It's happening!!!

Chip at Florida is the perfect place for him to build a monster in a few years, the first year will be tough because Mac ****ed up the talent level on both sides of the ball worse than Muschamp and just flat out didn't give a shit at all.. So many stories about him drinking beer causing scenes in Gainesville bars while other top notch coaches like Saban were out recruiting their asses off like they were desperate the exact way mac should have been.. He just didn't give a damn about the culture at all to be a HC at a school like Florida, and he was arrogant as **** like he could play anyone at QB.. He really, GENUINELY thought he was gonna be able to re create the same offense to bully teams like Bama but at UF without really having his OC from CSU that made it all happen, and you all saw just how pathetic that plan failed, while patronizing everyone questioning him with worse offenses than Muschamp from day one each year dropping more in the 110 plus ranks.. What a ****ing clown...

Chip is gonna have to save the program and he sounds like he wants to bring in a super stud staff with him on both sides of the ball.. Can't ****ing wait man...

No shit man, the guy is making sure he has money for a top notch staff and a good recruiting budget. Don’t know why people don’t understand that he is taking this job because he wants to win big and making sure he’ll have the support

Bingo!

And another thing people in their little bubbles won't see...he will bring back the fan base and sell out the stadium... hell, even I am starting to care about sports again.

If what I am hearing is correct this would be the “calm before the storm”. I read an account as detailed as whose plane was used

If it ends up being Chip, I don't care how long the fans have to anxiously wait for the rumors to be confirmed.

Well, maybe early enough that he could get a strong head start on recruiting activities and reaching out to potential assistants. :)

This would be the first no-doubter slam dunk since UM got Harbaugh.

sadgator finds the mainstream media’s reaction to the entire thing bizarre.

Like Brett McMurphy joking around about and essentially making fun of fans freaking out over internet rumors and Robbie and Pat reluctant to acknowledge that this deal could really being going down.

It is pretty easy to kill a “rumor” if you really want to in today’s age. Just issue an official statement. Or better yet, interview the fvckin’ guy. He works for ESPN as an analyst...shouldn’t somebody over there make a phone call and say “Hey Chip, any truth?”

If you don’t do that, you shouldn’t act all surprised or critical of fans who are simply trying to get accurate information. It’s really cheap journalism. Guess that’s just the way it is now with social media platforms being used for mass communication.

That was a good article.

"He mentioned specifically coaching against Bill Belichick and Tom Coughlin. I think he got that out of his system. After losing to Auburn in that sour ending of the Jan. 2011 BCS title game, I'm sure there's some part of Kelly that would like to mix it up again with the best of the SEC."

OH WOW! And you figured all of that out all by yourself. How very insightful of you, and how nice of you to clue the rest of us in... o_O

:D:D:p:D:D

This is turning into a total shit show.

We must seriously look like a bunch a numbnuts to the rest of the nation.

This is all standard internet-driven speculation. Hopefully the mutual interest with Kelly turns out solid. The rest of it won't matter.

But it wasn't Spurrier anyway, apparently, it is Foley per WestLakeGator in another thread.

No telling but it seems all the people saying the deal is 100% already done have went a little quiet lately and Spurrier felt he needed to address this since the SEC Channel and them were running with it. It hope it being on the news stops whatever big boosters or whoever it is from pulling this mess. Foley shouldn't even have any input with his crappy track record in football.
