Uh thats a lie. Kirby was hired in 2015. UGA played in the SEC Championship in both 2011 and 2012. Try again.
And this McElwain won the East thing is stupid and lacks context. Both years UF won it they had 3 and 3 losses respectively with multiple two score losses on their resume. Both years UF also had offenses ranked outside the top 100. The SEC East was historically bad and we backed into the title game because of it. Mullen’s team last year would beat either of those teams by a minimum of two scores but in your mind McElwain is better because he had the fortune of playing against a garbage division for his entire tenure. There’s a reason he was still fired after 3 years despite those division crowns...anybody with a brain saw it was fools gold.
Yep, and likely would have won it and played for the NC if the Georgia coach hadn't shit the bed late against Bama.

Yeah makes a lot of sense. Kirby took over a team and did worse than the year before with Richt. Mullen took over a 4 win team and preceded to win 10 games.
While also changing the culture at Florida. Funny how the Dawgs think Kirby gets double brownie points for doing it in Athens, but Mullen gets nothing for doing it in Gainesville AND winning 2 more games than Kang Kirby did.
If Mullen is so much better why hasn't he beaten Kirby? Apparently he can beat 10 other coaches.

Id say so considering both of those coaches got fired at their respective jobs. Those weren’t pretty losses at all. Losing to Vandy and GT were really bad as well.
You would be wrong then. Not sure what kind of math they teach in the northeast (I assume you are drom the northeast since most Floridians are FSU fans) but Kirby has only lost one game to those schools not two like Mullen has to Kirby - both ACTUAL blowouts.
I don’t care about the score. Losing to 2 fired coaches and then to Vandy and GT is pretty bad. All in the same year no less.
But honestly UF, UT and GT have all won a national title more recently than UGA.
Yet Mullen continually gets blown out by Kirby! Is Kirby the only coach Mullen can't beat?
Don’t know and don’t care to be honest. All I know and care about is titles and UGA hasn’t won 1 in 40 years. Bama, LSU, UF, Auburn and UT have all won a title more recently. Heck GT has won one more recently than UGA.

Mullen has zero division titles, zero conference titles and zero national championship titles. You may care about titles but Florida apparently doesn't because they hired a guy who has zero in 9 years. At least Kirby has come close in his 3 years. Mullen hasn't come close in 10 years.

They probably do have higher expectations than Georgia. They’ve won a title much more recently.

I don't speak for all Dawg fans just myself. The main thing was his comments with Justin Fields transferring insinuating that we must have lied to him if the situation was not what he expected and wanted to transfer already. He was basically questioning Kirby's character and how he recruits. Came across as very petty and jealous. The fact that he now has transfers so quickly is why Finebaum is giving him such a hard time after making those comments.
To be quite honest I don't mind some trolling although don't like it from head coaches. However, if you have never actually won anything (like Mullen) and have actually been whipped both times (like Mullen) you played the other coach then I think it is comes from self-esteem issues and I think he is feeling the heat. I don't think he is feeling the heat from Gator fans because they don't really expect him to beat Georgia but I think he wants to beat Georgia so bad and realizes that he is far from it and that freaks him out.
You do realize they NO big school offered Mullen while he was at Mississippi State don't you!? In fact, Florida offered Muschamp and McElwain over him and after both those coaches were fired he was still your third choice at best (behind Kelly and Frost).
You may not want to admit it but there is a reason that no big school offered him. He can't win enough. He can't recruit well enough. He literally has not even won a division title in 10 years...think about that! But I am glad that y'all love him. Ha ha. As long as he keeps within 20 points of Kirby y'all can claim another moral victory over the Dawgs!
I haven’t made excuses. You guys are the ones saying you only lost to Texas bc you had 25 7* players sitting out. If anything I made excuses for you saying that you didn’t want to be in the sugar bowl and came out flat. You guys should have won last year. You were the better team. This year we’ll be closer. Next year it’ll be about knotted up.
You guys are putting a lot of stock into two wins. He’ll get an extension and you won’t be happy about it.
If Mullen wins 10 games per year and gets blown out by Georgia every year not only will I be happy he gets an extension I'll chip in if they give him a lifetime contract.
2016 - Kirby only won 8 games cause he was 'changing the culture'.
2017 - Kirby only lost to Bama cause the 'refs cheated us'.
2018 - Kirby only lost to Bama cause 'Fields sucks'. And we didn't care about the Texas game.
Reminder: When they fire Kirby, it will all be because Kirby had the talent to win these games, and blew it. Wait and see.

When they had teams with fairly equal talent. UF was 11-1, UA was 12-0 going in.
And where did that get all those programs? Nowhere but losing a bunch of games and paying out large buyouts for shitty hires.
UT got nowhere by hiring Dooley and Butch. Miami got nowhere with Golden and Richt. Auburn got that one SEC title but their coach is stays on the hot seat. Texas passed him up for a mediocre Charlie Strong. Arkansas got stuck paying millions for the fat dude who lost a lot of games. The one tarnish on Foley's legacy is his stupid football hires.
So where did it get all of those programs? Not really any damn where. Mullen got experience under his belt and got his dream job. And for whatever reason, he bugs the hell out of y'all.
No doubt that many of them regret the actual hires they made. I think Tennessee will regret the Pruitt hire also. Time will tell if all those schools will look at Mullen and think "what could have been"
