Interested in truth about mRNA vax technology?

This is a very educational watch. And yes, this guy probably knows more about this stuff than anyone on the planet.

Uh, that guy didn't invent mRNA vaccine technology. He is a fraud if he is claiming he invented the technology or any of the vaccines.

If you want to know who was involved in the creation of mRNA vaccine technology, read The Codebreaker by renowned biographer Walter Isaacson:

Amazon product ASIN 1982115858
No single person created the technology. Jennifer Doudna, who leads a lab at UC Berkley, was awarded the Nobel Prize (along with her collaborator Emmanuelle Charpentier a French scientist) for the key final step. But as recognized in the book, a handful of key scientists and their discoveries contributed over time. Doudna and Charpentier won a race to apply the technology to create a COVID vaccine on an expedited basis when the pandemic hit. They barely beat another group from MIT and Harvard in getting the final breakthrough published.

The CRISPR technology leading to the mRNA vaccine was already being researched and worked on when the pandemic hit and its tremendous potential had been recognized in the intellectual world, by drug companies, and by private equity firms. The pandemic just resulted in an all hands on deck, drop everything else effort from all the key scientists involved (and many not involved to that point) to find a vaccine.

Be careful where you get your information.

You have fallen victim to the internet frauds trying to discredit him. You have been had. His patents date back to the 80’s. Sounds like you should follow your own advice.

FWIW. Dr Kariko, who the media claims as their mRNA darling for being the main person behind mRNA, even credits Dr Malone.

Just sayin

Nothing I know about Doudna and Charpentier and other other scientists discussed in the book comes from "the media." I read the book The Code Breaker earlier this year. It has an exhaustive discussion of the numerous individuals and teams and scientific discoveries which led to the vaccine. No one person created the technology it was a series of discoveries.

The Malone guy may have written a paper which had some relevance, but so did many many others. I don't even remember him being mentioned in the book. Any contribution he made would have been remote in time and incredibly small.

One thing that should stand out to you is that the guy claims he invented it. Every key scientist involved in the critical discoveries, including Doudna and Charpenier and the MIT/Harvard colleagues/competitors, acknowledge no single person or discovery led to it. There is argument over what was in fact the key discovery, and which team first made the final step (Doudna and Charpentier are formally recognized and that led to the Nobel Prize). But none of them claim to be THE inventor.

I looked up this guy Malone's website. He is a fraud. Go read the book (Isaacson is a renowed biographer and professor with numerous best sellers including biographies of Steve Jobs, Kissinger, Einstein, Ben Franklin, Leonardo DaVinci, and a book on those who contributed to the discovery of the digital revolution. Virtually all of his books are best sellers and several have won book awards.

Remember when the resident libtards here were sceptical about the Chinese vaccine every time Bad Orange Man mentioned it?

During the vice presidential debate

Cumala Harris: "If Donald Trump tells us we should take it(the Chinese vaccine), I'm not taking it"

The Groper Joe's same exact sentiments. My how you libtards here have selective memories.

I am afraid you are getting confused. The doctors you mention have later involvement. It’s ok that you are wrong and confused as it’s a complex matter. Go anywhere on the web, and show where Douda was responsible fir mRNA (use those terms specifically) and show who gets credit for mRNA. I am not disagreeing there are others involved, but Douda and charpentier came along later.

I am guessing there is a reason you aren’t providing links to anything that mentions them and mRNA tech responsible for vax. Most folks credit dr Kariko. Who does she credit? Dr Malone.

Had enough yet? No?

Highlights for those with not much time.

“In the 1980s, while a researcher at the Salk Institute, Malone conducted studies on messenger ribonucleic acid (mRNA) technology, discovering that it was possible to transfer mRNA protected by a liposome into cultured cells to signal the information needed for the production of proteins.[2][3] In the early 1990s, he collaborated with Jon A. Wolff, Dennis A. Carson, and others on a study that first suggested the possibility of synthesizing mRNA in a laboratory to trigger the production of a desired protein.”[4]

Wikipedia and a CNN article?

Hey if you don't want to read the book, that is o.k. Go ahead and trust whatever media you are getting your info from. It seems you want to argue media sources. I'm not interested in what a single or a couple of media reports have to say that shit is mostly entertainment these days. I chose to read an entire book about it from a reputable source. If you read the book, you would see that your claim is laughable.

Maybe you should get in touch with the scientists charged with nominating and awarding the Nobel Prize to set the record straight?

This kind of post is why I call you diabolical.

The other "vaccine-hesitant" posters here seem to be debating in good faith or are just legitimately dumb and simply can't help themselves. You, on the other hand, know better. But you twist things in insidious and divisive ways that cannot possibly be the result of a misunderstanding. You are doing this malevolently.

What is wrong with you? Do you fancy yourself as some kind of "agent of chaos," like the Joker, here to corrupt people and turn them against each other? I can't figure out what's in it for you. Whoever you are, you are profoundly disturbed.
I blame Jon Stewart and the Daily Show for this kind of response. This is equivalent to deadpanning into a camera and making a funny face and that’s now considered a valid retort.

You’re throwing a lot of accusations of nefariousness at someone without specifying why it’s “diabolical.” You typed out two paragraphs of insults without even addressing what caused you to have this outburst.

You’re a lib. That much is obvious at this point. Worse, you’re a lib that cannot read/didn’t read based on you thinking there was a link to CNN. Hint: There wasn’t. So, now that we have established that, what you’re trying to do is discredit Malone which is something libs are trying do for some strange reason. No need to read the book, the information on mRNA technology is free for anyone to find on the web.

As for nobel peace price, who gives AF. That organization had been outed as a bastion for libs long ago. They play politics.

I suggest you look into the difference in what the scientists you’re talking about got their nobel prize for, and what Malone and others did with mRNA technology.

Hint: the scientists your discussing got the award for something they achieved in 2011. Basically they made enhancements to something. Sort of like making a faster computer chip, that doesn’t mean you invented the computer chip. Good grief.

mRNA has been around longer than that.

Funny part is, you’re going into the weeds here.

Back on topic: what did you find false in the video? I will wait. I have a feeling you don’t want to discuss that, you just want to try and discredit. Thats the lib playbook.

I think the real reason why @Uniformed_ReRe is becoming so terrified by my posts is because he's starting to realize they make sense, and he's starting to wonder in the back of his mind if maybe he really HAS been hoodwinked all this time.

His rants and raves are a defense mechanism. Stop exposing me to facts and logic I haven't considered.
People resist the most before it makes sense to them.

The truly crazy part is that they are not attacking Dr. Malone for calling the vaccine dangerous...because he doesn't think it is dangerous. **edit** he does recognize that it is possible that it could be...and then explains why we don't know what we don't know.

They are attacking Dr. Malone because he thinks that people who are silencing concerns are wrong and that the practice of such is irresponsible and dangerous.

It's freaking bizzaro world with these people. If you don’t toe the company line you are an "enemy of the people." And these deep thinkers have the nerve to ever call others sheep?

Good Lord.

You are so far out in left field it is comical. If you actually read about the development of the mRNA vaccine, in The Code Breaker or in another complete book on the subject -- certainly more will be coming out -- you will see why the scholarly article you posted shows this guy Malone just contributed to the literature and made a small incremental advancement years ago -- long before the key discoveries were made. He is a minor player like hundreds of other scientists, and his work is remote in time.

Your comment about the scientists I mention, who you think won the "Nobel Peace Prize" for work in 2011, tells me all I need to know about you. You are embarrassing yourself to those with even a modicum of knowledge on these issues. Those scientists didn't win a Nobel Peace Prize. There are multiple different Nobel prizes, one of which is in fact the Nobel Peace Prize. The scientists who made the final leap to actually use mRNA technology to create a vaccine won the Nobel Prize for Chemistry.

I do not have a political agenda here and have not expressed any political opinion here. I've expressed no opinion on the vaccine. You obviously have a political agenda and this Malone guy has some outsize importance to you. Go ahead and believe this Malone guy was "the inventor" of the mRNA vaccine. I could care less. But understand that people with knowledge of these issues are chuckling at your ignorance.

On his website he claims "others are now claiming they invented it."

I have no idea what this Malone guys is saying that needs to be silenced. Presumably he is saying something you like and you want to build him up. Go ahead. He can be your hero for whatever reason.

Go read a little and educate yourself, other than through a couple of internet sources, before thinking you are an expert as to these issues. Anyone who reads The Code Breaker and learns about all the different steps and breakthroughs needed to get an actual mRNA vaccine will see the Malone guy is a fraud for claiming he invented the vaccine.

The only reason I came over here is to see if a locked thread I read on Swamp Talk had been moved there. Someone had quoted flu statistics suggesting upwards of 130,000 people die in the U.S. every year due to the flu and was comparing that to deaths from COVID. From my reading, I knew those figures were not accurate. (I have read multiple books since the pandemic on pandemics, bioterrorism, vaccines, and so on. The Code Breaker is only one of the books I have ready. I had also researched CDC website info to look at the actual statistics for the flu).

I wanted to see if that thread was open over here to let that poster (and others who read it) know that their statistic was wrong. They assumed that in the range of 130,000 people died in the U.S. every year. That is way off. There have been some years over time -- very few but some -- where over 100,000 people in the U.S. died due to the flu in a bad flu year. The average is much lower. Most years fall somewhere between 10,000 and about 60,000 deaths from the flu depending on the strain that year. So I was going to let people know, who were arguing about covid v. flu, that they had a major faulty assumption built into the whole argument. There were cherry picked numbers from probably one of the worst flu years since the 1918-1919 flu pandemic.

The guys posting trying to build up Malone are not worth arguing with too much. There are plenty of idiots in this world and it is not worth engaging them all.

Did you look at the actual statistics for covid? Because the CDC's own website clearly states that only 36k people have died from covid in the United States.

Out of everything I just said, literally the only thing you addressed is me adding the word “peace” to nobel prize. Good grief. Really? Other than that, you regurgitated the same BS from your other post that was destroyed. Good work I guess, you really got me. I have read plenty. Yes they won their award for work they did in 2011. Do you dispute that? Nope.

Where are your links giving them credit for mRNA. Still waiting.

What are you disputing about the link from CNS with Dr Malones credentials? Still waiting. I mean, your acute reading skills said I posted something from CNN, yet you’re obsessed with me adding the word peace to Nobel Prize? Yikes, maybe you should put the weed wacker down and get the mower out to address the substance.

I am assuming you have a financial interest in code breakers since you have yet to provide links to what these two scientists got their nobel prize for, or anything linking them to the beginning research on mRNA. Still waiting. Glad to know this book is the authority on something. Which Kennedy book should we all read so we know who assassinated him?

Bottom line. Dr Malone knows a shit ton more than most about mRNA. He had a role in it’s very beginnings, and is given credit for that by dr kariko.

Your two doctors improved upon something just as I stated, and you confirmed.

For some dumbass reason you more worried about character assassination.

Since you won’t do it, I will post his credentials from CNS

“Dr Malone brings more than 20 years of management and leadership experience in academia, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology with deep expertise in regulatory and medical strategy for global clinical product development. Dr Malone is an internationally recognised physician and scientist for his work in the areas of clinical trials, vaccines, gene therapy, biodefense, and immunology and specifically as one of the original inventors of DNA vaccination and multiple non-viral gene therapy technologies (RNA and DNA).”

Now, since you want to divert from the topic, go watch the damn video. Then comment on the content of the video. Thats the topic. And yes, it’s clear to most you have an agenda here.

Charpentier made an initial discovery in 2011, before she was collaborating with Doudna. It was her subsequent work with Doudna, in further expounding upon and more importantly demonstrating uses of what she discovered, that resulted in the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2020 to both of them. Go on with your defense of Malone who is apparently a cult hero for you for some reason. I presume he supports your position on a vaccine issue and that is why you like him.

The video. The topic is the video. You know what tells me you have an agenda? You are making assumptions on what Malone says in the video, which is a liberal narrative on the web and in the media. As for your diatribe on nobel prizes in 2020 for work done in 2011. It has already been established that the two doctors you’re in love with made enhancements to an already existing technology, so why keep bringing it up? They weren’t a part of mRNA technology origins or else you would post the link.

Now the topic. Watch the video and stop making assumptions. You’re making yourself look foolish by assuming you know folks position (including Malones)on vaccines

No, your topic and concern may be the video. Mine is only that if that guy claims he "invented" the mRNA vaccine then he is a fraud. I could care less about the rest of it. Go ahead and argue with others about what he has to say. It is not of concern to me.

He claims on his website, and you have said, that he is the "inventor" of the mRNA vaccine. Well that is wrong, very wrong, and the guy is trying to claim credit for marginal work done years ago that it just part of the every growing scientific understanding and literature regarding RNA.

I'm not interested in arguing with you. I did that for a living for 26 years -- and was pretty good it. Good enough where I am retired at a young age. If you want to pay me to argue with you, my discount rate is $300 an hour.

No go on and joust with some others about the issues that cause you to want to cling to Malone's opinions whatever they are specifically.

You're not arguing, you're deflecting. And if you don't want to discuss the OP, then you are the one that needs to move on.

Hopefully you were better at arguing in real life than you are on this message board, because you were defeated pretty soundly ITT. Nice attempt at flexing though.

Weird thing that seems to happen with libs, they love career flexing when their arguments are exposed.

Seems he's doing the same thing @kalimgoodman tries to do. That's your argument, I don't want to talk about that, I want to talk about something else.

Plus he admits he hasn't seen the video, and he's guessing at what it says and even what you think based on watching the video.

Which he did not. It's so curious how scared to death some dems are of learning something new.

It is funny you call me a "lib" without knowing me. Unless you fall well outside the averages I have given and raised more money for conservative political candidates than you earn in your best year of whatever job/profession you hold. You are way off base and assuming way too much.

You sure are acting like a lib. Why do you feel the need to try to flex about your finances on a message board And you have no clue how much money anyone has or contributes, and then want to lecture on assumptions. Thats rich.

Feels eerily familiar. Anyway, take the L and move along.

Saying you make $300 an hour in a service profession after a quarter century of experience is NOT a flex. He might think it is, but...

I didn't work on an hourly basis. Your comrade jfegaly sounds like he is about 15 years old. You guys have fun picking fights with folks you think are "libs." I am kind of chucking at you guys.

You both get to go on ignore from here on out.

I was very concerned about the side effects of the J&J vaccine, but they weren’t that bad. I was very sick for two days, dry heaving, and lost my appetite for a week. The fatigue was pretty bad and now I get pins and needles sensation in my hands and feet. Probably a result of an autoimmune disorder brought on by the vaccine. Three days ago my penis fell off, but other than that it was pretty mild.

I have no idea what this Malone guys is saying that needs to be silenced. Presumably he is saying something you like and you want to build him up.

You say this and then treat this book, The Code Breakers, as though it's the Bible on the subject.

You offered me advice...

Go read a little and educate yourself, other than through a couple of internet sources, before thinking you are an expert as to these issues.

I'm going to offer it right back to you.

And where in the hell did I intimate that I was an expert "on these issues?" Buy a mirror.

If you're good with silencing concerns from a guy like Dr. Malone, there probably isn't much that anyone could say to move you. Meanwhile I have no issue with alternative experts weighing in...even if it goes against the narrative that you are accusing me of subscribing to. Truth be told, it is ONLY YOU who is defending a narrative.

I am saying that silencing people that you disagree with is incredibly stupid and counterproductive...not to mention un-American.
