How can we stand by and know the current President is only capable of doing his job between 10am and 4pm

The loss of mental acuity is progressive. You are correct. And that’s my point. Anyone looking at the situation objectively has seen these signs, for 2-3 years at least. Yes, when a person is experiencing this some days are better than others. When they’re having good days you’re still well aware of what’s going on. My grandmother died of dementia. One day she’d remember me. The other she wouldn’t. On the days she remembered me, I didn’t forget she had dementia. If you’re just noticing his mental decline now I don’t know what to tell you.

And we had Trump for 4 years. And the country did just fine. If arrogance was a disqualifier from office we’d never get anyone elected.
The point about him shooting someone on 5th avenue wasn't about arrogance......it was about the republicans willing to back their guy no matter what. The same thing you are accusing the democrats of.

And both are true.

And your circling around the point with the mental acuity thing. I have been saying for more than a year that Biden was too old and the democrats needed somebody else.......but the progressive nature of this means its not the same analysis at different points in time. At some point Joe Biden has gotten or will get "to far gone" to be president. But just because that happens at some point doesn't mean it was always the case. And for me its more about "we can't give somebody in his condition 4 more years and watch it get worse" than it is about him being able to do the job or not right now.

Bare in mind here that it is also quite possible that Trump will get a lot worse in the next 4.5 years......since he is going to be older than Biden was when he was elected. Will that mean he is not up to the job right now?

I don’t see how I’m “circling around it.” I pretty much agreed with you about the process of the decline. But if you’ve been saying it for more than a year, you’re still way late to the party. These concerns were brought up when he was running.

As far as not the same analysis at different points. Are you suggesting that someone may behave in a manner and showing signs of dementia one day, and then the next not, thus changing the diagnosis or opinion of it? When my grandmother had good days, she still had dementia. They’re weren’t “different analysis’” of the situation. It was the same as the day before. She just for whatever reason had a good day.

Btw, it’s refreshing to see a debate without name calling. So thank you for the intelligent debate. I read your posts and sometimes do not agree, but it’s always clear you do your homework.

@FresnoGator - your crush got into a bit of a quagmire today…someone told the press Joey is now fair game and she doesn’t like it.

She’s still cute when she’s mad though.

Reporter asks tough question.

KJP: Guys, guys, guys, remember, I’m black and gay. Thereby immune from any possible criticism on 2 fronts. Next question.

I think the problem here is I didn't do a good job of explaining my position initially. No, I am not talking about what you addressed in your middle paragraph. I am not talking about any daily variations. I am talking about a general cognitive decline that takes place in pretty much all men at some point in their lives. It can begin pretty early, but generally by age 60 or so it has started for pretty much everybody (according to scientists). I don't know what Joe Biden particular diagnosis is.......dementia? I saw a report today talking about him seeing a Parkinson's specialist.....but it could be any number of things. But my point was that since these things get worse over time there would be some point on the timeline where he would be considered unable to do his job according to an expert. It doesn't mean that as soon as the decline starts he is unfit and it doesn't necessarily mean he is unfit today (but he may be). If that was the case Donald Trump would probably already be unfit because its likely he is not as sharp as he was 10 or 20 years ago.....although he still sharp and clearly not in the same situation as Biden. But the decline is in process by age 80 for everybody.

At what point Biden is unfit to be president would need to be evaluated by an expert (being bad in a debate is more about an election than it is about doing the job)........but you and I can evaluate if we think he should continue in office for another 4 years or not given his current condition and for me that answer is clearly no.

Also appreciate the civil debate.

Peace.

This is much clearer. I understand what you’re saying and yes, I think you’re pretty much spot on. Hard to disagree with anything that you said there.

RAT claims soviet type coverup

I am not so sure about Parkinson's. My Dad had that and his symptoms were VERY different. He never lost his mind of memory. He just had difficulty with muscle movements. His mind was still sharp as hell. But I did learn there are many different types of that disease. I think he has dementia...lost his damn mind.

My dad for Parkinson’s late in life and his right arm shook a lot. His mind was sharp and then one day,he became Biden with Parkinson’s along with dementia . . I’ve seen this up close and personal and it’s a hideous disease. I don’t wish this on anyone. I’ve seen the blank stares and conversations about wild things, making zero sense.

Awful.

So sorry Nail

We’ve all seen it to a certain extent, and it’s so hard.

You guys just promise to push me off a cliff when I get all Bideny.

My dads discovery was 30 years ago. He had a very rare kind that medication did not help at all. He may not be the best example. He did have the blank stare...however his faculties were never diminished. He had motor skill problems for sure.

I heard a guy that was on MSNBC that KILLED the lefts attempt to say FJB was fine. They asked this guy how hard Parkinson's was to diagnose from afar. He answered " I can see from across the mall if someone has Parkinsons...it is the EASIEST diagnosis of all . Then they asked if by looking at FJB how anyone could possibly come to the conclusion...he said " 100% he has some form of Parkinsons....I am 100% sure." They hosts melted. It was FUNNY

Capt. He did do a good job in 16, what I’m saying is he’s not preaching the same tune whatsoever when he came out the gate 8 years ago now in 24, but I’m hoping IF he lands back in the Whitehouse he cuts out all of his cry baby nonsense and gets back to helping folks like me and you period, I’ll put it this way, I have zero faith in either candidate
