With what we have left in our QB room after Fromm's departure Newman is definitely an upgrade both in talent (DT) and most importantly experience, which is invaluable. Both his ability to extend plays with his feet and his accuracy throwing the deep ball is an absolute plus. You can't argue that's not a positive. I can't count the number of times Fromm should have kept the ball on zone reads.....but didn't. Didn't y'all want Beck? That home boy is already on campus.

As far as WRs are concerned Pickens is elite. After that D.Robertson will be a Sr and the former 5* needs to step it up (30/333/3td) and I think he will. Blaylock was really coming on before blowing his knee out vs. LSU so who knows how/when he returns which leads us to Matt Landers who finally caught his 1st TD vs. Baylor and Kearis Jackson. Nice group of true freshmen enrolling and a few will see PT....Rosemy/Burton?......because of Blaylock's injury.

Former FSU TE Tre McKitty upgrades the position immediately. Don't you just love the transfer portal? Freshman TE Darnell Washington will have a Senior mentor in McKitty and will be a nightmare in the red zone...@ 6'7. He's a freak but Fitzpatrick and Goede should contribute as well.

Bad wheels? Whites knees are fine. Same surgeon as Chubb. I thought the kid played well one year removed from ACL surgery. I expect Zeus to steadily improve heading forward and I do think he'll be RB#1. Do not underestimate that young man.Throw in Cook, McIntosh, and freshman Milton and we should be good to go...that's 19 stars in the backfield so why wouldn't one be confident?

Yes we lost four starters on the Oline but those replacements in the bowl game looked pretty good sans Mays who allowed two sacks. Baylor's Defense was a decent test for Ga's Oline that was assembled in just two weeks. They didn't look like a liability and they more than held their own. Did I mention Kirby's elite OL Coach hire in Matt Luke? He has plenty of talent to work with and I doubt you'll witness the regression you've hoped for more especially with Coach Luke calling the shots....sorry.
I would not be surprised to see both Ratledge and Jones earn PT but in no universe was Joshua Braun ever going to help...lol! Lindberg and Van Pran might even help but Bruan was a RS candidate. Then he got culled.

We lose 4/5 on defense....meh. It will be elite and everyone knows it including you. Kirby rotated Dlines all season and with his recent DL haul there will be no shortage of bodies.

Carmada returns to punt and there's a couple of able-bodied Placekickers waiting in the wings.
Wow!! How do you ever lose a game? You should be in the Super Bowl.
All this is so fun to watch as you don’t meet expectations again and then it starts all over again the following offseason

Clearly you weren’t listening to the right people this past summer. All knowledgeable bulldog fans were saying how they were hoping Fromm would leave early so they could bring in a mobile backup QB from low tier ACC or Group5 program in order to elevate their offense. Fromm was holding Coley back. 2021 is the year of the Dog. They gon eat.

What expectations? According to this board, Georgia is an all-time loser program, so why should anyone expect anything?

Huh? Do you even read what 95% of your own fan base comes over to this board and says. Have you not read a thing that this super dawg guy is saying on this thread alone or all the UGA homers that have run over here. Seriously don’t play dumb or try and mock me or anybody else because of your own fan base and their homerism. I’ll run you out of here pretty quick if you think that is going to work.

Expectations presented by Hound Dog #'s, Super, Jax Beach, Blayze, and a host of others who write 5 paragraphs of all the 6*'s that are replacing the 5*'s and each graduate, early NFL departed, and transfer that are being replaced. How they are suppose to do what LSU did this year by taking the torch from Bama.

Yeah it’s a joke! I’m about to run Gwinnett for even trying the woe is me comments as if he is oblivious to what his own fan base is doing over here.

I love the bit where he ways there is an upgrade in experience in the QB room with the loss of the three year starter.

I mean, how do you argue with someone that retarded (sorry, differently abled)? I say just agree with whatever he says, eventually the nurses will take him out for rec time.

One can only hope...

