LMFAO

I can only speak for myself when I say before the season started I figured this was a 2 loss team.

4 new starters on the O-line, new qb, losing Greene and O'leary, losing Williams hurt depth at running back hurts even more with Pender not being able to go.

Making the playoffs this year was just wishful thinking by any Seminole fan. So again, I can only speak for myself when saying being out of the playoffs is no surprise.

My crystal ball says that UF has a better chance of beating FSU in 2015 than they do in 2016 or 2017. Do you disagree with that?
No no. You said "katy bar the door" on UF's chances next year. Are you now walking that back?

I posted on here preseason that we were a 2-loss team minimum with specific losses to GT and Clemson.

Never thought this was a play off year.

What 24 hours does to a tune...

No more LSU is overrated, SEC is overrated, golson is comfortable now...watch out college football, fsu's greater likelihood of making the playoff. Literally no mention of fsu not being a top 10 team. No mention of fsu being vastly overrated at #9. No mention of this is a "2-loss team."

Fast forward 24 hours...

Tune. changed.

Come in here NoleFanRetard and tell us more about how LSU is overrated for struggling with Syracuse and how that proves the entire SEC is overrated. Meanwhile FSU struggles with shitty BC and Wake teams and they aren't overrated, great logic. And you just lost to a 2-5 team. LOL.

I do not know if LSU is over-rated or not (I don't think that they are), but the SEC isn't as unstoppable as many predicted. TAM went down, Bama continues to struggle, once ranked Mizzou drops another one to Vandy. The SECCG may be LSU vs UF.

Then we have #3 Utah losing to USC and upstarts like Memphis, Houston, and Toledo continuing to win.

Who do you think the "best" team is right now, oozie? LSU? Baylor? OSU?

Thank goodness for the playoffs!

I backed myself up by resurrecting my thread with the 2-loss prediction. Not sure how FSU's loss makes the SEC any less overrated. Right now the conference is LSU (I would have added UF, but their wins over Ole Miss and Missouri are looking less impressive.)

Good thing is UF and FSU can settle it on the field. Sadly, I don't have the preseason confidence I once had.

You know as well as I do that losing to FSU at this point would make the season a failure for UF. Even if you guys made it to ATL, that loss would kill your season and suck the life out of Mac's hot start. UF fans are cocky about beating the Noles this year. Honestly, they should be confident as I think there's a 70% chance UF wins that game. The point is that UF is 1-4 against average ole Jimbo. I think it's a stretch to assume that UF comes into Doak and beats FSU in 2016. Possible, but not likely. If you guys don't get FSU this year, you're staring a 1-6 record vs. FSU's current head coach square in the eye. Same with Clemson.

There is a lot of pressure on Florida and Clemson to beat FSU this year. Losing to FSU would completely wreck their seasons. No need for either of their fan bases to pretend otherwise.

it is McElwains first year. He doesn't have much pressure on him this year. He's likely already exceeded expectations of what many national journalist/analyst thought the UF season would be like. You just want to make stuff up to try and deflect off how crappy your team has played all year long.

Let him be sitting at 10-1 and lose to a 9-2 rival in the Swamp and see how well your theory holds up. You know good and well that the pressure is on UF to get the Noles this year (especially now). Same deal with Clemson.

would some people be disappointed. Sure. But first year head coaches typically have very little pressure on them. If UF is 10-1 then McElwain is the coach of the Year in the SEC and would certainly be up for National Coach of the Year.
Based on the small sample size we have so far from McElwain it looks like UF is headed in the right direction and will start to be a very good program again.

You're going to be breaking in a new QB next yr...and if its McGuire...cant feel too good. He couldnt beat out Golson. And we 're likely bringing Grier. That alone should give enough pause before touting fsu

I REALLY hate to agree...but I do. Heck, he's already exceeded my expectations and predictions. Odds are he will have UF at 10-1 come Thanksgiving. FSU will be 9-2. The ONLY good thing (for FSU) is that game WILL be our season since any hope of an ACCCG will have long since past us.

I guess maybe I have a different view of what average means. If going 33-2 with an NC is just average. Good luck corch Mac.

Playing in the worst Power 5 conference is average. You play in a basketball league. Football sucks in the ACC.

The game of the year for us is Clem. The Uf game is nothing but bragging rights.

Fsu will go into Death Valley probably 9-11 point dog & nobody will be given us a chance.

