Leghumpers - Gators...

This has been such a crappy year, I wouldn't be surprised to have an UGAly NC cap it off.

That is the only thing I really love about thIs season still. That Georgia can find a way to lose in the playoff. There is even one scenario they are likely to get left out but the chances of it happening are pretty remote.

1 loss Big 10 Champ - Might need to be OSU though so Oregon isn't screwed.
1 loss Oregon
Undefeated Oklahoma
Georgia loses to Bama

There is not a chance on planet Earth that the playoff committee will take a one loss Oregon over a one loss Bama…

That being said, UGA would be wise to focus their attention on Knoxville this weekend…that team is quietly playing better and better every week and Heupel has that offense seriously revved up…

Not a one loss Bama, no, as they would be SEC champs. But a one-loss Georgia who isn't SEC champs? There would be an argument, but if the UGa-Bama game was close, UGa would get the nod. It's one thing to say a one loss SEC team over an undefeated P5 champ, but a one-loss P5 champ? Possible.

Don't see how Georgia could go over Oregon in a scenario with an undefeated Oklahoma and OSU as the 1 loss Big 10 champ. They already have Oregon over OSU for the road win and OSU isn't getting left out.

As long as we finish 12-0 I don't see Uga missing the playoffs. Even losing the SEC Championship. Our loss would be to #2. No way Ga drops out of the Top 4. So, take em one at a time. We played our C game versus Missouri....slow start and a little sloppy on the Oline (LT Salyer out this week and next) and the D gave up 152 rushing yards to Mizzou's QBs but held RB Batie to 41.

You are dreaming if you think you are going if Bama, Oregon, OSU and Oklahoma win out. You would have the weakest big win of all those teams and will have lost to the only good team you played.

When competing against us , none of them. Can I help it our defense virtually assures us of a victory? I guess it will all pan out in the playoffs and with our fore mentioned defense, I like our chances.
No and I gave y'all credit for that in a previous post. But you have to admit, you haven't really played anybody. The true test of your team will be the SECCG.

The road to the natty runs through Tuscaloosa. If Ga finishes 12-0 and Bama wins in Atlanta the Dawgs could play them again for the natty. Only a two loss GA misses the CFP. But first the Vols.

ND got their asses kicked by Clemson and got in. But it was the media darlings, so who knows. Had Bama gone in undefeated, both get in regardless of who wins the SEC. Bama loses, they are out. Georgia loses and they are still in.

I only see UGa getting locked out if they completely screw the game. Bama wins by one score, UGa is still in. Bama wins by 10, UGa still in. Bama wins by 28, the water gets muddy.

Just to be clear, making no prediction, merely laying out various scenarios.

Already showed it above but you better hope either Bama, OSU, Oklahoma or Oregon loses prior to the SECCG if you were to lose the SECCG.

The committee isn't going to screw a 1 loss Big 10 champ and with OSU having to get in that means Oregon is guaranteed a spot. No undefeated power 5 champ would ever be left out either. I do think they probably take a 1 loss Georgia over a 2 loss A&M team that just beat them in the SECCG however based on their past actions.

You like to keep pointing out we haven't played anyone, yet look at the teams you are listing and tell me about their schedule. tOSU had a hard time with Nebraska just last weekend. Numerous examples of all those teams just skirting by.

Georgia deserves to be #1 until and unless someone beats them. Defense is probably the best in the nation and offense is good enough to win a title. We'll see how it plays out, but Alabama isn't as elite as they have been, Ohio State is very good but not great - same with Oregon and Oklahoma.

The only good wins (top12 committee rankings) right now are by Oregon, Michigan State and Cincy among the top teams. Bama even lost to the one top 12 team they played.

This would be my rankings at this point without their political BS as its insane to have Michigan over Michigan State at this point etc. Of course Oklahoma will work their way in later if undefeated.

1. Georgia - undefeated and a #17 and #25 opponent.

2. Oregon - 1 loss and the only huge victory among these teams @ #4 Ohio State.

3. Michigan State - 1 loss and a much better win than Bama at this point.

4. Bama - lost to the only top 12 committee team they played.

5. Cincy - Undefeated and weak overall schedule but do have a big win @ #9 Notre Dame

Not Kiffin, please. He brings excitement to the offense, but long term is not the answer, IMO. Just don't like the guy. I have no idea who THE guy is, though.
I'm convinced this is what we'll get from Lane Kiffin if he ever went to UF.

Not if it's a 52-20 affair. Anyone remember that greatest hit? 🤣 That being said, Bamer is definitely in reloading form. if the Jorts can't do it 2021, it will be another 40 years before they are relevant. 🤣

Jorts? A Gator calling a Dawg that is like a liberal calling a conservative snowflake.