How did you arrive at that conclusion? Just my honest assessment of what returns in Athens. Still tons of uncertainty......no predictions made but enough evidence to silence LizardGrad89's rant.

Paul Finebaum believes there is a bit of a cultural problem at UGA right now.

Kirby is in over his head as a head coach, any rational fan can see it. By the end of his time at Bama he wasn't even really running the defense anymore, still a good recruiter, tho.

Do you not read anything your dawg buddies post?? Good lord dude. It's almost as if you have them on ignore, which by the way would be a good idea.

He mad cause yall mocking his homer fanbase. Maybe he should be mad at the homers for putting 4th and Kirby up as anything more than a decent head coach.

LMAO!

Some are talking like he is the next Russell Wilson.

Of course! When Kirbs was hired, dawgs immediately told us he was the next Nick Saban, then when it became obvious he was instead the next Ed Orgeron (no wait...no longer a valid comparison), then they shifted to over-hyping the players and recruits. The next top RB recruit they sign will be the next Herschel Walker, the next top WR they sign will be the next.....well they've never actually had a good WR, the next Lindsay Scott, maybe?

The coach is a proven dud, now they are hyping the players as being what will save the season. Apparently 2020 will be saved by a guy that couldn't cut it at a 3rd rate ACC program.

More Lyin Bobbie. No one has ever claimed a next Herschel cause there will never be another like him. And here's a flash for ya - Derek Henry isn't better than Herschel or Bo. And I guess you never heard of AJ Green. The guy that's better than Amari Cooper who I guess is the best Bammer has ever had.

Ozzie Newsome(TE) and Julio Jones, if you're thinking at the NFL level.

You won't believe the number of dawg posters that claimed for years that green was a much better NFL WR than Julio.

Havent heard that chirping in a few years. Is green still playing, or has he moved onto being a used car salesman?

Oh, sorry, I have a life.

You guys are gonna suck on offense next year and that is going to expose your defense as highly overrated.

Better?

Have you seen that old beaten up effer on You Tube? Winston Churchhill, in his crypt looks younger. :) LMAO

I ran all night and day-ay-ay. Couldn't get away.

I’ll give you Julio. I love him as a Falcons fan. I’m ashamed I forgot him. So he’s better than AJ but not gonna agree with Ozzie. He was a TE anyway.

I'll say both AJ and Julio are good NFL WR's.

Derek Henry still has a career ahead of him so to say he is not on the Herschel level is too premature. Herschel only had two 1,000 rushing seasons during his NFL career. He did kick arse in the USFL. Henry has already put together two 1,000 rushing yard seasons in his young 4 year career.

Eh, reach and you know it. Coming into the season you told us UGA had the best offensive line in the country, the best running backs in the country, and a veteran QB. By contrast UF replaced 4 offensive lineman from the year before, by the third game was playing a QB that hadn’t started since middle school, and couldn’t run the ball against anybody and we still ended up with a better offense than you did. Saying after the fact “well your offense wasn’t ranked much higher” is a cop out. It shouldn’t have been ranked higher at all because your team even on offense was far more talented. That points to lack of coaching.

UF was 20th in yards per play, UGA was 48th. Points per game UF was 34th, UGA was 61st. Pass offense UF was 15th, UGA was 76th. UF’s offense wasn’t just ranked a little higher, it was much better despite having one of the worst offensive lines in the country. If anybody had told you that would have happened before the season you’d have laughed. Eventually y’all will wake up and realize your coaches are short changing you.
Fair points, but I also expected our Wr’s to perform better. The injuries didn’t help, but when we had our full compliment of receivers we weren’t pedestrian. I just keep hearing how great of an offensive coach Mullen is, but I’m not seeing it on the field. Kirby is an excellent defensive coach, and we’re seeing it on the field.

You've seen it. You just refuse to admit it.

Oh, and I WAS impressed with that performance against LSU. Shart really is a most excellent defensive coach.