Finally the shoe will be on the other foot & they will feel all the pressure.

Fishers first two years we had average talent. Us noles were over the moon we won 10 games and beat UF in his first year. 2011 was a disappointment but largely due to injuries, still won 9 games and a bowl against ND.

The whole "Fisher loses to bad teams all the time" meme was born because of one loss to NC State in 2012.

It's literally as dumb as the whole Clemsoning bs.

The numbers of players on NFL rosters from those teams prove that you had more than average talent. Also, Jimbo has lost multiple times as a double digit favorite. And prior to 2013 had a losing record against ranked teams. I know y'all like to rewrite history but nobody is buying the bullshit you're selling.

And riddle me this, FSU had more NFL talent than any team in the country last year, yet you trailed in 9 of 12 regular season games, a few of those games you trailed by double digits before Jameis saved his ass. That's a sign of a great game day coach right? More talent than anyone in the country but he's trailing bad to mediocre teams week after week. Please.

Best bye week EVER!

Muschamp's D can't hold Arky.
UT gets their collective heart broken... yet again.
UM gets historically tromped.
FSU is finally revealed as the imposter it is.

The only drawback was the beer coming out my nose at about 10:15 PM.

For your guys sake, it has to. It's not happening in 2016. Clemson and UF have to take advantage this year.

LMAO. Your QB situation is such a train wreck you had to bring in an outsider to keep from tanking. Which QB is going to lead this amazing 2016 FSU team, Sean McGuire??? He really strikes fear into the heart of opponents. Or it must be those amazing recruiting classes you've had. All those highly ranked players and yet you have one player on offense worth a damn in Cook. Your oline is still a turnstile and your defense is terrible despite 4 and 5-stars all over the place. Where is this confidence in your 2016 team coming from?

So I'm guessing you would consider losing to FSU in 2015 or 2016 an utter failure, right?

1. Baylor
2. Ohio St.
3. TCU

Everyone else. Will have to see how serious that injury to Baylor's QB is though.

He's a very average coach that plays against teams much worse than the talent he's fielding. He's an average coach, that is what everyone is saying. He should have his team doing more on a yearly basis than he has over his collective career there..

You do know that only a handful of coaches have a winning record against top 25 teams, right. And Fisher is one of them. But please, go on.

If UF loses to this FSU team in the Swamp, yes it is an absolutely failure. Still has nothing to do with your statement though. Please explain where all this confidence in FSU's 2016 and 2017 team is coming from. To the point where you've written off UF or Clemson even competing with those FSU teams. I'd love to hear some tangible reasons as to why that is. Damn sure can't be because of anything you're watching this year.

On the bright side for fsu, one of Jimbo's protégés is play well for the Jaguars today. EJ Manuel had turnovers on three consecutive possessions:a fumble returns for a TD by the Jags; a pick six on the very next play from scrimmage; and three plays later another pick setting up a Jags TD.

Goodness gracious. You do realize that if FSU upsets Clemson/Florida that those teams would be 1-5 against "Dumbo" with a trip to Doak looming. That is ownership status. I don't even think that FSU will beat Clemson or Florida (although I could see FSU getting one of those as Fisher usually gets them up for big games). All I'm saying is that if CU or UF were to lose to FSU and Fisher this year that the series (at least with regards to the Fisher era) would have officially gotten away from them. CU and UF need to beat FSU this year.

p.s. People do realize that FSU beat Clemson with Maguire last year in Doak, right?

Uh that isn't what you were saying. Your previous post said exactly "for you guys sake, it has to, it's not happening in 2016" in reference to Numbers saying UF would beat FSU this year. You're very certain UF won't beat FSU in 2016 and you've said the same about Clemson. You know what you posts stays on the board unless it's deleted right? So clearly you believe UF has no chance of beating FSU next year, please explain why. Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't say "no chance". Every team has a chance every week. It's just not a good chance. Just like it's not a good chance that FSU will beat Clemson or Florida this year. Right now I'd give FSU a ~20% chance of winning at Clemson and a ~30% chance of winning at UF. I'd reverse those %'s for the 2016 games in Doak (knowing what we know now).

Funny...when Grier got suspended Noles everywhere on this board....we lose to LSU, Noles on this board telling us how they know everything in the world about the Gator program, players, etc...where are all those Noles now? Tis tis...

In fairness, Igloo, hardliner and SKNole were all brave enough to come by after the loss.
