Just for Clarity Regarding the Pope

Yeah, not really. We are also the kind that shows up for Christmas and Easter. The Northern Episcopal church is actually become very liberal over the years. I grew up in the South - more traditional, but a far cry from catholicism.

Beautiful churches, to be sure, lol
A long time high school buddy is married to an Episcopal lady and he says they’re just Catholics who throw better cocktail parties.

Touche.

Certainly mead is an option when one drinks a country dry….. but there is the 3 week or so fermenting time to overcome. Plus the added hassle of making sure some random butterbar doesn’t find it

1 Timothy 2:
5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

Not the Pope, not a priest, not the church, not Mary, nor any saints.

There is no Vicar and no Co-Redemptrix. Jesus alone is the forgiver of sin and the redeemer kinsmen. His name means salvation.

Thanks. I bet you think we worship fake idols and don’t accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, right?

When a new arrival showed up in heaven, St. Peter agreed to give him a tour. They started down the hallway and there were various areas and rooms- all beautiful and occupied by happy souls.
At the end of the hallway was a quiet room occupied by solemn souls. The new arrival asked “Who are these people?” St. Peter said “This is reserved for the Baptists. They’re convinced they’re the only ones here”.
See you in Paradise, sir.

2 catholic roommates in college, a boss, next door neighbor and a cousin. I liked JPII. I am sure there will be many Catholics in heaven.

Irish Catholics maybe. But there are 1.3 Billion Catholics on Planet Earth and the Irish are a small part of that total.
Not just Irish....N American Catholics are no slouches. Irish may be the best...but as far as organized religions go...my bet is on the Catholics as far as ability to consume alcohol!
