It's happening!!!

i noticed you have not said anything, which means nothing has changed I assume?

It's complicated, but nothing's changed as far as I know. Supposedly down to vetting assistant coaches and control of football operations, which Kelly wants

What exactly does control of football operations mean at a collegiate level? No one butting in? Access to players?

Chip will be a tyrant, let’s not be under any delusions.

I just want to see consistent downfield passing. If I see many more bubble screens, I am going to murder all the bats in that guano house near Lake Alice.

Hoping it means control of uniform alternates as well. Him and Phil designing black, blue and orange uniforms with chrome helmets.
Hell no...this...are you even a Gator fan? Wth?

If Chip Kelly is not hired immediately, Century Tower will crumble as an entire class of virgins graduates in December. We need the post-hire wild celebration to ensure that does not occur. It must happen NOW!

Anybody else find it unusually strange that Chip Kelly has released no statement and ESPN is totally ignoring the rumors as if nothing is going on at all? It is as if it is an intentional silence...which seems positive. Does Chip have studio halftime duties tomorrow? That should be interesting as hell to watch.

Only proof, Sad, that the man is in Gainesville about to build a monster.

sadgator must have checked this MF ‘n thread 800,000 times between the time it was started and now just praying for something tangible...at this point it has become an addictive obsession...

In a weird sort of way, sadgstor will miss it when Chip is finally hired and we move on to other nonsense.
Wouldn't it be hilarious if Chip were hired and our offense still stunk?

This is all rumors at this point but yeah - the fact that CK and ESPN haven't rejected all the speculation says there's definitely something to be hopeful about.

Yeah...I think if the deal fell thru or whatever, we would certainly have some leaks by now that it wasn't happening. Perhaps with Kelly being out of coaching at the moment, and having been thru this several times, combined with a new AD at UF, they are doing a better job of keeping things under wraps, I dunno, speculation.

People need to realize Fooly always hired on the cheap. With these big time guys there is so much more to work through. My Michigan friends went through this when they hired Harbaugh. These types of guys can go anywhere they choose, they need to make sure UF is going to committ to allowing them to be successful. At the same time I think its safe to assume that UF is about to pay an unprecedented shit-ton of money for a coach, staff, recruiting budget, etc. I am sure its it important that both sides are confortable with it. This is a new coaching search for UF where we will automatically have a proven top 5 coach in the nation.

I have heard Chip even has a nutrition plan he wants to ensure the university can support. Anyone who thinks this guy won’t recruit is insane. He ia so detail oriented and has a plan that he will implement. This guy is truly the anti-Mac

Makes sense....with Zook, Mus, and Mc, I can see those guys being very eager to get to UF and want to sign ASAP.

Apparently, that nutrition plan involves lots of hops, wheat, and barley.

And hardly any vegetables if it was himself. I bet there is some laughs after he gets done telling them they need to eat like that changing the normal menu etc. and then joking about himself not being a good role model when it comes to eating himself.

Whole grains, very healthy .
Context indicates that word should be "healthful".

"Healthy" refers to the status of the plant that produces those grains; "healthful" refers to the consequences of other creatures, including people, eating them [†]. Some grains have too low a quality to be legal to feed to people, but still legal to feed to livestock. Consult your local family-scale farmer for details.

I've read--possibly in the UF alumni magazine, back when it was printed--that there's at least 1 microbrewery in G'ville that gives away its sparged grains to UF IFAS, altho' at the time, it was intended as feed for its livestock. But it's no secret that very healthful baked goods and other foods can be made for people by mixing in those sparged grains, which consist of more-or-less everything in the original whole grains except (for) their starches & sugars.

It might make very good nutritional sense to short-change the IFAS cattle for the benefit of UF's scholarship athletes.

I used to work for IFAS. Them cows eat better than most people. And some of them sleep on water beds. I shit you not.

I was an accounting major, lol, grammar lessons bored me to tears from elementary school through college.

ESPN's Chris Lowe is saying he thinks now we may not come to a deal with Kelly and he could end up somewhere else.

I hope they don't screw this up and A&M or someone makes him an offer he can't turn down.

why woudn't they **** it up, it's not like they want to win in football or be anything but the worst for a teachers salary as their coach..

They ruin this, fans are gone...

I agree. I still think we get him but if they screw this up it will be bad.
