Happy Commitmas to Everyone...

Well you guys aren't jumping Clemson or Bama. Not enough recruits that highly rated to put you over those two guys. I read Clemson has signed the 2nd most 5 stars in a single class. Bama still has the record.

Jones, Evans, Washington and Ringo ...all 5*.
Some rumors still out there about Burch as well.

We might be very close or pass Clemson.

Kirby works as hard as any coach in America, but you already know this. Watch how he closes this recruiting class. You should be thankful. We just kept LSU from some big fish.

GADAWGinIraq,

Since Gators play both LSU & UGA every year, it's sort of a pick your poison situation for us !

In the words of Stephen Orr Spurrier -
"Why is it that during recruiting season they sign all the great players, but when it comes time to play the game, we have all the great players? I don't understand that. What happens to them?"

As a lifelong resident of Jacksonville, I guess I would rather see them go to the Dawgs, that way when we beat them in Jax there are no excuses & it feels so good.

Nothing like watching the Puppies run our of the stadium at halftime since the game is already decided searching for booze to drown their sorrows.

A half empty GATOR BOWL is a beautiful sight to see !

I never questioned his work ethic, I just know human nature. He's proven that hes not a great head coach. Maybe he will get better, but if he doesn't, he will likely get frustrated and bored.

No one likes to continue to do something they suck at. If Kirbs doesn't take it to the next level soon as a head coach, you'll see that, I suspect.

You're spinning, I'm just holding you accountable to that spin. We both know Grantham is a better coach than Coley, why not just put the homerism aside and admit that?
What we both know is Grantham is 0fer against the Dawgs at Louisville, Miss St, and Florida. I'm not making any excuses for Coley but I don't want Grantham going anywhere. I got blasted here when Mullen first got hired for saying 3rd and Grantham. I lived it and I've been on the opposite side for several years. Now the Gators understand it's an actual thing.
I also gave credit to several Gators and Noles on here for being right about Coley. I'm sure the leash is short for 2020 and I've heard rumors that I won't repeat. Coley will either make some changes and be productive or someone else will be doing it. People can, and do, change sometimes... which is what I'm hoping for. Sometimes they don't and they have to move on. I'll trust Kirby to handle it accordingly as he has about 7 million reasons to do so.

You're hilarious. There's a short list of coaches who have done more in a shorter time as HC. Fortunately you weren't Clemson's AD or they'd still be Clemsoning instead of beating Bama for nattys.
Kirby will still be our coach while Bama is looking for their next one (who will not be Dabo).

Coley beat Grantham.
More like the SEC officials beat Grantham..
I.E. 2 trapped balls mis-ruled as catches.
ZERO OL holding calls on pass plays for the entire game.

SEC searching for new coordinator of football officials.
At first I though that this was maybe some much needed good news. But then I read the article.

"I am delighted and humbled to be named the National Coordinator of Officials and to have the opportunity to serve the sport of college football in an expanded role," Shaw said in a statement. "I look forward to building on the foundation established by Rogers Redding in this position and to the challenges ahead in continuing to enhance officiating performance while we work to develop trust in the overall program. I am grateful for my experience in the Southeastern Conference, both on the field as an active official and as coordinator of officials, and thankful for the relationships I developed in the SEC and Sun Belt."

Looks like 'The Peter Principle' in action to me....
Going by the recent SEC officials job performance, I think that he should have been moved back down to a starting Sun Belt official. While he might be a decent official in himself, his over-seer duties 'stunk-on-ice' imo.

Fevered Refrain...

This class won't even be in the Top 20.

This next class won't be in the Top 10.

To be any good, this class has to be Top 5.

In recruiting, you have to out-recruit the big boys and be in the Top 3.

The classic example of the always moving goal posts from year to year....

While mostly ignoring Dan taking over a 4-7 'cluster' team and getting B-2-B 10 wins, NY-6 Bowls, and Top 10 Ranked Teams, all the while filling up the holes and building a high character roster to the 'Gator Standard.'

Ques: Are their any other Top 10 Academic Schools with a Top 10 recruiting class?
Duke? ND? Stanford???
Ans: NADA
