (0-3 vs UF)

Once again, Florida was deadly efficient in the NCAA tournament's first weekend, winning all three games by shutouts, allowing just three hits and playing errorless in the field. Not like this was any surprise. The Gators have now swept the last 3 NCAA regional's by an aggregate score of 67-0, a run of dominance that has practically become expected around here.

Gator Women's Golf didn't make the NCAA Final Cut. With a 17th place finish, UF did not make the top 15 cut, and team play for the 2015-16 season comes to an end.
03

However, Gator junior Kelly Grassel recorded an even-par 72 on Sunday to lead the UF women's golf team in the 3rd round of the NCAA Golf National Championship and earn a spot in the final round of stroke play. This allowed her to play for the individual tournament title on Monday. Grassel wrapped up the stroke play portion of the tournament with 59 pars, which led the field. Her tie for 20th marked her eighth top-25 finish of the 2015-16 season and is the highest individual finish by a Gator in the NCAA Championship since Andrea Watts finished tied for 15th in 2011.

You always show up over here before you win any national championships.....don't you think you should wait and see if you win something first? We've been stock piling our trophy case over the last 10 years while you have been knocking down men's gymnastics titles trying to keep pace....

And while the Gator's softball season is over, (thank the crappy /blind refs), it doesn't change the likelihood that IF the Gator's had played the the swooners, they would have dust-bowl Choked yet again... :p ----- :cool:
