It's happening!!!

I'll scan in the docs I have in front of me and upload them here, redacted of course.

Wrong. We're getting Norvell
Where are you getting this info? What time was this said plane in Memphis? How long was it there. It had to be a quick meeting.

Text msg from someone close to the Memphis program. Real close.

-Memphis held its normal early morning practice. Norvell was there at 5am and did not leave the practice facility until noonish in preparation for the SMU game that will clinch Memphis spot in the AAC title game.

-Around 1:00 pm Mike Norvell along with OC Doug Dickey was visiting East High School in Memphis. Not confirmed they also visited MUS to speak with some potential recruits.

-Earle (AR) High School QB recruit Gerry Bohannon held a phone conversation with the Norvell according to his high school assistant coach yesterday afternoon.

- Mike Norvell was seen leaving the Penny Hardaway HOF ticket office yesterday at 5:30 pm.

- Mike Norvell arrived at the Brookehaven Bar and Grill for his weekly coaches call in show with his wife Maria by his side. The show ended at 8:00 pm and Mike Norvell after posing with a few children and fans along with a few autographs left Brookhaven approximately 8:15 pm.

-From there no details available.

I'm not saying what you are saying isn't true. It very well could be. With his schedule it couldn't have been a long meeting unless done late in the evening.

-Agent Jimmy Sexton office is located in Memphis. Not sure if he is the agent for Chip Kelly or not but he is the agent to many coaches, it was possibly a meeting with Sexton is why Stricklin could have been in Memphis.

Who knows, but most all rumors are Chip Kelly to UF.

BTW, anyone know is Scott Stricklin was at the basketball game.last night? @PacoGator19 ? Anybody? If he was, the meeting with Norvell had to have been late in the evening after the UF hoops game and a flight to Memphis.

I’m so tired of people trolling :(
I keep hearing Kelly and I hope somebody will give evidence supporting that.

Yep it seems like it really is done now. Quite a few who said we were just waiting for Kelly's signature claim its a done deal now its just whenever they decide the best time to announce it is.

Wednesday or Thursday would be good I think - after the playoff rankings and get a few days press before this weekend also.

Get ready. Deal was signed last night.
Deal with which coach!?

[Confidence level] I'd say 90% [....]
Dayyam it, ‘Paco’! We don't need more "90%" speculative noise here on ITG! We've already got plenty, and M.J.'s unofficial "Official Next University of Florida Head Coach Thread" is a perfectly good place for posting it.

[....] something can always happen
Then in plain English, whatever your obnoxiously uninformative topic-subject "It" refers to is not actually "happening" (progressive tense in English).

Please don't yank around every ITG member's time with yet another thread like this, until either
• Stricklin is standing at a podium in front of microphones and video cameras with whomever the new coach is, and all of us reading ITG should immediately drop what we're doing and turn on ESPN-News or local sports-radio; or
• the time for such a press conference has been officially [‡] announced by Stricklin or other U(F)AA officials [‡].
Sheesh!

Not even a peep of Gator news yet on sports-radio from Orlando, which is yakking about what countries failed to make the World Cup of socialist effin' soccer!

-------
Note ‡: Here's hoping that you know that being "official" requires an actual officially-responsible-person, e.g., Athletic Director Stricklin, to have declared it so (unlike, e.g., M.J. or that alleged UF-alum writer Mike Bianchi, who's pandering to UCF nowadays).

Not sure what else you want me to do. I'm not Stricklin. I'll have access to the press release a few minutes before it is released to the media.

Relax big guy...it's a message board...where we post rumors, predictions, and the occasional inside info.

It's not Gatorzone where all news is official and fact.

It’s gonna be a pretty big wet fart if this doesn’t happen at this point.

I don't know why everyone is so sure this is happening. There is no source for any of this other than some message board posts. I would be pretty excited if we hired Kelly, but I just can't see it.

Paco has gotten inside info. I've separately gotten inside info that corroborates what Paco got.

They subverted the SEC restriction on taking another xfer after others had failed to progress academically, so getting the cow-Chip in should also be no problem for the $$$bags...

"The bylaw requires a school’s president or chancellor to “consult directly” with SEC commissioner Greg Sankey before considering hiring a coach who has had any major NCAA infractions. In June 2013, the NCAA gave Kelly an 18-month show-cause penalty for a failure to monitor his Oregon program."

Great decision for sure, because Charlie Pell won a lot of games for UF too, after actually winning a NC for Clemson....
