Hamas attacks Israel

The following statement made by Kalim Goodman is very interesting:

"But the Biden administration always called rafah the "redline".

Now I have never heard that but I am open minded. The word "always" indicates to me that this would have been said quite a ways back. I don't know if putting redline in quotes means that the administration actually used that term or whether it is a Kalim paraphrase of what he thinks was said. The writing is not clear.
Bottom line: This is a bold statement being made by Kalim without any proof provided. If it's true, the proof should be out there and Kalim should provide it.

Someone remind me if we're telling Zelenski how to use our weapons and money.

You can't kill an ideology, but you can damn sure make it uncomfortable to have after you wipe out everyone that holds it and play whack a mole with th^ early adopters.
True. You can't kill an ideology like freedom, but you can damn sure kill an ideology like fascist socialism, that's notably failed in nearly every instance where it has miserably failed. Mankind, in general doesn't cotton to being told what to do. I suspect it's only worked with Asians due to their submissive culture.

Like we did with white supremacist?

I already know how you will handle this. You'll just attack Biden with your biases. I get it, you hate him and he can't get right with you. Everything he does, you will find something wrong. You are, who you are.

But the Biden administration always called rafah the "redline". If Trump said that, you would praise Trump for standing by his words.

The Biden administration doesn't believe that is needed to "finish" it. They believe in different ways. Since the US is providing weapons, they should have a say in how their weapons are used.

I agree and hope the Palestinian people doesn't it like another radical group but that's not the conversation.

I disagree that going into rafah would eradicate Hamas. You can't kill an ideology.
And you are who you are - you'll never admit that Biden is trying to play both sides of this issue. So your answer is "Win Michigan", which is what I expected. Power at all costs. You just won't admit that. You don't finish a conflict by letting your enemy regroup in their stronghold.

First - this likely wouldn't have happened with Trump in the WH. The world was much more stable when he was President. Hamas would know we'd give Israel anything and everything they needed to tear their organization apart. Biden's weakness, and protection of people who want us dead so he doesn't lose votes, is a global security threat.

Secondly, I would never praise a US leader who refused to let our only ally in the Middle East deconstruct a terrorist group whose stated mission is to destroy them, and who started all of this (by putting babies in the oven, raping women and tying mothers to a chair and making them watch their children burn) on Oct 7th and STILL has American hostages.....which Biden doesn't seem concerned about at all. What if that was your relative in those savages' hands?

And "always" = March 10th 2024? Man, that was a long time ago. Bibi said his plan from the start was to take out Rafah and the critical route leading into Egypt.

Biden states he's withholding weapons to protect Palestinian civilians. Do you know why so many innocent Palestinians have been killed in this conflict?

This is so annoying. Just because you guys ONLY watch far right media (which limits which facts get in) shouldn't make you indicate that I am lying. Get off you a** and go out and read something other then what YOU want to read. You'll find Biden comments on Rafah as early as Jan with an easily google search.

I know you are going to say that I seem mad and yes in this case, I am annoyed/mad because the laziness is getting to me. If you guys refuse to learn all of the facts about a topic, then don't talk about it.

It wasn't always. As usual, he's creating his own facts and not backing it up with evidence.

If I had to guess he heard something on Morning Joe and is just repeating it.

The first instance I can find of Biden calling Rafah a "red line" is 3/10/24. And it proves the opposite of what Kalim claims - at that point the conflict hadn't seen as many civilian deaths. It proves that that's not Biden's main goal here, he couldn't care less about Palestinian lives.

What Biden cares about is not coming across to the Palestinian supporters who vote in the US as their enemy. At the same time, he's still provided support for and met with Netanyahu to show normal Americans he's "committed to Israel".

Biden is committed to only one person and thing - Joe Biden and staying in power. That's the narrative of his entire adult life.

You NEVER post citations of your claims and you're calling US lazy?

Your hypocrisy and ideological commitment knows no bounds.

Ok, Biden sucks and can't get right with you. I already know that Trump is perfect and Hamas would never, even though they started planning this when Trump was president.

I bet you will criticize Biden when he pardons Trump.

Last thing ill add, Reagan stopped sending weapons to Israel when he didn't like how they were using US weapons. It is very common but it's Biden, SO you HAVE to say something negative.

