What's the problem? Unlike some of the northern teams of the SEC, Florida should have no weather problems in the winter. Or so I thought.

The last 3 seasons for UF
2016 #45 in the nation (8th in the SEC) 9686 home attendance game avg.

2017 #35 in the nation ( 6th in the SEC) 10690 home game attendance avg.

2018 Only the NCAA Top 30 was given from the site and Florida ain't among them. #30 was Villanova at 11208.

They do list every school in alphabetical order and Florida with a 9732 home attendance avg.(just a tad above 2016 avg.)

Instadipwad, you told me that Gators love their teams.

When it’s rocking, the O’Dome is as good as anywhere, but it’s always been a tough draw except for big games...

The stadium seating configuration has a huge flaw in that it is inverted the wrong way for television. The Rowdies should be across the court from the cameras, not under them, as they currently are. sadgator thought they would correct this error as part of the exactech reno, but they didn’t.

As a result, the place never looks as good on TV as it should...

Thompson-Bowling doesn’t exactly pack em in unless UK comes to play....

UT Men's Basketball attendance at Thompson-Boling Arena over the last 4 seasons.

2015 with a crappy break even season # 13 in the nation with avg attendance `15,064
2016 with a crappy break even season # 17 in the nation with avg attendance 14,232
2017 with a crappy break even season #20 in the nation with avg attendance 13,638
2018 with what was thought to be a similar crappy season but wasn't, # 8 in the nation with an avg attendance 16,209

This season will have better numbers as several games have been sellouts at a tad over 21000.

With all the donors both private and corporate, money shouldn't be a problem to either fix the arena or build a new one on or near campus that has the kind of seating, private boxes, and big screens that draw fans to home games. (plus a better product on the floor)

The stadium itself is world class coming out of the last reno...it’s just got the seating configured opposite to how it should be.

Mad-Dog, UF OWNS THE SEC ALL SPORTS TROPHIES.

You told me many times that UF has no history or traditions.

UF has more SEC-C's than any other school in the SEC.

When your rubber dollies win a NC in football and basketball in the same season/year, do let me know. Same goes for kensucky...

And ole sloppy-drop has the world record for fasted evacuation of 107,000 drunk hillbillies, usually when playing the Gators... :D:p:D

UT did it in 1998

It was woman's basketball. But you didn't specify which. So yeah, UT has done that.

And NONE of this has schidt to do with why Florida has such low paid attendance for their #2 sport. If you are the champion of 932 different NCAA Sports including Tiddly-Winks, ain't many people seeing it happen.

Once again, Dodge, Divert, Distract, Detach and Detour.

But never answer the question like sadgator did..

We drew crowds pretty well in the back to back title years. On the whole, we are admittedly a pretty lazy traveling fan base. We’ll travel if a team is worthy or if it is a big game. But we ain’t driving multiple hours to see a team that doesn’t give maximum effort. That is a product of the fact that we have been to the top of the mountain so many times in so many sports.

So knoxvile has a high homeless population. What is your point?

Explain to me how the 100,000 toothless inbreeding relatives from the Smith family that packed the UT stadium against Florida in 2018 helped them to that 49-21 victor, I mean defeat.

Let me also state that you are bashing attendance at Florida when Florida is known as a football school first and foremost. You can hit on us for when we don't fill our football stadium, but not any of the other sports.

For that matter, Gainesville is actually a pretty small "big city" in the state of Florida for that matter, we really don't have a large population here and it's not exactly to be expected that people will travel to the city for mid-week games, from the likes of Tampa, Orlando, and Jacksonville.

Knoxvile on the other hand is the 3rd largest city in the state of Tennerssee and the population center in the eastern side of the state itself.

The ONLY thing I am bashing is Instadoofus and it goes back years. I am just using factual numbers to irritate him.

If it irritates you, I don't give a sh!t.

Knoxville is much bigger, that certainly helps with the draw for hoops, and their arena seats about 10k more. What else is there to do in east Tennessee? But our recent renovation elevated our facility. We are fine..

Tennessee doesn’t win much in any of their sports. I guess their women’s basketball program has been good. Other than that they pretty much suck at everything else b

After the 2 national titles, they raised ticket prices considerably. That's a factor. But it's true that basketball at Florida doesn't draw like it should considering it's the SEC and we've been pretty good on a regular basis. Same thing with baseball. We're a powerhouse in baseball and usually finish in the Top 10 nationally in attendance, but get outdrawn big time by LSU, Miss. St. Ole Miss & Arkansas. But Gator fans really turn out for gymnastics. Last year they were 5th nationally with over 8300 per home meet. And keep in mind, the Gators are excellent in all sports except women's basketball and had over 1,000,000 fans attend various sporting events last year and will eclipse that mark this academic year. Don't know if UT did that.

So us Gator fans prefer Women in tights to men in tights? Yea I think so...

If this village idiot mad-doggie ever took a complete chit, there'd be nothing left but a smelly pile of clothes...

The NCAA released its annual Division I men’s basketball attendance report on Tuesday, and the new-look Exactech Arena/O’Connell Center resulted in a significant attendance boost for the Gators during the 2016-17 season.

Gators have jobs.

:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

So do the dollieville hillbillies, but their jobs are real late at night, firing up the stills and/or practicing their NASCAR skills on the back roads running shine...
Honestly I think to this day they are still standing around up there waiting for me to return so they can finish off the job they started on my vehicle in the parking lot outside of their stadium back in September of 1996. That's why I've never returned to that toilet bowl of a stadium and to this day, enjoy giving them the business and kicking them in the teeth while they are down. I've seen some classless crap in my years of going to games. Seen gangbangers in the stadium at south Carolina threaten an old man that they'd be waiting outside the gates for him after the game, and no USC people cared one bit, I've seen an old white haired Alabama woman get in the face of a crying gator fan who couldn't have been more than 7 years old in OUR stadium and laugh at him and call him a piece of shit gator (after they broke John Brantley's leg), but I don't hate any fanbase/team as a whole save UT. The rest I just admit have their own fair share of crappy fans (as do we ourselves).

I've hosted Tennessee fans at a Gator game before, really decent people. When we parted ways, they gave me a 5th of then the newly minted 'Gentleman Jack' for doing so. :)
I nursed that bottle for over 10 years, taking a sip after each UF/TN game...;)

And then there's the Mad-Dog-dollie that I get to bitch-slap on a regular basis. He can usually be found sitting up on the village wall on ole sloppy-drop...
