In before the gun confiscation NUTS.....

@GatorTheo doesn't want to buy a gun, so he doesn't care if he loses that right. Hell he'd probably feel safer if no one had that right.

What he can't see, or what he doesn't care to see, is that if you allow the left to take one Constitutional Right, they will take them all.

For instance, the Constitution affords both Theo and myself the right to a speedy public trial. I've never had to exercise that right, but I can appreciate the severity of the Jan6th defendants being denied that right.

Theo apparently cannot. His vision is apparently limited to what affects him today. If he doesn't feel like he is affected today if everyone loses a Constitutional Right, then why should he care?

Why indeed.
At any time, have I ever said you shouldn't be able to own a gun?

Moderates aren't extremists by definition.
That’s why it’s quoted. Because it’s incorrectly labeled, but I know you know this. My contention is that group ARE the extremist. They gave us the Patriot Act. Which is the policy of an extremist.

Also, you have already met your quota for free speech. Why do you feel you need to speak more sir, as the first amendment requirement has already been fulfilled for you.

The 2nd is very specific, agree?

Refusing to act in a time when action is required is the definition of extremism.

BTW have you seen this?

Biden casually claiming that he wrote the Patriot Act, it was passed almost as he wrote it, that Bill Barr tried to stop it, and that Robert Mueller paved the way for it to be approved.

We have one party in this country. The 20% that are still asleep need to wake up.

Not sure. What does it say exactly?

Something like the government shall make no law about free speech?

About what are you confused?
You are so defeated in this thread...PLEASE quit embarrassing yourself. You have not made 1/2 of a good argument on this subject. NOT ONE. The context of your ridiculous argument is that gun companies make us feel guns are necessary, when they really are not. We say the Constitution of our GREAT Country allows for us to own guns. This kind of sums up EVERY page on this thread. In a court of law...who wins this case? So just stop with your garbage...I am starting to actually feel sorry for you...and your family

I am not confused one bit. But can appreciate the depth with which you will go to troll.

You are not a serious person and have validated my point about which groups are the extremists. Thank you.

Of course. The middle and the left are extremists. The right is very balanced and rational.

Agreed.

Americans who love this country want to follow the constitution.
The extremists wants to rip it to shreds.

Those are the 2 groups. The gig is up. Time to just be honest about it.

It is obvious the group with which you identify.

AGAIN Theo...you LOSE. Do us ALL a favor...RIGHT NOW..go open your back door...go in your back yard and practice falling down. You are going to need to get VERY good at it.

So I know what you mean, but I need to correct the phrasing.

The Constitution doesn't "allow" anything directly, it LIMITS the powers of the Federal Gov't.

That distinction makes it much more powerful because it always defeats the argument "where in the Constitution does it say you have the right to an AR15?".

You can't even argue a question using that premise, because it's fundamentally backwards. I'd respond, "where in the Constitution does it say the Gov't can PREVENT me from buying an AR15?".

It says you have the right to bear arms. It doesn't say you have the right to have unlimited numbers of what ever weapons you want.

It basically says the government can't totally disarm you.

Do you think you sound rational about this topic? Seriously?

I mean you literally said that someone cannot own a gun AND a pickup. Pick one.

You want all of society to change its behavior due to your irrational fear of an inanimate object.

You've never been shot and killed by a gun, yet you live your life in fear that today could be your day. That's your right.

But you are so selfish that you want all of society to be punished because of your irrational fear.

I think it's time you grew up and realized that we all aren't going to change our lives cause you are scared of an imaginary bogeyman.

Why'd you edit your post?

False....again, "will not be infringed" means that it will not be limited, undermined or encroached upon.

We've been over this. You'll never hear if you aren't willing to listen.

Again, if you are bearing arms, your right to bear arms has not been infringed.

And here we go. You have no clue what the Founders were trying to do when they created the foundational rules for this Republic.

By your standard, can they take everything from me but a BB gun? What if I punch hard, does that constitute "bearing arms" - because I could kill you with a punch? Who gets to decide what "arms" even are?

Which is why the 2nd amendment was written the way it was...clear and unambiguous.

Your reading gives the Federal gov't almost limitless powers to infringe upon our freedom.

Even 3rd grade civics teachers understand that the BOR grants ALL powers not specifically assigned to the Federal Gov't to the people and the States. The BOR is only there to limit the power of the Federal gov't to take freedoms away, not the other way around.

I think 'arms' are generally considered to be killing machines. I don't think a bb gun would qualify.

That's because you have an irrational fear of guns. Do you also think cars are killing machines?

Have you ever been shot? Have you ever been in a car wreck? Maybe you are scared of the wrong thing? Just trying to help you manage your irrational fears.