What Biden should have done from the beginning, use the billions we send Egypt as leverage to get them to open their border and taken in refugees from Gaza, temporarily, while giving Israel what ever it needed to go into Gaza and utterly destroy Hamas. It would have been a win all around. Afterwards, the Palestinians could return home to rebuild, with US and aid from other Countries. They could elect, oh say, their own government, so they are better off. Israel and all the Countries around the area would also be better off without Hamas.

You NEVER post citations of your claims and you're calling US lazy?

I shouldn't have to post citations. Some of this stuff should be common knowledge. Should I have to post the constitution, every time I speak of the 1st or 2nd amendment?

It is lazy that you guys speak on stuff without all facts. Nobody is making you response or discuss these things. I can deal with ignorance but I can't deal with laziness and the inability to freaking learn.

So when asked about Rafah, did he always call it his redline? was he ever in support of going into rafah?

Pardons Trump for what?! Trump has done nothing wrong, and that's becoming abundantly clear if you're paying attention.

And you're going all the way back to Reagan, a completely different time, conflict and weapons type - to bend over backwards to defend Biden. But I'M the partisan?

Yes Biden sucks - you don't agree? Tell me the world was not a calmer place when we had Trump in the WH.

You are citing recent events, citing dates.

Comparing that to a founding document is more Kalim strawman BS.

I bring the receipts and you NEVER do. Who's lazy?

So when asked about Rafah, did he always call it his redline? was he ever in support of going into rafah?
What's your source for this?

I looked pretty hard and the first time he used the words "Red Line" was in response to a question on March 10th.

In Feb he wasn't against it but he wanted to see the plan to protect civilians.

It's an "easy Google search" - in your words. Show me, I'm providing evidence of my search.

And answer my question - why have so many civilians died in this conflict?

The problem is NOT ONE bordering Muslim country wanted Gazan refugees. I don't know exactly why that is, but it's definitely a point to consider in all of this.

Also, Hamas would kill a civilian they caught trying to leave. You can't rack up civilian deaths using innocent women and children as human shields if they aren't there.

Lastly, I think figuring out who's Hamas and who is just a Palestinian citizen is more difficult than you'd think.

It was hypothetical, just that if he did it, you would whine about it.

Reagan just highlights that it's normal, I fully expect you to have reasons to defend your partisanship.

I will never bring receipts on common knowledge. Get your butt out of the fox news bubble.

I fully expect you guys to try to equate this to Trump impeachment. You'll say that he is abandoning our allies. I watch fox, I know what it coming.

The radical Islamists have been planning this since Israel became their own state. Seems a little odd that they waited until Birdbrain Biden was in office to act. Same goes for Putin. Whose next? Taiwan?

I agree with this. Ill add that more civilian deaths are because of Israel inability to care for the innocent.

Would you blow the entire Wal-Mart filled with people to kill one guy? I truly get that concern.

Dude - scroll up. I'm citing Reuters, PBS, Al Jazeera...I don't think I posted on FoxNews link. As I've stated 100 times, I haven't watched FoxNews in three years.

And it's not common knowledge if I can't find it. I suspect you can't either and that's why you're attacking me and not trying to have an intelligent discussion. Biden didn't make Rafah a "red line" until 3/10/24. Prove me wrong.

When the enemy puts their control structures and weapons caches under schools and hospitals who is to blame? You're the one who needs to "learn".

You are coming across very ignorant about this conflict. Hamas has ALWAYS used civilians as human shields. They then use those deaths as propaganda to win the hearts and minds of people like you...who they'd kill if they could.

Freaking leftist Wikipedia is to the right of you:

According to Charles Freilich, a former Israeli deputy national security advisor, Hamas have strategically embedded their forces among civilian populations, utilizing them as human shields and intentionally provoking Israel to cause civilian casualties in its responses. Simultaneously, Israel has consistently taken extensive measures to minimize innocent enemy casualties, employing special tactics and risking personnel - a record favorable in comparison to other countries dealing with terrorist threats.[85]
NATO is to the right of you:

Hamas’ most common uses of human shields include:
Firing rockets, artillery, and mortars from or in proximity to heavily populated civilian areas, often from ornear facilities which should be protected according to the Geneva Convention (e.g. schools, hospitals,or mosques).

