But this is not the way I want to see Todd Golden fired. On the court, he brought respect back to the Gator hoops program after Insta's beloved Mike White left for Georgia.
Golden has done an amazing job. Sucks, but my guess is he won't survive much longer, as he shouldn't if this crap is true.
Yeah, I was expecting a good season of bball, but I would easily sacrifice bball for football any day and I played bball throughout childhood, haha. Or maybe the allegations are proven preposterous vs Golden and highlight how Stricklin just continues to suck as AD and we get to can Stricklin, Billy, and retain Golden.
Also, maybe Stricklin saying we ain't getting rid of the football coach is the reverse of how football coaches say they aren't going anywhere right before they take another job. Haha.
You could always do like a lot of high schools and make the head football coach the athletic director, too.

UF was never going to win anything with white. He had plenty of time to prove himself at uf and he was average on his best day. Dawgs will end up firing him.

Whoever leaked it knew about it and let it be kept under wraps, and, presumably, would have left it that way. Further, they didn't leak it because it was the right thing to do, but to embarrass Stricklen, and through him, UF. When the broom comes through, they need to be part of what is swept out the door. In all of this, they may have the lowest ethics of anyone. Well, maybe tied with Stricklin.

With 20+ win winning seasons including an Elite-8, he was the 2nd best B-Ball HC in UF history imo.
Then throw in solid off the court and in the classroom success of the student/athletes.
And Mike White was a 4.0 character person and a solid family man that was never going to embarrass UF.
If WINNING is ALL THAT MATTERS to you, then you should be an NBA fan, not a college B-Ball fan.

We'll just ignore the FACT that with the BillyD leftover 16-17 loser roster and Mike's xfer-in SG Canyon Barry he took them to a 20 win NIT Quarter Final with none of the home games that he was entitled to due to the O'Dome's renovations.

That roster replaced one of Donovan's best recruiting classes that did no worse than the Elite Eight for all 4 years with Patric Young, Will Yeguette, Rather and Wilbekin. How convenient you left that obvious fact out. Of course there was going to be a major drop-off.