Locating military or security-related infrastructures such as HQs, bases, armouries, access routes,lathes,3 or defensive positions within or in proximity to civilian areas.

Protecting terrorists’ houses and military facilities, or rescuing terrorists who were besieged orwarned by the IDF.4

Combating the IDF from or in proximity to residential and commercial areas, including using civilians for intelligence gathering missions.

You did find it. You provide proof that Biden called rafah his redline. You said that it was 3/10/24. That was when he was asked about it. That was BEFORE the school protest.

If you don't watch Fox (which i call bs), you still watch far right media and read far right publications.

He never said go into rafah and then changed to don't go into rafah.

He always called it his redline, so the proof fatman provided supports my claims. Did you provide proof saying otherwise?

I never disagree with that stance. Hamas hides with the people. Guess you just wanted to post that to feel smart. I already know that you lack self esteem, so Great job FATMAN!

I was just asking is there a better way to go into those tunnels without killing innocent people. It seems that the Biden administration believes there is, in regards to Rafah.

We haven't seen the intelligence to be 100% certain. As you know, I am comfortable in my own skin to admit that I don't know something.

This is so annoying. Just because you guys ONLY watch far right media (which limits which facts get in) shouldn't make you indicate that I am lying. Even when you are just mildly and respectfully asked to give more on a very bold assertion, you just bristle and get up on your hind legs and blame others for not knowing what you are saying. You never change. Prove your assertion or is it just a lie.

You won't answer the question. Did he ever support going into Rafah? Was that not always his redline?
1) What in the hell does the "school protest" have to do with anything? Biden is an idiot but he didn't need those violent protests to happen to know where the hard line Muslim falls on Israel and their right to respond to the 10/7 attack. Which is why he's been playing both sides and has from the start. He doesn't want to lose Michigan.

Here's a representative elected by that community in November, a month after the attack:

But Omar — a Somali American and Muslim — has come under renewed fire for condemning the Israeli government’s handling of its war against Hamas.

2) Yes, I'm very conservative in most of my political views. At least one of us is honest about that. But I do not watch FoxNews (other than the occasional clip posted here or places like IG).

3) He was talking to Bibi about seeing the plans to go into Rafah in Feb, then pivoted to the "red line" statement in March. You're wrong, he did not call it a "red line" until March - you've claimed several times it was ALWAYS his red line. Of course it was always important, it's the heart of Hamas (which he's now protecting). I provided the links to articles that prove both of those statements.

I love how someone can prove what you said is wrong, and you claim that they are backing up your claims. It's a special kind of devotion to your political ideology that I'll never understand. When I'm wrong I admit it and move on.

OK, so we finally agree you're fighting an enemy who hides in civilian populations for cover, then uses those deaths to create a propaganda war...literally using human lives as pawns for news headlines.

What do you do - just let them win? Change your tactics and get more of your soldiers killed? And who is to blame when civilians get killed - the people who put them in the middle of a war zone or the country that's defending itself from terror attacks?

Think about this answer carefully...it'll say alot about you.

My assertion was proven correct. You really need to expand your news horizon. I'm actually stunned that you guys didn't know that rafah was his redline. Your news outlets hide something that simple from y'all? Geez

You're wrong.

"Don't go in without a credible plan" is not the same as "don't go in under any circumstances" - which is what a "red line" means - it's a line you don't cross.

Here's proof that this was his stance in February. Did "always" start March 10th?

He can't prove what isn't true.

All he can prove is he's a far-left ideologue that cannot ever admit when he's wrong.

I'll ignore the pointless stuff.

Yes he is trying threading the needle. I don't disagree with that. What i disagree with and/or I am debating is this particular decision as an example of that.

Every president has to thread the needle on things that divide their party, just see Trump on abortion and Ukraine.

Unlike you, I get it and I don't criticize any of them for it. It's apart of the game.

So what am I wrong about? You still haven't answered that. In order for me to be wrong. You'll have to provide evidence that Biden saying that rafah wasn't his redline. Everytime rafah was mentioned, he called or indicated that was his redline. Show me I'm wrong.

You're wrong.

Here's proof that this was his stance in February. Did "always" start March 10th?

CNN reported that Biden, for the first time Wednesday, said weapons to Israel would be limited if Israel went into Rafah.
